Chapter 42

23:22, 8 September 2018

"I love that house." I hummed nonchalantly as we passed a white brick mansion in the middle of the woods. You could only see it because it was so white, it was beautiful. My dream home of privacy.

"Really?" Harry busted a U-turn quickly.

He spoiled me. Way too much.

The proof? On the way to the wedding of my brother he pulled over and called the realtor of the house on the hill for me.

"Said key's under the rock." Harry hung up and I stared up at the white brick mansion with the lanterns I admired. I held onto Harry's hand as we walked into the house. Gold and white contemporary. Natural lighting.

"God. I love this house." I mentioned as I looked at where we stood in the doorway. Double staircases on the far side of the room that left an entryway to the other side of the house which was the living room. To the right of the entryway was the dining room that flowed into the kitchen via big arch door. To the left? An office.

"Babe I love this so much." I lead him up the stairs and wrapped his arm around me as we got to the black tiled floor white the white painted halls.

"What would you change?" He pecked my neck and I giggled as he held me close to him and pressed another peck to my lips.

"Honestly?"

"Honestly." He nodded and I sighed, tilting my head as I leaned my head into his shoulder and looked up on me. His arms were around my waist and my hands rested on his.

"I would change the floor to wood. It would make it better for me, I like the tile but I know I wouldn't be able to fall in love with it."

"Which wood?"

"A light wood color. For sure. It'll really bring light to the place. Most likely a driftwood. The doors? I would paint them a grey color to make it seem lighter than it actually is."

"There's literally 9 bedrooms in this house. Which one would be ours?" He asked and pressed a kiss to my temple.

"Theoretically?" I tilted my head and thought about it.

"The one on the end of that hall." I pointed to the hall across. It was the only door that was on the actual end of the hall, it wasn't on the right or left hand side because it was straight ahead.

"Let's check it out." He tapped my side and we walked through the 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms before stumbling into "our" room. I was in love with this house. It felt like home even though it was nice to dream that we, as teenagers, could afford such a luxury.

"What do you think?"

"I would definitely change the carpet. It would stain too easy. Wood in here too but like dark wood. The bathroom I would keep it. I love the closet here, only thing I would change is I don't like it in the bathroom. I would actually kinda like it moved out here." I pointed to the wall by the bathroom and Harry nodded slowly.

"I want to see the kitchen. Come on." I pulled him down the stairs and gasped at the size of the kitchen and the backyard. The backyard was the woods and I loved it.

The kitchen lead into the living room that made me grimace when I saw the curtains in the living room.

"What?"

"I fucking hate those curtains. It made my soul hurt. If hatred was a thing, it would be those curtains. They're atrocious. I hate them. Ew." I shivered and shook my head in disgust. They were an ugly green color which offset the entire luxury look of this house.

"And if I want to keep them?"

"I'll bitch everyday about them. I fucking hate them Harold."

"Okay, so other than the curtains, the house?" He grabbed my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I love this house baby. It feels like home. Someday." "I'm going to buy you this house. We'll bring home our children to this house, they'll fill those rooms upstairs. We'll sleep in that room up there. You'll cook us dinner in that kitchen. Our life is going to be in this house."

"Baby this house is literally a billion dollars."

"It's only 5 million, chill." He rolled his eyes and I laughed.

"Only?"

"My love for you does not have a price. I'm going to buy you this house babe. I fucking swear it. You can decorate it the way you want." "I don't even have any idea of furniture. It's completely bare." I laughed and motioned to the empty, undecorated house with plenty of potential.

"And? Let's go. We'll find a furniture store. I want to see how you would decorate our house. Derek doesn't get married until tomorrow anyways. We'll be a little late and take a detour." He shrugged and I looked up at him with a lopsided grin.

"I love you. Like truly love you."

"I love you too. I never told you but when you got sick my heart stopped everytime yours did. I died with you, literally. I love you so much, dweeb, that my heart stops when yours does." He said and I widened my eyes.

"You died nine times?" "Yeah, we're like cats. This is our last life. Don't go dying on me now babe." He laughed and pressed his lips to mine and my heart fluttered.

"Of course I won't. I promise. I actually swear. Only if you don't die on me."

"I won't. I have every intention of living a full life with you. We'll move into this house together and do the entire reno together. Build it and everything." God, Harry. I wanted that. I did. I fucking dreamt of doing the entire 9 yards with you but the devil has other plans.

"You better not let some other bitch in my house. I will legit chop your balls off." I joked and he smiled. "The thought of another woman makes me want to chop my own off."

"Good."
