Chapter 18: Complicated

Your POV

"(Y/N)-chan!!" the Japanese girl cheered as she ran over to hug me. "You bring my clothes?"

"Hi, Noodle!" I smiled as I hugged her back. "Yep! It's right here." I handed the bag over to Noodle and she quickly bowed."Arigato, (Y/N)-chan." She smiled."No problem." I smiled back.

"Who this?" Noodle asked as she pointed at my best friend.

"Oh..That's my best friend Millie." I answered.Noodle nodded her head and waved at Millie. She smiled and waved back.

"You guys want snacks?" Noodle offered.

"Sure thing." Millie nodded."Great! Follow me to kitchen! We have (your favourite food).""Oh my god! That's my favourite food!" I cheered in excitement. "Cool! Russel is making that right now!" Noodle replied.

Millie, 2D, Murdoc, and I followed Noodle to the kitchen, only to be greeted by none other than Russel.

"Russel-kun! We have visitors!" Noodle shouts.

The big man turns around and smiles. "Hey y'all. The food'll be ready in a bit."

We all then sit around the dining table. Millie beside me, me beside 2D, 2D beside Murdoc, Murdoc beside Noodle.

After waiting for a few minutes, Russel puts a big plate of (your favourite food) on the table and sits beside Millie.

"Maple. Millie Maple." She smiles, showing her hand to Russel.

Russel nods his head and shakes Millie's hand. "I believe you know my name already, Ms. Maple."

"Indeed I do, Mr. Hobbs." She giggles.

"Let's dig in, shall we?" Murdoc asks while he is already getting food from the big plate.

"Oh hell yeah!" I exclaim, getting food from the big plate as well. "Hey, 2d, don't be afraid to get some yourself!"

"O-oh yeh." he stutters as he takes a bit of food.

"(Y/N), wot got yew spaced out earlia? Did yew sleep well?" 2D asked.

I hesitated to answer."Well, I did." I replied. "It's just that....It's just that there are lots of things going on in my head right now."

"Oh. I see." 2D nods. "Well, if anyfink's botherin' yew don' 'esitate tew talk tew us."

"Alright." I answer with a mouth full of (your favourite food).

Millie clears her throat, catching my attention. "(Y/N), manners." she scoffs.

"Sorry." I mumble.

"Food is very good, Russel-kun!" Noodle comments.

"Thanks, lil' girl." He smiles. "What do y'all think?"

"I love it!" I answer."It's great!" Millie smiles. "Who knew you were a good cook?""Yeh. Good." Murdoc mumbles.2D nods his head. "It's nice."

Later, we all finish our food. Millie walks to the living room with Murdoc and Noodle.

"Ey (Y/N), can yew can stay ova fo' a movie noyt with us late'?" 2D asks.

"Oh, sure! I just have to go grocery shopping later." I answered with a smile.

2D nodded and walked to his room.

That leaves Russel and I in the dining area.

"I'll help you wash the dishes." I offer."You don't have to-""I insist.""If you say so."

We both collect the plates and walk to the kitchen.

"You know, 2D talks about you a lot." Russel brings up as he washes the dishes.

"Wh-what?" I blush. "Really? What does he say?"

"Well, he talks about how you're a nice person and all that." Russel answers. "I think he likes you, you know."

I blush even more at the remark Russel makes.

Could this be that he actually likes me? I'll only believe it when 2D tells me himself.

"Aww I know you like him, (Y/N)." Russel smirks as he nudges me. "It's kinda obvious."

Oh shit he found out.

"Maybe I do..." I say as I fix the stray strand of hair in front of my eye. "I just don't wanna tell him yet. Things are pretty complicated for him, after all."

"I understand what you're saying." Russel nods.

"I'll just keep it silent for now. You should, too."

Russel slides his fingers across his lips and gives me a light smile."My lips are sealed."

"Thanks, Russ.""It's no biggie."

"Aaaaanyways, I gotta go to the grocery. I'll buy some chips for us to eat tonight. See you later Russ.""See ya."---------------------------

2D's POV

I walked across my room with thoughts of (Y/N) in my head.

Dis es compl'cated. I leik 'er but...woul' she leik me bac? Plus, I jus' go' ou' of a relati'nship. I dunno ef I can haf a new one jus' yet.Meybe I shud talk tew Russ 'bout dis.

*Knock Knock*

"Hey, 2D this is (Y/N). I gotta go now. Millie and I have to go grocery shopping." (Y/N) says in the other side of the door. "See you tonight."

"Aight, see ya luv." I answer.
