Chapter 14

Perrie's POV

I woke up with a banging headache. Like I said before... Hangover is a bitch! I don't remember how I got home, I must be pretty wasted to not even change my clothes. I'm still too tired yet I was forced to get up because of the door bell ringing and it won't stop. I quickly did my morning rituals and went to the front door. As I opened the door, I was faced by a middle aged man carrying a bouquet of red and champagne roses, and a paper bag on his other hand.

"Good morning Miss Edwards, delivery for you." he greeted as he smiled brightly at me.

"Oh wow... thank you." is all I can say since I was confused as he handed me the items.

"Have a good day miss." he said and then walked away. He didn't even gave me something to sign on. That's weird.

I closed the door and went to the kitchen, put the items on the kitchen island and stared at it in confusion. My headache is still killing me and I'm finding it hard to concentrate. So I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to ease the pain. After a while, when I felt that my headache was already bearable, I opened my eyes and started to examine the items delivered to me. The paper bag contains medicine for headache, orange juice and a full breakfast. Wow! Just in time. I picked up the bouquet and admired it, it's so beautiful and I should remind myself to put it on a vase later. I took the small envelope attached at the bottom part of the bouquet and opened it.

Beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady.I'm assuming you have a terrible hangoversince you're quite wasted last night, so I just thoughtI'll send you medicine... And breakfast because I knowyou'll be too lazy to make yourself some.- Jade

Woah! Hold on... these are from Jade? That explains the weird delivery man! Now I remember him, he is Jade's driver. I saw him that day when we were swamped by the paparazzi outside the cafe, and he drove us to Jade's office. Anyway, Jade knew I was wasted. Does that mean she didn't got drunk last night? Man! I'm such a lightweight! Okay, enough with the thinking and start with the eating. I drank the medicine and the orange juice for my headache, and then dug in to my breakfast. I should thank Jade for this, she's so sweet and thoughtful to send me these stuff. After I finished my breakfast, which was delicious by the way, I fetch my phone and dialed Jade's number. Yes, we exchanged phone numbers last night. She answered on the third ring.

"Hello, good morning." she greeted in a serious tone.

"Hey, hi! It's me, Perrie." I said nervously.

"Oh.. hi Perrie!" she immediately changed her tone.

"Are you busy? Am I interrupting something?" I asked, I didn't want to bother her if she's at work.

"Well I'm actually in the middle of a meeting." she chuckled.

"Oh God! I'm sorry. I should've texted first. Should I just call later?" I rambling now. You're not thinking Perrie!

"Perrie, it's alright. You can call me anytime. In fact, call me whenever you want." she said sweetly.

"Are you sure? I don't want to disturb you or something." I said hesitant.

"Yes, I'm sure and you're not disturbing me. Never! I promise. Anyway, why'd you called?" she asked.

"Well, I uh.. I just want to say thanks for the flowers, they're lovely. And also for the medicine and the delicious breakfast."

"You're welcome. I knew you'd need that, after emptying your stomach last night." she snickered.

"What do you mean?" oh no! Don't tell me... did I?

"You know what I mean Perrie." she's laughing now.

"I threw up last night? Oh my God! That's embarrassing, I'm sorry.." I said as I face palmed myself.

"It's alright, we've all been there." she cooed at me, although I can hear her trying to stifle her laugh.

"Did I threw up on you? Please tell me I didn't threw up on you." Jeez Perrie! You're a shame!

"No, you didn't. Luckily, I backed away before you did." she laugh again.

"Oh thank God! That would have been really embarrassing." I sighed in relief.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, you're drunk, it's normal." she cooed again. "Anyway, I'm glad you liked what I sent you. I should have delivered them myself, but I have this meeting, so..." she continued.

"Oh right! You're on a meeting. Gosh! I won't keep you any longer. Thanks again Jade." I said.

"Anything for you, Perrie." Oh my...

"Bye Jade."

"Bye Perrie."

~~~
Jesy called me to tell me that we don't have work today. She also said that if I need anything, I should just call her. So today is just a lazy day, I sat in the couch, cooking show on the TV, while scrolling on Instagram. Pictures of Jade and I from last night were all over the internet. The press were feasting on this new sightings of us together. They must be so elated that we are not trying to hide ourselves dating even though no one has confirmed it yet. If they only knew. I have also posted a picture of the flowers Jade sent me with a caption copying the words from her note.
perrieedwards Beautiful flowers from a beautiful lady 😍...jadethirlwall 🙋👀🙊
I saw her comment and I pressed like. The fans are now going crazy with our little interaction. And soon the media too. The management must be really happy. I rolled my eyes at the thought.
Then I went rummaging through my cabinets looking for some crisps, I realized I should do grocery since my kitchen is basically empty. I called Jesy to ask her if she could accompany me and fortunately, she agreed and told me she's be here in an hour. So I went to my room and then prepare for a shower since I still looked the devastating aftermath of last night. I should at least make myself look decent since I'm going out and paparazzi might see me.
~~~

Jesy and I arrived at the grocery store late afternoon to avoid the peak hours of people shopping. We started straight away as we don't like to stay too long here. I asked her to grab some crisps and ice cream while I get the essentials. While I am at the fresh goods section, I felt my jeans being tugged. I turned around and saw a cute little girl smiling sweetly at me.

