MALFOY MANOR
15th MARCH 2018
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Ginny yelled as the doorbell rang and rang again. The person behind the door obviously hadn't any patience and to be frank, she didn't either right now.
She opened the door with a smiling face. Only to slam it closed again.
A soaking wet Ronald Weasley entered the house only to be faced by five pairs of glaring eyes. After nearly an hour of pounding on the door and yelling through the letterbox he had eventually been let in by a disgruntled Pansy, who had only agreed to let him in because he was waking up her sleeping baby.
He took a closer look at the people in front of him. Blaise and Pansy were both glaring at him, both of their arms were crossed but Ron could see Pansy's hand itching to reach her wand. Next was Ginny, she already had her wand out and held it firmly in her clenched fist to her left. Her eyes were rimmed with red and it was obvious she had been crying a lot recently. Harry also had his wand out and was pointing it at him, his lips stretched into a thin line, ready to spit out a curse at any minute. Finally there was Draco, even from only being there five minutes Ron could see that Hermione's kidnapping had been treating him badly. He was deathly pale and thin, his prominent cheekbones practically breaking through his skin. His eyes were red and bloodshot, and his normally perfect hair was a mess. He also wore a pair of baggy trousers and a thin t-shirt, very different from his usual suit and tie. He was glaring but Ron could see from his stance that he hadn't the energy to hurt him in any way; with or without a wand.
Ginny was the first to speak, noticing the silence and the steadying of her husband's hand.
"What are you doing here Ron?" she said in a low voice, it was solemn and Ron was taken aback by the tone. He had never heard his sister talk like that before, at least not to him.
Ron glanced around the room.
"I..."
"The last time you spoke to me Weasley, I told you to leave us alone," Draco said, his eyes lowering to the floor.
"Um, actually," Ron started "Hermione said that it didn't change any..."
Draco looked up and his eyes narrowed again "I did not let you into my house so I could be cheeked and reminded of my late wife," he spat. Ron's mouth fell open.
"She could be still alive you know, are you even looking for her?"
"Of course we are Weasley, we have the best Aurors on the case," Harry retorted angrily. Ron scoffed, annoyed by how they weren't doing anything to help Hermione.
"Yet you are here soothing pretty boy whilst you leave the others, including me, to do your dirty work,"
Ron only just had time to duck as a curse sped his way. He looked around to see that neither Ginny, Harry nor Draco had shot the curse, instead; Pansy was the one who had her wand directly pointing at him, having removed it from her pocket seconds earlier.
"Don't act like you are the victim in this situation Weasley! We are doing all we can to find Hermione and we don't need you telling us to do better!" She shrilled. Ron gulped and took a step back as Pansy lowered her wand, returning it to her pocket. Blaise stepped forward.
"Why are you here Weasley?" he asked in a calm but stern voice. It reminded Ron of the way Professor Dumbledore had used to speak when he was trying to get something out of a student.
Ron turned to Ginny, Harry and Draco. He smiled weakly.
"I didn't come here to lecture and criticize you; I came here to see if I could help you."
That's when the curses started flying.

ONE HOUR LATER
"You're lucky Ginny stopped Harry before he could cause you any more harm than just a bloody lip," Eva sighed as she dabbed a flannel at Ron's upper lip. It had swollen to almost double in size on the left side of his mouth and stung painfully whenever she touched it.
"And a bloody bad back," Ron hissed as she touched an open cut again.
"Yeah well, you're lucky you hit the wall and not the window a metre away. Now stop squirming!"
Ron huffed, shrugging his shoulders.
"How's he doing Eva?" Ginny asked, entering the kitchen and pulling five mugs from the cabinet "Do you want a hot drink?"
"Yes please," Ron mumbled
"Not you," she turned to the young girl "Eva?"
"No thanks, but I'll have some pumpkin juice if you're offering drinks,"
Ginny smiled before putting the kettle on. After having married Hermione, Draco had become quite accustomed to muggle appliances. He rather enjoyed them.
Ginny handed Eva her drink before telling her to go and see her father. The blonde nodded before saying goodbye to Ron and leaving the room.
"She's nice," Ron said once she had left "I didn't think Malfoy would ever have nice children,"
Ginny's eyes narrowed "Well you didn't think Draco would marry Hermione,"
Ron shut his mouth, looking down at the ground.
After handing out everyone's drinks, Ginny sat down next to her brother.
"I can't believe Draco is letting you stay in his house after everything you did," she sighed, stirring her tea and tapping the spoon on the rim. Ron shrugged.
"You should thank him," she suggested.
Ron let out a cruel laugh "Thank Malfoy, yeah right,"
"Ron!" Ginny cried "You don't understand what he's going through; his wife has been kidnapped by a psychopath who is most likely doing it to get to him. Not only that; but Hermione is pregnant as well!"
"I don't understand? Hermione is my friend as well," Ron argued.
