“I’m done with this guy seriously"

Taehyung complained to his co-worker Jay about a particular customer who has been bothering him lately.

“he gives us good company Tae, I don’t know why you see him annoying?”

“no. he always teases me. I don’t like that” And he crossed his arms and sighed.

“anyways, your fan will be here by now. enjoy your day” Jay chuckled seeing Taehyung’s sulky face.

Then the door opened revealing Taehyung’s most favorite(annoying) person.

“Hello, Hoseok here.”He said cheerfully and did their usual hi-fi with Jay. Then Jay went to do his work.

“here comes a clown” Taehyung mumbled and rolled his eyes.

“Hi TaeTae, I’m gonna read an interesting book today,” Hoseok said and took a random book.

“here we go again”

Hoseok shrugged off and sat on his regular seat which is beside Taehyung’s desk.

“I’ve never seen you read that anyway” Taehyung said annoyed.

It’s a chemistry book about nanomaterials and stuff. Taehyung wonders why he reads a book that makes no sense to him.

“I, I’ma do whatever I want”

“Seriously, I’m so done” Taehyung gritted his teeth and sat on the desk.

“thank you” Then he glanced at Taehyung.

Taehyung regretted making Hoseok his friend now. Hoseok visited the café at night after his work every day after that incident and became a regular customer.

He would visit, pretend to read a book, sit beside Taehyung staring at him, talk with the workers, give flowers to Taehyung and go home late at night.

Hoseok and Jimin text each other and share funny pictures daily. So, Taehyung mentally added Hoseok to his human interaction list.

Meanwhile,Hoseok wanted to see the other. visiting him in his workplace is probably the only way he had. The café is not too far and he couldn’t resist and meet him every day.

Taehyung’s co-workers would tease him for receiving flowers. they all liked Hoseok’s company as he is cheerful.

Taehyung can’t say that he totally hates Hoseok. Only the mischievous side of Hoseok annoys him. Other than that, he thought Hoseok is a good friend (A/n: for now)

“TaeTae” Hoseok called the other.

Taehyung hummed and looked at the older.

He is holding a flower but was surprised by that cause it’s not a real flower this time. It’s a plastic sunflower.

“here have this” Hoseok placed the fake flower on the desk as the others won’t accept it anyway.

“I won’t take it anyway. Why would you even try when I said we are friends?” Taehyung replied glaring at the older.

“exactly, you only said we are friends, not me.”

“we shook hands and showed thumbs up. That means you agreed right.”

“no” Hoseok shook his head and continued,

“I only showed thumbs up and didn’t utter any word. So, yours is a one-sided friendship”

Taehyung looked in disbelief.

“What the hell is one-sided friendship?”

“It is defined as the friendship that’s not reciprocated or rejected by the other and remains one-sided. And I rejected your friend request. You are my idol.”

Hoseok completed the sentence with a wink. Taehyung hit his thigh with a fist and tried to maintain his temper.

He couldn’t blame or curse the other. he felt it would be too much as Hoseok didn’t act creepy And just crushing on him.

he couldn’t swear when he sees the sad face of Hoseok and was also afraid of hurting people who wishes good for him.

“leave it, why give this flower?”

“it’s a special day, I wanted to give you a real one but it’s not the season for it”

“special day?”

“yes, today is my birthday.” He said flashing his heart smile.

“oh”

“you didn’t wish me though” Hoseok slightly pouted.

Taehyung sighed for the nth time and wished him a happy birthday.

“thank you. You know my friends always say sunflowers remind them of me. I don’t know but I kinda liked it. I give it to you so you would remember me when you see this”

The younger zoned out and didn’t hear fully what Hoseok said.

Hoseok called him twice and sighed. “I know you didn’t listen to me.”

Taehyung snapped out of the thoughts and nodded after Hoseok finished talking.

“fine, I have practice tomorrow morning. I’m going home to rest. Bye” He said and waited for the answer.

“ok bye” Taehyung waved at him.

“as expected” Hoseok scoffed and took his bag. He winked and left.

“I can’t with him” Then he stared at the wall and zoned out.

After a few hours, Taehyung cleaned his desk and saw the fake flower placed near some files.

He thought for some time and stuffed that flower in his bag. Usually, He would give the flowers to his colleagues or place them in a café vase. It’s his first time taking it.

Next day morning,

Jimin constantly knocked on his friend’s door (mostly banging).

“Tae open the door. It’s important” He continued to knock until he heard a loud groan.

Taehyung opened the door annoyed.

