Violet: at least I still have the knife.

The Baudelaires and Quagmires went into he middle of town, and the man was at a podium.

Man: I have news, Count Olaf won't be burned at the stake.

Violet: oh thank god...

Man: because he was murdered..

Olaf walked up the man.

Olaf: it was the Baudelaires!

He pointed to the children.

Man: why would you accuse children of such a thing?

Olaf: because I have a witness.

Olaf turned and they saw isabelle walk up to him. She looked nervous.

Olaf: tell them, girl olaf.

She glared at him.

Isa: they were in the jail.

Olaf: speak louder! So everyone can hear!

Isa: I saw them in the jail. They murdered him.

Man: do you have proof?

Isa: they have a knife.

Violet slowly took out the knife.

Klaus: it's not true..

Violet: I was given it, it wasn't used to murder anyone!

Olaf patted Isabelle's head.

Olaf: the Baudelaires are running away!

Olaf took isabelle's hand so she wouldn't run after them.

Violet: I'm not sure we should go to that hotel anymore..

Klaus: we have to..

Klaus looked and saw a van, with the letters VFD on it.

Violet: maybe we should escape and get into that van.

Klaus: we cant just get into a stranger's van!

Violet: what choice do we have!

Klaus and violet knocked on the door of the van.