"Last time I checked, you weren't exactly at the top of Hermione's friends list," Ginny said snidely.
"I apologized," Ron grumbled, picking up Ginny's untouched tea and putting it to his lips. She did nothing but raise an eyebrow.
"Do you even remember what you apologized for? Or did you get rid of that along with your brain when you decided to come here?"
Ron scowled slightly. He then he placed the mug back on the table and let out a sigh.
"I came here because I thought you guys would be too upset to want to study this case, Hermione's your best friend Ginny and I know that when we were at school I would have done anything to help Hermione if something like this had happened, but I also would've been too upset to even hear her name," he finished with a solemn look and Ginny looked into his eyes. Seeing nothing but innocence and regret she pushed her tea over to him.
"You finish it, you need it more than me at the moment," she gave a weak smile; "I'll sort you out a room and get you some of Harry's clothes... if you promise me one thing?"
"Anything," Ron replied taking the warm cup in his freezing hands.
"Say thank you to Draco," she said lightheartedly but with a stern tone before leaving the kitchen.

11th APRIL 2018
Harry barged open the door to Draco's study; where their plans to find Hermione were set up. Draco, Ron, Blaise and Ginny were already in there, drinking their now lukewarm tea as they studied the evidence they had of Hermione's unknown whereabouts.
Hermione had been missing nearly two months and they were still at a standstill on where to look for her. On the 2nd of April, Draco had gone into shut down mode, stating that they would never find Hermione again and that she was dead, that they should give up and leave him by himself to mourn. But his friends were having none of it. Harry had sent three of his best Aurors to work on it immediately and Ginny had contacted her friends at the papers to put up a missing ad for her. Just in case Hermione had escaped but didn't have her wand with her. Blaise had contacted his highest friends in the Ministry, and Pansy had asked her old Slytherin roommates if they husbands knew anything about it, most of them being ex-death eaters.
But this piece of crumpled up paper in Harry's hand was going to save them all, especially Draco.
He rammed it into the table, pushing away everything else that was completely worthless.
"I've got it!" he yelled in triumph. Ron crossed his arms, walking over to the paper and narrowing his eyes at it.
"You've got... what?"
Harry rolled his eyes, ignoring him.
"I talked to some friends at Azkaban and they finally managed to get one of their ex-death eater inmates to give them the address of every pureblood house they had been to," he gestured to the sheet up paper and suddenly everyone was a lot more interested.
"Brilliant mate, so which house belongs to Dolohov?"Blaise asked, setting his mug down and moving closer. Harry looked up sheepishly.
"I don't know,"
Draco's mug dropped to the ground, smashing, causing the liquid to seep down through the floorboards.
"The good news is, there are only ten houses on the list, and he said at least one belongs to Dolohov,"
Draco seethed "And that's supposed to make me feel better Potter!" Harry winced at the name "My wife and unborn child have been missing for two months and all you can say is 'the good news is'? There is no good news you Gryffindor bastard!"
There was silence for a while before "Sorry, I didn't mean..."
"I know, it's fine, I understand what you're going through what now, you have every right to be angry,"
Ginny sighed at the two men, smiling slightly at how quickly they had changed from being worst enemies to the best of friends "Let's just work it out by the process of elimination okay?" she offered, taking the paper and looking at the addresses "For starters we can cross off Riddle House and Malfoy Manor, we know those aren't Dolohov's houses,"
"And Gargoyle Mansion, that's Goyle's old house," Blaise added, peering over Ginny's shoulder.
"19 Willows Place belongs to Daphne and Astoria;" Pansy said "I used to spend my summers there sometimes,"
"See, that's already four gone," Ginny said excitedly
"And don't forget Parkinson Vale, that's my dad's house," Pansy cut in, suddenly seeing her own old address on there.
"Five,"
"Only five left, do you know them?"
Blaise, Draco and Pansy peered at the list before shaking their heads sadly. Ginny offered Ron and Harry the list "Do you know any of them?"
"I've only heard of Gargoyle, Malfoy and Riddle," Ron said apologetically.
"Harry?" Ginny asked, her voice full of hope as she gazed into the bottle green orbs of her husband.
"Sorry Gin, I only know the ones already mentioned,"
The five adults looked at each other "Well then, I suppose we better start a search of these houses,"
They nodded before looking at the first address they didn't know, taking hold of each other hands they nodded before quickly apparating away.
Pansy heard the whoosh of apparition just as she was about to ask anyone if they wanted another drink. She guessed they must have figured something out and, with a tiny smile on her face, decided to make her way back downstairs towards the children. It was now the Easter holidays so Aleasha was back to spend some time with Eva and Hyperion. James, Albus and Lily had been staying but were over at George and Angelina's joke shop to spend the day with their cousins.
