Chapter 16

Perrie's POV

Today we start our work on my third album. The management said that they plan to release it in few months time, and we need to finish the writing and recording as soon as possible, so we could have enough time for promotion. We just finished the meeting with the producers and we talked about what will be the concept of the album, what will be the contents, the name and some other stuff. I'm really excited for this album to be honest. I've done two albums before, but I have a different feeling for this one. It's like this album will be my biggest success so far, and I really hope for that. I also wanted for this album to be different from the first two. I want it to be more...me, like all my feelings and thoughts to be expressed in this album through the songs. It's my album after all.

I am now at the studio in HQ with Jesy, flopped down on the couch, song book and a pen on hand. I'm trying to write something but at the moment my mind is...blank. I don't know why, I just said I'm excited for this album, yet I can't even write down a word. I have the motivation but I guess I lack inspiration. It's like I don't know where to start. There's so much going on right now and my mind seems to be everywhere. I grunted in frustration as it's been an hour since we got here and still I've got nothing. Jesy must have noticed as she sat on the couch next to me.

"Hey, are you alright?" she asked, concern evident in her eyes.

"It's just.. ugh! I don't know Jes. I've got nothing." I whined, hands pulling my hair out.

"Don't force yourself Pez. It'll come." she cooed at me.

"With everything that is happening, the pressure and all, my mind is a mess right now." I said, still frustrated.

"You know what? Let's take a break. Maybe you just need some food in your system. It's lunch time anyway." she suggested, knowing that food will cheer me up.

"I guess you're right. You know me too well!" I smiled at her and placed my song book on the coffee table.

We stood up and made our way to the pantry, Jes carrying the paper bag with our food. We settled down on a small dining table and she laid out our lunch. We talked about random things while we eat, she even informed me that the latest sightings of Jade and I have broken the internet again, which didn't surprise me anymore. Every time I visit my Twitter or Instagram, all I see is Jade and I together. Which made me realized what Jade said to me before, 'You'll get used to it' and she's right, I'm getting used to it by now. After we're done with our lunch, Jesy picked up the used items and threw them to the trash bin. Then I remembered something that I've been wanting to ask her.

"Jesy, can I ask you something?"

"Sure babe, shoot!" she replied as she sits down her chair.

"The night we went out clubbing, how did I got home?" I asked her.

"You don't remember, do you?" she said with a smirk.

"No, I don't remember a damn thing!" I exclaimed and then she laughs at me.

"Oh well, I'm a bit drunk myself. But you girl, you're wasted!" she can't stop laughing now.

"Can you just answer my question?" I snapped at her.

"I'm sorry. It's Jade." she stated as her laugh die down.

"What?" I looked at her in disbelief.

"It's Jade. She stayed sober that night since she have to drive you home. So yeah, Jade brought you back to your flat." she explained.

"Oh.." is all I could say. Oh my God!  

"Why did you got drunk that much Pez?" it's now her turn to question me.

"I don't know. I just... felt like it." I frown as I recall what happened that night before my mind went black.

"Are you sure?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Yes, I'm sure Jessica! And where were you?! Did you just leave me there with Jade?" I scowled at her. Jeez, she should be the one taking care of me!

"I told you, I was a little drunk too. Besides, Jade did a great job taking care of you, didn't she?" she wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"You're unbelievable!" I stood up and walked out. I still can hear her laughing her ass off. I love you Jesy, but sometimes you're a pain in the ass!

It's late afternoon now and I'm glad I finally made myself to write down something. It's not much though, just a bunch of sentences and phrases that popped out of my head. I still have to put them together to produce proper lyrics. I was in the middle of my writing when my phone started buzzing. I picked it up without even looking at the caller ID and answered.

"Hello?" I said, still preoccupied with my writing.

"Hey Perrie! It's me." I froze. That voice!

"H-heey! Hi... Hi, Jade." she caught me off guard and I stuttered.

"Is it a bad time to call? I could just call later if you-"

"No! No, it's alright." I cut her off. 

"Are you sure? I'm sorry I didn't messaged you before I called." she said apologetically.

"Yes Jade, I'm sure. And it's okay, really." I assured her.

"Okay." she sighed and I smiled. She's so cute! 

"So... why'd you call?" I asked her.

"Oh that... well I- uhm.. I got these... uh- you know, this... thing.." she stammered. I raised my eye brows in amusement. Is she nervous or something?

"Jade, just say it." I said wanting her to just get straight to the point.

"Do you like Disney?" she asked out of no where. Woah! I did not saw that coming.

"Are you kidding me? I love Disney!!" I said that with a little exaggeration because... duh? Disney is life! 

"You do? Really?" she asked, she seemed relieved.

"Yeah Jade, I love Disney. So much!" I replied.

"I love Disney too! Oh my God!" she chuckled and that made me laugh.

"Wow! I didn't know that about you." new Jade-fact acquired!

"Well, now you know!" and we're both laughing now.

"Anyway, why did you asked?" I'm getting curious as to why she have to ask.

"Well, I uh.. I have tickets for this new Disney movie. And I wan-"

"Are that for Beauty and the Beast??" I cut her off again. What? Anything Disney always got me excited!

"Uhm, yes. And I was thinking, maybe we could.. you know, watch it together?" Oh boy! She's doing it again.

"Are you serious?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Yes, I am serious." and by the tone of her voice, I know she really is serious.

"Oh.." that's all I could say. Dammit!

"So, Perrie. Would you like to watch a movie with me?" That's it, she's done it again! I just melted into a puddle, right here, on the couch.

"I- uh.." I'm speechless. Did she just asked me out on a movie date? Oh my G- Wait... is it a date?

"Perrie?" she asked after a moment of silence.

"I would love to, Jade." I answered her. Jeez! She's so freaking sweet!

"Yeah? Are you free tomorrow night?" and I know she's smiling, I can hear it in her voice.

"Yes, I think I'm free." I replied, reminding myself to ask Jesy later.

"Good. I'll pick you up at seven. No need to dress up, just wear something comfy." she told me.

"Okay, see you tomorrow." I said.

"Bye Perrie."

"Bye Jade."

And then we hang up. Man! That was something! If anyone could see me right now, they would think I'm a freak, smiling at nothing from ear to ear. I'm going to watch a movie with Jade! Not to mention that it's a freaking Disney! Oh my God! Stop acting like a teenager Perrie! I scolded myself. But I don't fucking care, I can't stop smiling.