"Hello, baby girl." I asked as I knelt in front of her.

"Are you a celebrity?" she asked me.

"I uh.. How could you say that? Do I look like I'm a celebrity?" I wiggled my eye brows at her and she giggled.

"Because you looked familiar. And there are a lot of cameras outside." she said tugging at my hair lightly.

"Oh.. well. Can you keep a secret?" I asked her, lowering my voice as I play along with her. She nodded.

"Yes, I am a celebrity. But don't tell anyone, that's our little secret. Okay?" I whispered at her. She nodded again and smiled.

"Pinky promise?" I raised my pinky finger at her.

"Pinky promise." she replied and laced her small pinky with mine.

Then we heard a woman call for her, must be her mom. She beamed a huge smile at me and waved goodbye. I waved back as she run to her mother. So cute!

"You're good with kids." I yelped as I heard someone behind me. I stood up and looked at the person. What the? How? Why?

"Hello, Perrie." she smile broadly at me.

"Jade! What are you doing here? I thought you have work." I asked her, still surprised.

"Well, I finished early so I thought I'd come see you." she said matter of factly.

"But how'd you know I'm here?" I'm still confused. Is she tracking me? Does she have someone following me? No!

"Jesy." she answered as if it's a dumb question. Oh gosh! And as if on cue, Jesy popped beside me out of nowhere.

"Hey Jade!" Jesy greeted her while dropping the items she got to the cart.

"Hello Jes! That's quite a handful." Jade snickered referring to items Jesy brought with her.

"Oh, yeah. Because this young lady right here loves crisps so much, she can finish ten packs in one seating." Jesy teased me.

"Shut up Jes! That's not true." I pouted. Well, maybe it's true.

"Wow! That's unhealthy Perrie. Maybe you should share some of those." Jade said and they're both laughing at me now.

"I hate you!" I smacked Jesy on the arm and she stopped laughing. Jade tried to stopped too.

"Okay. I think I should go now." Jesy said.

"What? Why?" I asked confused. She came her with me and then she's gonna leave me?

"Jade's here, so I'll leave you two to finish your shopping." I was about to argue but she was already walking away. Sometimes, Jesy can be a pain in the ass.

"Need a hand?" Jade asked me as she walked behind the cart and pushed it.

"Uhm.. I think I got everything I needed." I smiled at her and we walked down to the payment area.

After I've paid for the grocery, Jade insisted on helping me carry the bags. She got one bag on her right hand while the other held my hand. She's such a gentlewoman! As we got out of the store, flashing lights greeted us. There are a lot of paparazzi but I was surprised when they didn't tried to swamp us, they just stayed a few meters away from us while they keep taking pictures. Jade's hand tighten its grip on mine at she led me to her car. When we got to where her car was parked, she put the grocery bag on top of the car hood, fished out her keys, unlocked the car and opened the passenger door for me, all the while she's holding my hand and not letting it go. Jeez! This girl is melting me to a puddle with her sweetness.

~~~
I opened the front door of my flat and let Jade in. I told her to follow me to the kitchen so we can drop the grocery bags there. She then insisted on helping me unpack the groceries, and I can't say no. I mean, how can you say no to Jade freaking Thirlwall? We talked about random things as I put the items to their respective places. I feel like we got a little closer to each other now after last night and earlier today. We both got to know each other more and it really helps with our current situation. Although I still feel awkward and shy at her sometimes, but I guess that's just normal. Maybe if we weren't in this freaking agreement, I think we could be great friends. That would be nice.
"I'd better get going." Jade said after we finished.
"Oh right, it's getting late. And I think you have work tomorrow." I said leading her to the front door.
"Yeah, have to work for a living." she chuckled.
"Haha! Very funny." I said sarcastically and we both laugh.
"Anyway, thank you so much for today Jade. You've done a lot for me. The flowers, the breakfast, doing shopping with me, driving me home, helping me unpack. You really don't have to do all of that." I said.
"Hey, I told you that it's my job now, remember? And I liked doing those things for you." she cooed at me.
"I know, I just.. I don't want you to bother too much for me." I said suddenly getting shy again.
"It's okay Perrie, I'm enjoying every second of it." she said, giving me that sweet sweet smile of hers. Ugh, how can I resist you when you're being so sweet to me?
We said our goodbyes and I thank her one last time. She opened the door and started to walk out, but I held her hand and pulled her back. I throw my arms around her neck and hugged her close to me. She was surprised at first but she hugged be back. I'm just so thankful for all that she did for me today, it's been long since someone made be feel like I'm special. She made me feel special. We hugged for a good minute. When we let go, we didn't say anything, we just smiled at each other.
