The next day, Hoseok and Namjoon were standing outside the label to give the wallet to Jungkook. “Joonie, you go and ask the receptionist. Then, give this to Jungkook” “why don’t you come?” “no, you go” Namjoon nodded and stood at the pedestrian crossing. But before Namjoon could cross the road, Hoseok stopped him and they stepped backward. “What is this Hoseok?” “shut up and see there”Hoseok pointed at a couple walking happily holding hands. They entered inside that building. It’s Aecha and Jungkook. “they are just couples, what’s special in that?” “aah, Namjoon ah. He is Jungkook, Taehyung’s boyfriend” Namjoon eyes widened and stared at him. Hoseok continued, “even though they are close friends, that doesn’t look like a best friend thing. Wait, Did that Aecha succeed in her plan?” Hoseok stared at them in disbelief.“what plan?” “that – leave it Namjoon, I’ll just ask my friend about this” “you still have contact with them?” “only one, she is my friend for a long time” With that, hoseok contacted Haewon (a fellow worker of Aecha and friend of Hoseok).

On the call: Hoseok: hello haewon! Haewon: yeah Hoseok, it’s been a long time talking with you. Hoseok: ah yes and I wanna ask you something. Haewon: yea. Hoseok: I – I saw Aecha and Jungkook now. is there anything between them? I came here to return something to Jungkook but it didn’t seem like the right time. Haewon: I don’t know about that but Aecha and that trainee have become closer now. they hang out together and Aecha often buys gifts for that boy. I always see him with her. Hoseok: oh, but you know Jungkook already has a boyfriend right. (She is one of the important staff in that department, so she knew about the relationship) Haewon: and another thing, I heard Jungkook broke up with his boyfriend. Aecha said this yesterday. Hoseok: what? (he was so shocked) Haewon: hmm. she said she consoled him. Hoseok: ok Haewon, thank you for informing I’ll see you another time. Bye Haewon: wait, you said you wanted to return something. Hoseok: uhmm, no use in giving this now. Haewon: ok bye and don’t forget you should treat me to dinner if we meet. Hoseok: sure. The call ended.

Hoseok stared at the building. He couldn’t believe Jungkook would be head over heels for that girl. He is disappointed in him. he realized how Jungkook missed a gem and cherished a pebble.

“he should have listened to me. you are gonna regret in future for not listening.”

Hoseok smiled slightly and started to walk. “what happened?” Namjoon asked him. “it’s nothing Joon, let’s go” “what about this?” He pointed at the wallet. “no use of that Joon, let’s go. I’ll give this to him myself.” “why? What happened?” “Jungkook broke up with Taehyung. How can I give this to him?” Namjoon was shocked after hearing that. “That was unexpected”

“yes, let’s leave it as it is. And I’ll keep this with me”

“as Jin hyung said you’re gonna keep it with yourself”

“uhmm… yeah. Let’s say he gifted me this”

“But when?” “when he bumped onto me yesterday “ “that’s not- “ “it’s alright, he gifted me this yesterday. I’ll give this to him when I see him again”

Hoseok interrupted Namjoon and walked away. “I wonder what his brain made up of?” Namjoon thought. “HOSEOK AH WAIT” With that, they both left the place.

Meanwhile, 95ers searched the place where Taehyung missed the wallet. “I couldn’t find anything we should’ve come yesterday” Taehyung said after a long sigh. “leave it Tae, it’s time to buy a new one” “ok, but what if someone gives it to the cops?” Jimin chuckled at the other’s question.

“what’s so funny?” “I swear no one would take that to cops because it doesn’t have money. Either they spent all the coupons or some street dogs would damage that” “you are so mean” “I’m just saying the truth” Jimin pouted. “ok, let’s go. I’m hungry” Then Taehyung pointed at a restaurant. “ok” After having a good lunch, they walked to the bus stop. then Taehyung saw a car that passed by and his expression changed. He saw Jungkook and his girlfriend giggling in that car. He just stared at the way the car went. “he is happy though, but I can’t” Taehyung mumbled and he zoned out at the place. Jimin slightly shook the other’s shoulder and spoke,

“Tae Tae wake up, don’t sleep with your eyes open.”

“How dare you say that?” Taehyung punched playfully.

Jimin held the place where he hit and said not to beat him. Then the bus came. After taking a seat, he starred in the label’s direction. Though he is trying hard to forget, it keeps on reminding him. They both sat together on the bus. After a few minutes, Taehyung asked his friend, “Jimin ah” “hmm” “shall we go to Daegu this holiday?” “ ok, it’s been a year. We should go”

“yes, also I can distract myself there. This place keeps reminding him”

“sure, our holidays have started. I’ll book the tickets tomorrow.”

