Chapter 19

*Ryuua's POV*

Whyyyyyyy?! I'm still so tired and I can't be arsed with fighting. You could literally see my dark aura around me as I stood in front of the grass village ninja.

Hayate explained the rules but blah blah blah. He then shouted "Begin!" Right next to my ear making me glare at him before jumping back.

I created hand signs and used my Mind over Matter jutsu.

I scanned over the persons weaknesses and found that it was mist. Not being able to see huh? Good thing I have the advantage then!

I released the jutsu and created hand signs just in time to avoid on coming shuriken. "Mist technique! Settled rain!" I shouted and a thick mist enveloped the arena. My mist was different from others though, mine hides a persons chakra and blacks out their vision fully, it does this to everyone except the caster, so I'm safe.

I smirked then located the grass ninja creating hand signs for another jutsu. I shook my head then ran at them with my katana. I cut them down without them knowing but they just poofed into smoke.

"What the-" I began but got cut off as I got hit with shuriken in my arm, shoulder and leg. I screamed as I got kicked over to the wall. I could hear my friends gasping as I sat up slowly.

"How?!"

"You see, I know your clan Seki Ryuua and quite frankly, you shouldn't just use the first fear you find." The ninja laughed and I hissed while pulling out the shurikens.

I tied bandages over them quickly before creating more hand signs. "Crystal Elimination Jutsu!" I shouted out as a black crystal dragon appeared with pastel red markings. The dragon flew at the ninja and slashed its claws but she dodged.

She didn't see his next attack though and ended up getting cut on her right side. She screamed but cut down the dragon as it broke into crystals.

"Not so powerful without your dragon huh?" She taunted but I just smirked and took out my katana. The katana absorbed the crystal fragments the turned from pastel red to black.

"What?!? Ugh, Fire style! Heavenly flame jutsu!" They called as a herd of rhinos made of flame charged at me. I cut them all down but one burned my leg. I bit back a scream as I ran at the ninja with my katana.

She deflected it with her kunai and we both jumped back. We put our weapons away then had a taijutsu battle.

After a few hits on each of us I kicked her stomach with so much force the crater in the wall was like as big as sasuke's ego!

"Sorry bout that." I smiled sarcastically as they fell to the ground.

"Heh, and I was going to tell you about your clan. And also, I know where your brother is." The laughed evilly before coughing up blood. I froze and stared at the ninja in front of me.

"The winner of this match is Seki Ryuua." Hayate announced and my friends cheered. I shook off what they said but grabbed the ninja by the collar making everyone gasp in shock.

"I don't have a brother! Never lie about my clan." I hissed before making my way up to the balconies.

"RYUUA!" I got tackled to the floor by Yuki, Umi, Naruto and Lee.

"C-can't b-breath." I chocked out as Lee pulled me to my feet.

"Well done Ryuua! You kicked ass!" Naruto and Yuki punched the air excitedly.

"You were really good." Umi smiled.

"Your youth shon through!" Lee gave me a thumbs up and his signature smile. I laughed at them as the others congratulated me.

"Well done Ryuua." Shika grinned lazily and I smiled before leaning on him.

"Jeez, that jutsu uses up a lot of chakra. Sorry shika." He looked at me as I tried to get up but he put an arm round my waist and held me up.

"Your good." He chuckled and I looked over to see who was fighting next.

Utaka Umi vs Ichi Tai

"Go for it Umi!" We all cheered her on as she made her way to the arena to begin her match.

"Ok, are you both ready?" Hayate asked any they both nodded. "Ok then, BEGIN." And with that they kicked up dirt and ran at each other.

*Yuki's POV*

"You did it Umi! That's mah girl!" Kiba cheered as we all clapped for her.

She took out that stupid mist ninja. She used a lot of chakra but managed to beat him to a pulp!

"Thanks guys." She said before she fainted. Kiba caught her and shook his head.

"always out doing your self huh?" He chuckled as the medical ninja took her to get rest.

"Can the next contestants come down please." I looked at the board and smirked when I did.

Itami Takeshi vs Tenji Ruka

"Hn." Takeshi walked over to the stairs as we wished them both good luck.

"Kick his ass Ruka chan!" I shouted and he winked to me.

The match began but I got bored so I poofed over to where Temari was.

"Hiya Temari chan!" I smiled as she jumped a bit.

"Jeez Yuki, don't sneak up on people like that." She scolded but I shrugged.

"Ryuua did well huh?" Kankuro looked back to the fight where Ruka was throwing punches and Takeshi was blocking them.

"Yep! She was good and so was Umi chan." I grinned and they both nodded.

