Js: enough! I don't care about some backstory!

Esmé: well they asked, not me. Happy?

Violet: yes.. thank you.

Klaus: we still don't know what is in the sugarbowl, violet.

Js: this trial is not about an object stolen in the past, breakups, and a murder!

Olaf: I mean it kinda is.

Js: everyone quiet! Sit down!

Olaf sat back on his couch, the Baudelaires sat next to isabelle and Esmé sat down next to Carmelita.

Js: now, count olaf, how do you plead?

Olaf: I'm innocent.

Js: very well th-

Olaf: I'm so incredibly innocent that the word innocent should be written on my face- the I would stand for, 'I'm innocent' the n would stand for 'nothing wrong' which is what I've done, the a would stand for-

Klaus: that's not how you spell innocent!

Olaf: I'm sure spelling doesn't count.

Js: spelling counts.

Olaf: ughh well then innocent should be spelled O.L.A.F. Beatrice that is how I plead.

Js: okay, my fellow judges on the high court will now reach a verdict.

The Baudelaires looked up.They could see two shadowy figures standing 6 stories up on a balcony.

Violet: why are they so high up?

Js: the high court rule is to interpret thier title literally.

Js: everyone please put your blindfolds on.

They did as she instructed.

The Baudelaires heard the muffled voice of Justice Strauss trying to say something.

Violet: Justice Strauss?

"Justice Strauss is fine. She made that muffled noise because she is enjoying some delicious tea."

The Baudelaires recognized the voice.

Klaus: I know that voice.

Violet: take off your blindfold!

"If you take off your blindfolds you will be arrested."

Klaus: maybe we should risk being arrested.

Sunny took off her blindfold.

Sunny: peek!

The Baudelaires did the same and saw Olaf with his hand over Justice Strauss's mouth. He was holding the harpoon gun in his other hand and pointing it at her. They were standing at the elevator.

"The Baudelaires have taken off thier blindfolds!"

The voice was of the Woman with hair but no beard. Count olaf's adoptive mother.

Isabelle took off her blindfold and immediately ran to Olaf and took the book from Justice Strauss's arms. It was the book Mr. Poe had, titled Odious Lusting After Fortunes.

The elevator doors opened and the three of them went inside. The Baudelaires all ran to the elevator and klaus held the doors open.

Olaf: going down?

Klaus: we're going wherever you are.

The Baudelaires walked into the elevator and klaus let the doors close and the elevator went down.

Olaf: first I am going downstairs to retrieve the Sugarbowl, then back up to the very top to get the Medosoid Mycelium, then I am going to the lobby to poison everyone, and lastly I am going to the very top to escape the authorities. Lots of ups and downs, but hey- so is life!

Violet: you found the Medosoid Mycelium?

Olaf: yes. I found it in a diving helmet. You brats are lucky you didn't die.

The elevator stopped. The doors opened and Olaf led them all to the end of the hallway.

Olaf: some pesky volunteer put a VFD lock on the door. I stole a code from that waiter, before I boiled him alive, there are three questions and then the door will open. I know the first one.

Olaf started to type a word in.

Olaf: I'm sure spelling doesn't count.

Klaus: give me the word and I'll type it in.

Violet: klaus what are you doing?

Klaus: just trust me.

Olaf: the first question is what weapon made me an orphan.

Klaus looked at him confused.

Olaf: from that night at the opera?

Klaus: ...poison dart.

Olaf: type it in!

Klaus typed in poison dart and looked at olaf to give him the next question.

Olaf: what allergy do all three Baudelaires and Beatrice share?

Violet: peppermint.

Olaf: I knew that! I remember this one time-

Violet: we don't have time for your stories!

Violet: what is the last question?

Olaf: the code phrase for if someone asks you if your mother has been good to you.

Isa: I know this!

She opened the door.

Olaf walked in after her and looked around.

Olaf: where is the sugarbowl?

Klaus: the sugarbowl isn't in the laundry room.

Olaf: then where is it?

Klaus: that secret died with Dewey Denouement.

Olaf: you orphans wasted my time! Now I can't poison everyone.

Sunny: burn down hotel.

Olaf: what did the babylaire say?

Violet: she said.. burn down hotel.

Olaf: yes! The littlest orphan is following in my footsteps!

Klaus: she doesn't know what she is saying.

Sunny: burn down the hotel.

Olaf: that's actually a great idea.

He took a lighter out of his pocket.

Js: you'll never get away with this!

Olaf took the book out of isabelle's hands.

Olaf: I already have.

He set the book on fire.

Olaf: alright everyone, let's go to the roof.

Violet: I'll help get the Carmelita off the roof.

Js: violet no!

Violet: no one is safe as long as he is here.

Violet pulled a curtain down from a tent used for shade on the roof.

Violet: I'll use this as a drag chute as the boat falls into the ocean, help me tie it onto the boat.

Olaf: I'll just sit here and supervise.

Violet: no, you'll push the boat off the hotel or we'll all die!

Isabelle, klaus, sunny, and violet tied the curtain onto the boat, and they climbed inside.

Olaf cut open a beach ball this violet had been before. The familiar diving helmet was inside and olaf put it and his harpoon gun in the boat.

He started to push the boat over to the edge.

Js: no children, get out, we need to put him in jail, come live with me!

Violet: we can't. I'm sorry.

Js: but I've followed you for so long with the help of so many noble people, I've been everywhere you have, let me be your guardian!

Olaf: they already have one.

He jumped on the boat.

Olaf: and I say shiver me timbers!

The boat fell off the edge of the hotel. The drag chute worked and the boat floated like a balloon to the surface of the ocean.

They all watched as The Hotel Denumont faded into flames and smoke.

Isa: the last safe place isn't safe anymore.
