Ten

"Alanah, Kakashi." The Third greeted us.

The door closed behind us and the kids. "Hello." I say and smile.

"I have a mission for all of you. It's simple, considering you all have been fighting a lot recently. I'm feeling generous. Your mission is to house sit for a family that is going on a long vacation." He said.

"Aw, Man. I thought we were going to protect a princess or something." Naruto groaned.

Sakura covered his mouth angrily. "Shut up Naruto! Let him finish."

The Third Started speaking again. "His house isn't too far from here, it's right on the lake right outside of the village."

I look at him, shocked. Sakura and Naruto gasp. "It's a lake house? Man! We're gonna live like royalty."

"When do we leave?" I ask.

"This afternoon at 2." He responded. I look at the time. It's 12.

"Um, one question?" Naruto asked.

"Yes?"

"How many rooms are there? Because I can't stay in the same room as Kakashi Sensei and Alanah." Naruto said. Sakura and Sasuke nodded.

"How come?" He asked. I blush and Kakashi looks down.

"You don't.. Wanna know." Naruto looked down.

"Okay. Well, if that's all you needed, then you are dismissed." The Hokage chuckled and smirked. We all walk out. "Okay. You guys go home to pack. We will meet you at the entrance of the village at one." Kakashi said.

"Okay." They run off. "Why are we leaving so early?" I ask.

"So I have an excuse not to fuck you so we aren't late." He chuckled and I blush and follow him down the steps.

"Finally!" Sakura and Naruto say, running into the house. Sasuke goes upstairs and & I hear a door shut.

I look at the house and it's so beautiful. "Wow, this place is soo pretty." I gasp. I walk out to the glass doors and look outside. The lake was glistening under the sunlight, and my eyes twinkle at the sight.

I walk upstairs and look inside the rooms. One room, Sasuke and Naruto were arguing. Then Sakura was brushing her hair in one room, and the master bedroom was empty, but it was gorgeous. I feel a presence behind me and Kakashi scoops me up in his arms. I squeal and giggle. He walks in the room and he closes the door with his foot.

"Gross!" I hear Narutos faded yell in the room. Kakashi and I giggle. "Wanna go swimming?" I ask , trailing my fingers down his chest.

"Sure." He set me down and I go to my back pack. I pull out a black bikini and put it on, then he steps out of the bathroom with only his face mask on and a bathing suit. I hold his hand and we walk downstairs and outside. Once we get outside, we immediately get splashed. I wipe the water from my eyes and look. Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto were all holding now empty buckets of water. "You guys are SO dead!" I say playfully.

I use my chakra and swirl water in my hand. Then I splash all three of them. "Okay! Okay! You win!" Naruto yelled, surrendering. I giggle and Kakashi swooped me up in his arms again, this time so I'm laying across his shoulder. His strong arms hold my legs against his chest, and I squeal.

"Kakashi! Put me down!" I giggle. I playfully punch him in the back and he never lets go. But he's walking. Then he drops me in the water.

I come back up, and he's laughing. "Oops. My hands must've slipped."

I jump on him and I turn and look. We're next to a large rock and the kids are playing in the water. I smirk when I get an idea. I grab Kakashi's hand and pull him behind the rock so nobody can see us.

I grab his face and pull his mask down. I kiss him passionately, and his arms wrap around my body. "Someone's eager." He teased.

"Shut up, I have needs." I kiss him again. He chuckles and runs his fingertips down my back. "Hey, Kakashi Sensei! You and Alanah come help us build a Sand Castle!" Naruto yelled.

I smile at Kakashi and stand up. He follows close behind. I run over to the kids and look at what they have so far. It was small, and pitiful. I giggle.

"When I was little, me and my parents used to come to the lake and build sand castles." I grab a bucket and scoop up a bunch of sand in it, to the top. Then I turn it around and pull it up so it creates a part of the castle.

"So, you're pretty skilled at this sand castle stuff, huh?" Sakura grabbed another bucket and did the same.

"Sure, I've done it lots of times. But I wouldn't say skilled." I laugh.

Kakashi kneels next to Naruto and I, and Sakuras Castle falls over. She huffs in frustration and Kakashi speaks up.

"Here, I'll help you." He said. She looked at him as if he had three heads.

I giggle and so does Naruto. I look over at Sasuke who was sitting on a rock, looking out to the ocean. I think for a second, then I stand. I take a couple of steps and Naruto grabs my wrist. "You probably don't wanna do that."

"Why not?" I ask. He blushes. "Sasuke is kind of.. Mean." He said. I smile at him. "It's okay Naruto. It takes a lot to hurt my feelings."

He lets go and gives me a small smile before running back to everyone and telling them. I sit next to Sasuke and he scoots over and looks at me. If looks could kill, I swear.

"Why aren't you with everyone else?" I ask him. "Haven't you figured it out by now? I'm not a people person." He rolled his eyes.

I sigh and look at him in the eyes. "Sasuke. I know you're going through a lot. But, since it's a day off, don't you think we could all have fun together, as a team?" I say.

He breaks eye contact and stands up. "You couldn't possibly know what I've been through."

Little does he know, my parents were murdered also. "Believe me, Sasuke. I know more than you think. At least, just help us build the sand castle. Then I'll leave you alone. But, you can't complain about loneliness when there's people around you who want to let you in." I say, and turn and walk away. I felt tears burning in my eyes and I jump onto the cliff, away from everyone.

"I can't let them see me cry. It's a sign of weakness." I say to myself, sitting on a rock. I let the tears fall down my cheeks as I watch the sun beam onto the water.

It's hard seeing someone suffer the same pain I suffered from not too long ago. I am much like Naruto and Sasuke.

They just don't see it how I do. I wipe my tears and tuck my knees into my chest. "What's wrong?" I hear behind me. I turn. It's Sakura.

I smile at her weakly. "Nothing Sakura, it's fine!" I reassure her. She sits next to me on the rock and put her hand on my shoulder. "Did Sasuke say something?"

"No, why?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Nothing. He joined us, though. But Naruto turned it into a competition, as always." Sakura said with an annoyed expression.

I giggle and look at her. "You really like him, dont you?"

Her cheeks turn dark red and she starts stuttering. "Hum.. I don't know what you mean?" I look at her with a 'are you serious' face.

She giggles awkwardly and sighs. "Okay, yes, I do. But there's no hope in hell of him ever liking me. He's already told me so many times how annoying I am." Sakura looked down. I rest my pointer finger under her chin and push her head up. "Sasuke has some internal things going on, don't take it too personal." I smile.

She smiles back at me. "Thank you Alanah."

"But.. What about you? You're dating Kakashi Sensei.. Right?" Sakura asked me. My cheeks get hot and I think. "I'm not totally sure yet."

"Well, from what I've seen, it certainly looks like you two have an interest in each other.." She giggles. I remember her walking in on us.

"Yeah.." I say. She stands up. "Well we should get going back to the house. They're probably wondering what's taking so long."

I nod and follow her back down.