"How are you injuries?" Gaara asked from leaning against the wall. I left the railings went next to him.

"They're fine, anyway, how ya doing?" I sat down next to him.

"I'm fine." He said before sitting down as well. I smiled then turned to him.

"You know what I said last night was true. I meant it Gaara. I'm your friend I wouldn't lie." I smiled genuinely at him and he looked back at me and I swear I saw the smallest smile appear.

"We're friends?" He asked like he was seriously confused.

I nodded eagerly and he nodded back.

"The winner of this match is Itami Takeshi." I flew back to the railing and looked down. Ruka was passed out and Takeshi was just about the faint as well.

"Dammit." I cursed as Temari and kankuro looked at me raising an eyebrow.

I grinned sheepishly then laughed. "Haha, anyway guys, I better head back to my team, later! Oh and good luck Temari chan, kitty chan!" I waved before running back to Gaara.

When no one was looking I hugged him and he tensed I shrugged then released him while smiling. "Good luck Gaara!" I waved before proofing away to my team.

The next fight began then so did many others.

Naruto beat Kiba. Neji beat Hinata. People beat people blah blah blah. I can't be bothered explaining.Gaara and lees fight was next and I wished them both luck. They began with Lee throwing punches and kicks but Gaara deflected them with his sand.  Lee began to use his forbidden jutsu and I gasped. "Lee no!" I cried but he didn't hear me.

I closed my eyes but then heard a scream. As I opened my eyes I saw that Gaara had Lee in his sand and his arm and leg were mangled.

"Oh dear god! Lee!" I ran down to the arena.

"Oh god Lee." I did my best with my medical jutsu I learned from Gou Sensei.

"Yuki?" Gaara looked over at me as a tear came down my cheek.

"Yeah?" I smiled while concentrating on healing Lees cuts. I couldn't do any more than that.

"Why? Why did you save him?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Because he is precious to me like you and everyone else." I replied as the medic took him away.

"Yuki. I'm not precious." He told me coldly. I shook my head again.

"You are, you just don't see it." I smiled then turned away as tears rolled down my face.

After the whole thing happened, we returned to the balconies after getting news that Lee was in the hospital.

I smiled over at Gaara  but he just stared at the arena. Silly Gaara chan. I tutted then I looked to see my match was next.

Torame Ari vs Hatashi Yuki.

Fighting one of Ryuua's teammate? This should be fun.

I grinned over at my friends then jumped over the railings and landing in a crouched position. I heard my mutter 'show off' and I rolled my eyes while standing up.

Ari stood in front of me as Hayate shouted for us to begin. I ran at her with my twin swords and blocked her swarm of senbons.

"Water style! Art of the poison rain!"She created hand signs as a rain of poison water came towards me. I jumped back but got caught on my arm. I seethed in pain while I bandaged the wound.

Shit! I need to end this before the poison spreads too far.

I created hand signs for my transformation technique. I turned into half cat and and then launched myself at Ari who blocked my attack. I swung me leg round and caught her face with it sending her flying to the wall.

"Water style! Water dragon jutsu!" She cried as a huge water dragon came towards me. I dodged and ran towards Ari again. This time I swiped her with my claws before I jumped back but fell to the floor.

The poison had spread all the way though my arm and was now making its way to my chest. If it reached my heart, I'd die.

"Yuki! You have to forfeit! Your going to die if you don't!" Ryuua shouted and everyone looked at me worriedly, even Gaara.

"I'm fine! I'm not losing this fight!" I called back while getting to my feet.

I created hand signs for my last jutsu. God I hope this works. I prayed while shouting out the justu. "Secret technique! Lightning tiger eliminate!" I shouted and a huge pure lightning tiger appeared while roaring at Ari. The bolts of lighting shot at her and she got thrown against the wall.

When she collided with the wall the impact knocked her out meaning I won.

"ARGHHHH!" I screamed making everyone call out to me. I screamed again but this time louder and more painful.

"YUKI!" Everyone shouted as I screamed again.

The medics were still tending to Ari and they weren't going to get me to a hospital in time. I fell to my knees while screaming.

I'm useless! I can't even handle the pain! Dammit Yuki Baka! I cursed as people rushed to come to my side they weren't going make it.

"Sorry, guys." I smiled as they shouted for me to get up.

I was about to fall back but someone picked me up in their arms and then disappeared only to reappear in the hospital.

"G-Gaara?" I looked to see him handing me to the nurse.

"Stay strong Yuki." He squeezed my hand before disappearing.

I smiled before letting sleep take over.

The prelims are over! Le cry, le cry.

In the next chapter I'm gonna say who won and stuff but yeah.
