Chapter 12

*Umi's POV*

"Guess who!"

"Found her at last!"

"Master Kisame will be happy about this"

"Let's finish this"

Then, they lunged.

I shot into an upright position breathing heavily as I replayed what happened last night.

How did they find me?

I sighed rubbing my head that was throbbing.

"Umi! Your awake!" I heard someone exclaim from my side of the bed.

I looked to see Kiba just waking up himself. Akamaru was still asleep on the dog bed on the floor.

"Kiba? How long were we here?" I asked.

"Well something happened last night and I stayed to make sure you were okay." He rubbed his neck and blushed a little. I smiled and shook my head.

"Thank you Kiba. I just guess your wondering what it was all about." I sighed and he nodded slowly.

I explained the whole story about me just moving from village to village until they find me then I move again.

"I guess they found me." I said quietly causing his eyes to widen.

"Your not thinking about leaving?!"

"Kiba, they found me, they will come back."

"And I will protect you! There is no way that they will get you again." He protested calmly and I just looked at him before smiling.

"Thank you Kiba. I just don't know what to do." I looked down.

"I think I might." He said. I looked at him confused before he sat on the bed and leaned forward.

My eyes widened as his lips pressed to mine. I slowly fell into the kiss smiling through it. It felt right, for the first time in a long time, I felt like I belonged here, with Yuki, Ryuua and.. Kiba.

We pulled away grinning. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a hug.

"So your gonna stay?" He asked hopefully.

"I'm not going anywhere." I smiled before kissing him again. His arms wrapped around my waist and mine around his neck.

"OMG KUMI IS A THING!" I heard someone squeal from the door. We broke apart and blushed furiously.

"Uh, well - we." We stuttered and Yuki laughed. Ryuua was grinning and wiggling her eyebrows.

"I best go. I'll see you later." He said. While Yuki and Ryuua were fan girling we kissed then he got up and left.

"Anyway, we can fan girl later. Umi how are you?" Ryuua asked walking over to the hospital bed and sitting down in the chair beside it. "I'm good." I replied.

Yuki followed. "Well we spoke to Gou Sensei and he says that you will be okay  to do the D rank mission tomorrow." Yuki explained and Ryuua sighed.

"D ranks are gonna be a drag." She sat back in the chair.

"Yeah. Now back to the topic at hand." Yuki smirked.

"Oh god." I muttered and Ryuua laughed.

"So when did this become a thing." She a desk still smirking.

"He saved me last night from those guys and well, this morning he, kissed me." I said blushing while smiling down at my hands.

"Awwwwww!" Hey cooed and I laughed at them.

Through out the day people visited to check on me. Ruka just came as they released me so we walked back to the house together.

"So, ready for tomorrow's mission?" He asked while linking his hands behind his head.

"Yeah, it's just a D ran so I can handle it." I smiled stretching my arms out in front of me. I still had my old bandages on and more from the cuts I got yesterday.

"Well, me and Gou Sensei'll protect Ya!" He grinned.

"What about Yuki?" I taunted.

"Of course Yuki too!" He defended and I laughed.

"I heard about you and Kiba." He smirked while I blushed slightly.

"Yeah, word travels fast."

"I'm happy for you two." He said kindly and I smiled softly at him.

Not too long after we reached the house where the guys were watching TV. Some others were there like Kiba, Shikamaru, Naruto, Ino, Lee and TenTen.

"Hey, your back." Ino smiled and the others waved in greeting.

"Yeah and hi guys." I waved and they smiled back. I sat down in the sofa next to Kiba and he draped his arm round my shoulder. The girls cooed and I rolled my eyes.

"Awwww! My first OTP!" Yuki clapped her hands. "Now for Ryuamaru!" She whispered to me and Kiba and we burst out laughing.

"Whattttt?" Ryuua raised and eyebrow and I shook my head.

"You guys are troublesome."Shikamaru sighed leaning into the sofa beside her.

"Anyway, you guys want ramen?" Yuki stood up and headed o the kitchen.

"Yeah, I'll help." Ino followed and we all told her what we wanted.

She nodded and turned back to the kitchen.

"Umi, Ryuua, TenTen. Kitchen now!" Ino shouted.

"Fine." I groaned getting up from Kiba's grasp.

"What is it?" TenTen asked while hoping onto the counter.

"Oh nothing..." Yuki sang and I raised an eyebrow.

"What!?!!" I heard Kiba yell from the next room.

"Yuki!" I warned and she held her hands up defensively.

"Whatttttt? They are only telling him to grow a pair." She said innocently. I cocked my head to the side.

"Hey, Umi, can you come here!" Naruto yelled.

"Yes, come forward with the power of youth!" Another voice said.

"Lee!" All the girls chorused before laughing and going to the other room.

"Yeah?" I asked standing with the other girls behind me.

"Uh- well, I, um." Kiba stuttered.

"Get on with it." Yuki urged. I'm guessing she knew what was gonna happen.

"Fine. Umi, will you go out with me?" He asked nervously stepping from foot to foot. I smiled so big I nearly broke my face.

"Yes, of course, dog boy!" I gave him a hug before kissing him lightly. The girls went into fan girl mode while the guys shook their heads at them.

"I'm glad." He whispered in my ear and I grinned as we all sat back down on the sofas.

"Argh! Ramen." Yuki and Ino said in unison while shooting up front the sofas. We shook our heads at them.

"I'm tired of these D rank missions!" Yuki whined as me, her and Ruka headed to meet Gou Sensei.

"You sound like Naruto." I giggled. It was Friday now and all week we had been doing D rank missions. They just consisted of walking dogs, doing old lady's shopping and weeding gardens.

"Hey, Gou Sensei! What's our mission today?" Yuki asked running up to our Sensei.

"We're off to ask the hokage now." He said while leading us towards his office.

Once we got there we saw that Ryuua's team, Kiba, Shikamaru and Choji were there.

"Now, this is a big mission. I have asked team 12 and 11 to do this and then three other genin. The rest of your team are on other missions correct?" The three nodded. "Now I'll explain the mission.

While the hokage was explaining Kiba came over and wrapped an arm round my shoulder. I rested my head on his shoulder and the hokage continued.

"So this is an important mission. You need to escort 2 princes to the land of fire. It's pretty simple but it is also dangerous. The mission will last around 5 days so you can meet at the gates in 20 minutes, so you have time to pack." The hokage finished and we all went to pack our things.

"Ready?" Gou Sensei asked as we met up with Tomonae Sensei's team and the others.

"Yeah." We all responded as we arrived at the gates.

"Well well, I'm gonna enjoy this journey." One of the princes smirked and the other nodded,  eyeing me, Ryuua and Yuki up and down.

"This is gonna be a long mission." I whispered under my breath.

Finally! I have my first couple!

Kumi has been made! Hope you agree with the couple :)

Anyway it's my first chapter with only one POV and I hope you liked it as Umi!

Anyway these princes are interesting haha!