“hmm”

“Taehyung”

“yes”

“is it hard to move on?”

Taehyung looked at Jimin who is looking at him sincerely. Yes, it will be hard cause it is his first love and first heartbreak. Taehyung is trying his best to remove Jungkook from his heart. He looked at his friend with glossy eyes, “yes, it’s hard but I’ll move on like I always did”

“ok but don't pressure yourself” Jimin said with a small smile.

Taehyung nodded and looked out the window. He is happy that he always has his friend to lean on.

“yaaah, Hobi ah. What is this?” Jin shouted from the living room. Hoseok came out of the room on the moonwalk and stood in front of Jin. “yes hyung, what did I do?”

“I said you to clean the living room. Why didn’t you do it?” “I went out with Namjoon. I’ll do it tomorrow” “then go buy the groceries for dinner. Joon’s mother is visiting us today. We should make barbeque” “what?” Hoseok stared in disbelief because Yoongi is the one who wants to buy today. “today is Yoongi hyung’s turn. Ask him” Then Hoseok walked to his room. But Jin turned him and gave him the grocery bags.

“go and buy, Yoongi said he is resting after his tiring work.” Then Jin went to the kitchen to get cola. “but he took 2 days leave. I’ll go with him”

“Whatever, I want groceries. That’s it” “fine” Hoseok marched to Yoongi’s room and knocked on the door. After knocking for a minute, the door opened with messy hair squinty eyes Yoongi.

“what Hoba?” “come with me, let’s buy groceries” “I only got sleep now after the tough work, you can go by yourself” Then he proceeded to close the door but Hoseok stopped it with his foot and pulled the older one out. Yoongi hissed and yanked his hand, “I’m not coming” “hyung I know you are taking rest for 2 days. Don’t fool me. just accompany me, I can’t carry all the bags.” Yoongi rubbed his eyes and sighed in defeat. His plan of skipping the work failed. “ok, I’m coming. Wait a minute. I can’t sleep in peace in this house.” “you continue after buying groceries” Yoongi huffed and shut the door to change. “don’t take too long.” Then Hoseok and Yoongi went to the nearby grocery shop. It’s a 10-minute walk. They bought ingredients for barbeque meat, egg, soft drinks, and milk. Hoseok paid the bill. They went out and walked in comfortable silence. Suddenly Yoongi asked, “is something happening today? You look pissed off.” Hoseok looked surprised. Yoongi always read Hoseok’s face and his mood. “How can you even find out?”

“your expressions are always obvious Hoba.” Hoseok smiled and replied, “I just found that Jungkook broke up with Taehyung. I know Aecha will be one of the reasons. I wonder why she ruins someone’s life?” Yoongi listened to him. “she will learn her lesson soon Hoba. Don’t worry” “I know but I can’t believe Jungkook would fall for her. I thought he will be strong. She hurt many people” Hoseok kicked a pebble and looked at Yoongi. Yoongi agreed with him. “so you didn’t return that wallet right” “no hyung” “hmm” Another comfortable silence. Then Yoongi stopped and looked at Hoseok, “hoseok ah, do you like that Taehyung?” Hoseok is shocked and his eyes widen. “I – it’s not like that hyung. I’m- “ “I know you like that guy” Yoongi said with an evil grin. “no”

Hoseok shook his head. “I know. The way your eyes lit up when you talked about him showed it. I saw how you stared at the wallet all day. See now, you are exactly worrying about Taehyung, not Jungkook. I can see you have a huge crush on him. don’t worry. I won’t tell to anyone.” Yoongi chuckled at the younger. “no, I can’t totally deny it but I do have a tiny crush on him” Hoseok gestured tiny with his squinty eyes. “yes as tiny as the ocean” Yoongi scoffed and ran cause Hoseok chased him. Their loud giggles filled the streets and Hoseok caught Yoongi with his empty hand as the other carried a bag. after the chasing game, they reached home and placed the groceries on the table. “so hoseok what are you gonna do?”

“what?” “you said you have a crush” Hoseok rolled his eyes. Yoongi will never miss a chance to tease him from now.

“I don’t know anything about him. he is an introvert. No one knows much about Taehyung. I’m not willing to disturb him.

I believe I’ll meet him again like yesterday let’s see what happens. If we are meant to be together, it’ll happen for sure” Yoongi smiled and patted the other’s head. “you deserve everything you wish” Hoseok’s iconic heart smile was on display and he muttered thanks to his hyung.