“what the fuck is wrong with you?”

“Tae, see this. This is very important” And he showed his phone to him.

It was just a picture of Hoseok with some friends.

Taehyung smacked the other’s head and turned to return to his room.

“yaah you dumbass, how dare you hit me?”

“you disturbed my precious sleep to see some stupid photos” He yelled at Jimin.

“This is indeed important to me”

“whatever”

Then Jimin smiled slightly and pointed to something on phone.

“This guy looks so hot Tae, what do you think?”

Taehyung regretted having dumb friends around him.

He clenched his fist, “if you disturb me another time, I’ll never hesitate to kill you stupid chim”

“see this, I think I have a crush on him”

Taehyung eyes widened and blinked a few times to see properly.

“you too, I think it’s time for me to evacuate from this country. I can’t live with these crushing people.” Taehyung exclaimed and went to his room.

Jimin laughed and followed him.

“Tae, you see this guy. He looks so handsome. I wanna talk to him, help me please” Then he showed his wide glossy eyes to the other.

Taehyung looked away, “I won’t help”

Jimin pouted and shook his friend's shoulder continuously annoying him more.

Taehyung pushed the other.

“fine, what do you want?”

Jimin grinned and hugged him from the side.

Then he zoomed the picture and showed a guy.

“so this guy is Namjoon and I wanna know about him. can you please ask about him to Hoseok?”

“you can do it yourself. Why me?”

“If I ask him, he’ll ramble everything to his friends and it would be awkward. So you talk to him like knowing each other. And collect info about him.”

“no, never. Talking drains my energy. That too, talking with Hoseok, he’ll stick to me more”

“please” He chanted repeatedly until the others get convinced.

“Okay, I’ll talk to him”

“thank you so much”

Jimin smiled which made his eyes look like a crescent moon.

“you are the best one”

“hmm leave now. I wanna sleep”

“ok peace dreams” Jimin said and ran to his room.

“I can’t with these guys”

He lay on his bed and closed his eyes.

Taehyung entered the cafe and saw Hoseok already sitting there eating snacks.

The younger placed his things and checked the register.

He felt some eyes on him and turned his head to the left to see Hoseok eating and glancing at him.

For some reason, he couldn’t take his eyes off the older. He looked adorable while munching the chocolate. His dimples popped out when he chewed the snack. he looked tiny in that sweater and his bangs added more cuteness.

Taehyung realized he stared for a minute and looked away.

“is something on my face?” Hoseok asked touching his face.

“no – nothing.” He looked down and played with his fingers.

Then he looked at Hoseok again,

“eating chocolate at night is not good. Don’t you know that?”

Hoseok sassed and played a song from Spotify.

He would play songs instead of talking often as he finds it interesting.

“Alright I won’t say anything”

Hoseok chuckled and finished snacking.

“aren’t you bored?” Hoseok asked resting his face on the book facing the other.

“it is”

“let’s talk about something”

Then Taehyung remembered about Jimin asked him earlier.

“Uhm… tell me about your friends. I haven’t heard about them.”

Hoseok sat up straight and continued, “about them, I have 3 close friends and they are so weird and caring. That’s it”

Taehyung didn’t expect he would just finish it in a sentence. “uh, not that. like their names, work, and basic stuff.”

“oh so you want to meet them right”

“no”

“YES”

“n- no leave it.”

“I won’t. you gave me a good idea. How about we meet at weekend. It’ll be fun. I didn’t think about that.”

“I can’t”

“I decided, you only started. We are meeting. They asked me to show you once in person. I’ll ask them in group chat.”

“no need Hoseok hyung, I’ll be busy this week” He is lying.

“oh, I’ll ask Jimin then”

“shit” Taehyung muttered under his breath.

If he asks Jimin, he’ll accept it and drag him to the meet-up.

“Jimin accepted. He said you’ll accompany him.”

--- that tiny chicken betrayed me --- Taehyung mentally cursed his friend.

And Hoseok texted his group chat.

Hoseok ended the group chat and looked at Taehyung who looked so furious.

"Don't be mad Tae, they won't disturb you. You can make some friends."

Taehyung is not mad because of the sleepover. He is mad cause Jimin exposed him to Hoseok that he is always free on weekends.

"It's nothing hyung"

"Okay, we'll meet on Saturday then"

...

"We will meet"Hoseok took Taehyung's hand and did a hi-fi.

Then the older took his bag.

"Okay, Bye Taehyung... Have a nice night"

He said and left.

"I'm doomed"Taehyung thought.