"Any news?" Eva asked as soon as Pansy closed the door to the living room. She was always asking if the adults had any leads on where her mother was yet, she missed her terribly and couldn't wait for everything to be back to normal again. Pansy sat down on the sofa, a tiny smile on her face.
"They've apparated somewhere so hopefully they've found something,"
Eva seemed to let out a sigh of relief "Oh Merlin! Hopefully mum will be back in no time then!"
Pansy nodded slowly, not wanted to lift the girls hopes too far, after all, just because they had a lead didn't mean Hermione was there, or worse, if she was still alive.
Pansy shuddered at the thought of her closest girl friend dead. Standing up, she crossed the room to shut out the soft spring breeze that suddenly felt like harsh, icy wind.
She barely had time to jump away from the window as a stunning spell shot passed her shoulder from the bushes outside. A scream erupted from inside the room and she turned to see Aleasha rolling onto the floor as the spell headed straight for her. It missed her, but only just.
A loud thud echoed throughout the house and four hands were quickly on four different wands. Eva and Aleasha were closest to the door with Hyperion a little way off. Pansy slammed the window shut and locked it before taking her space next to Hyperion. Her wand raised.
The four of them just stared at the door for minutes, waiting in silence for whatever, or whoever, had entered the house.
"Check upstairs!"
Suddenly, Pansy froze. Upstairs sleeping was not only Leo, but also Quinn and Astrum.
By the look of horror on Eva's face, it seemed the teenager had also realized that both her sister's were upstairs. She darted towards the door but Aleasha held her back.
Then the door barged open and a small group of rough, dirty males walked in. Pansy gulped when one of them rolled up his sleeves, revealing a squirming dark mark. They were Death Eaters and they had broken out of Azkaban.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" the one closest to the front cackled, his yellowing teeth displayed. He stepped forward and cupped Eva's chin, forcing her to look up at him.
"You're a pretty little thing aren't you?" he hissed, Eva looked away in disgust as he breathed on her.
Hyperion seethed, glaring at the Death Eater "Don't touch my sister," he growled, pointing his wand at the man.
The Death Eater raised an eyebrow but stepped away from Eva. His hands raised in mock surrender.
"As you wish Master Malfoy, after all, we want you in one piece so your dear father will come back begging us to let you go!"
Eva's eyes widened at the sound of her father "What did you do to him!?" she shrilled, her voice cracking at the intensity. The Death Eater smirked and Pansy gasped when she recognized him as Yaxley, one of her father's closest friends.
"Don't worry; your precious blood traitor of a father is safe... for now. But I wouldn't be so sure about your mudblood mother," a sick laugh erupted from his mouth, his beady eyes gleaming with amusement. Seconds later he was on the floor, unconscious.
The rest of the Death Eaters looked around and saw a fiery Pansy opposite them, her wand still pointing towards where Yaxley had just stood.
"Nobody calls my friend a mudblood!" she snarled.
She threw another curse as one of the men reached for his wand and angry boils burst out of his arm. His neighbour shot a curse back but Aleasha jumped in front, casting a protego charm that surrounded both her and her mother.
A fight quickly broke out, curses and spells flying left, right and centre. The three children fought fiercely as the Death Eaters approached them. Hyperion turned out to be very skilled in charms and hexes, firing them at the Death Eater's vital points such as face, legs and stomach. Eva ducked behind a sofa, shooting stunning spells at anyone who neared her. Aleasha actually tackled one of the men to the ground from behind when he advanced on Eva. She picked up a nearby table lamp and smashed it across his head until he fell to the ground passed out.
"CALL FOR BACK UP!" she yelled across the room to Pansy once she was back on her feet. Pansy nodded, stunning a nearby enemy before running to the window and banging it open to cast a patronus for Blaise. It bounded from her wand and outside, disappearing just as she heard Aleasha scream once again.
She was curled up in a corner with her hands over her head shrieking. Yaxley stood with his wand pointed at her, grinned maliciously. Pansy recognised the unforgivable curse immediately and it sickened her that anyone would use the cruciatus curse on an innocent teenage girl. Her teenage daughter!
Before she even knew what had happened, a flash of green shone out of her wand, hurtling towards Yaxley practically blaring anger. He turned and his sick grin faded as the curse hit him square in the chest, the ghost of horror still evident on his face as his back slammed against the wall behind him. His eyes glazed over as he slid down the wall. Dead.
Pansy's hands were shaking. She had just killed someone. Of course they had been torturing her daughter but she had still murdered someone. She was a murderer.
Two more figures raced into the room, the smaller threw hexes at the enemy whilst the taller ran to her. She sunk to the ground, her face in her hands.
"Pans, Pansy it's okay!" the voice was saying but she only ignored them. Strong arms encircled her, pulling her out of the room. She was crying now. She had murdered someone!
Then it was silent.
I also apologise for the cliffhanger at the end. That was unneccesary (<< never know how to spell that word? Is it right??)
