Part 20

A honking sound from behind us pulled us apart. Louis raised his hand apologetically and drove off through the intersection. I smiled happy with myself.

“You become less and less innocent every day,” he commented. I shrugged innocently and smile at him. He glance at me and shook his head smiling himself. “Listen when we get there I want you to stick close to me. We’ll be meeting up with a friend of mine who can sneak us in the side door,” he explained. I nodded slowly.

“Is this dangerous?” I asked looking at him.

“It’s not life threatening Jenn, but don’t worry nothing is going to happen,” he assured me.

“That’s what you said at your house party,” I mumbled to myself but quickly regretted it as Louis’ face fell. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean that I guess I’m just kind of nervous,” I explained looking back at him. He nodded slowly and gave me a serious look.

“I’ll keep you safe this time. I promise,” he told me sternly. I nodded and placed my hand on his lap showing that I trusted him.

We soon pulled up to a building that had tons of people around it. He parked his car and came quickly to my side to open the door for me. I smiled up at him taking his hand and got out of the car.

Louis gave me a light kiss then wrapped his arms securely around my waist as led m to a back alley. I looked around nervously as we walked farther from the loud main club entrance.

“Tomlinson, good to see you,” a dark figure came into view. Louis let go of me to hug the man the draped his arm around me again.

“It’s been a long time Sam, this is my girlfriend Jennifer,” Louis introduced. Sam put out his hand and I nervously took it.

“Good to meet you my dear,” he said and kissed the top of my hand. I offered a shy smile back then looked up at Louis inching closer to him.

“So can you get us in?” he asked. Sam nodded looking around a motioned us to follow him. Louis kissed the top of my head leading me further into the alley.

Sam opened up a side door and looked around making sure no one else followed.

“Thanks mate I owe you,” Louis said bumping knuckles with him then walked in. Sam gave me a smile and I returned one back but my stomach churned. Maybe I just wasn’t used to these kinds of places but I didn’t like it.

We walked down a dim lighted hall and soon found ourselves inside the club. It was really loud and dim lighted with many colored lights flashing everywhere. A sea of people filled the room. Some were casually drinking, some were dancing and some looked drunk off their ass. The music blared over the speakers and the deep thud of the bass bugged my ears.

Louis took my hand tighter and I gripped his arm for dear life not wanting to get lost in the sea of people.

We walked through the crowd and soon came to a table of people. I didn’t recognize any of them except for a familiar curly haired one. I smiled as he greeted us both with a hug.

“Jenn good to see you again,” Harry said pulling me in for a tight hug. I was almost lost in his tall statue.

“Good to see you too, keeping out of trouble?” I teased. He gave me a wink.

“Always do, come sit I just ordered a round of shots,” Harry said sliding back into the booth. Louis motioned me to follow and he slide in after me. “Guys I’d like you to meet my good friends Louis and Jenn, and these are Amber, Tracy and Nick,” Harry motioned to a girl with blond hair, a girl with black and died blue hair and a guy with spiked up blond hair.

“Good to meet you, come here often?” Nick asked.

“A few times yes but this is Jenn’s first time,” Louis explained and smiled at me.

“You can to a good place the music is great here,” Amber said to me. I smiled.

“I can tell,” I said with a nod.

A waiter then showed up with a tray of shots. One was placed down in front of me and I looked at it awkwardly.

“Alright on the count of three everyone ready?” Harry asked loudly trying to speak over the music. No. I thought to myself and slowly picked it up.

“One, Two, Three,” everyone chanted and then took the shot. It burned going down my throat and made me shut my eyes in disgust. How do people drink this stuff? Louis draped his arm around me with a loud ‘ah’ and slammed his shot glass back down. I really hoped I didn’t have to do that again, the burning sensation was unpleasantly tingling all the way down my throat.

“What’s that great?” Louis asked. I gave him a fake smile.

“Whose up for another one?” Nick asked and raised his hand to call on the waitress girl. He ordered 6 more shots before I even got the chance to protest.

Before I knew it another one was placed down in front of me.

“Hey, hey here’s to Louis’ and Jenn’s relationship, she’s the only girl who seems to be able to put up with him,” Harry said raising his tiny glass.

“Cheers,” Louis chanted clinking everyone glass then drank it. I reluctantly forced the liquid down my throat and gave a full body shudder as it burned worse this time.

Louis ordered another normal drink and everyone casually started to talk. I had to admit that Amber Tracy and Nick were nice enough people but they definitely weren’t the type I would spend time with. Then again that’s exactly what I said about Louis.

Before long Nick and Tracy left to dance and Amber left to find the bathroom.

“Wanna try a bit?” Louis asked pointing his beer at me. I shook my head.

“No thanks I have to try to not reek of alcohol when I get home,” I said.

“You two should just crash at my flat, that way we can get as drunk as we want,” Harry suggested and I could tell he was already starting to slur his words.

“Cheers to that mate but Jenn’s parents are real hard asses she actually has a curfew,” Louis said.

“You know most teenagers our age have curfews,” I defended.

“I don’t,” Louis stated.

“Even if you did it’s not like you’d pay attention to it,” I shot at him. He laughed a bit taking a swig of his drink.

“You’re probably right,” he said. I sighed.

“I must say I never pictured you two hooking up,” Harry said looking from me to Louis. “I mean that day at Louis’ party I was certain you’d rid him from your life forever,” Harry commented.

“Guess I lucked out,” Louis said pulling me in close.

“You really did, she’s the perfect mixture of innocence and bad ass,” Harry said. I laughed at that.

“I’m the farthest thing from a bad ass trust me,” I said.

“Look where you are Jenn, no goody goody toe shoes would ever dare coming in here, especially when they’re underage,” Harry pointed out. I looked around the club. He was right. I was changing, I wasn’t a delinquent but at the same time I wasn’t no innocent child anymore.

“A girl can have fun,” I fought back with a shrug. Louis chuckled a bit kissing the side of my head.

“Are you a virgin?” Harry soon asked leaning closer to me. My eyes went wide as I stared back at him in shock.

“That’s none of your business,” I shot at him. He laughed sitting up a bit and looked at Louis.

“That’s a yes, guess she’s still pure in some ways,” Harry teased. I rolled my eyes and turned to face Louis.

“I want to go home,” I told him.

“What? But babe we just got here,” Louis said in disappointment.

“I don’t care I told you if I didn’t like it I’d leave now I want to leave,” I told him firmly.

“Come now darling I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m just playing around,” Harry offered.

“Yea just cause he’s a rude drunk doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. Come lets dance for a bit,” Louis said sliding out of the seat and putting his hand out to me. I sighed taking his hand. I guess dancing would be better than listening to Harry talk and ask me stupid questions.

Louis smiled at me and pulled me away from the table and over onto the dance floor. We made our way to where there was a little bit of room. Louis turned to face me and placed his hands on my waist pulling me in closely.
