Chapter 7

Perrie's POV

I couldn't process anything that the reporter was saying because I was so shocked by the news. What the hell? Where did that come from? Then they displayed a photo, although a little blurry but recognizable, of us at the balcony of the club last night at the after-party. There's actually nothing much in it, we were just sitting on a bench. And then they displayed a side-by-side photo of Jade arriving at the party with her leather jacket, and me going out of the club wearing the same jacket. Oh my God! They are unbelievable! These media people are so fast with assumptions.

I was stunned, I don't even know what to think. What would Jade think of this? Oh no! This is so embarrassing. I can feel my headache returning, so I shut my eyes close and tried to calm myself. This can't be happening! Oh my God! Then I jumped when the front door burst open and Jesy walked in. Oh God no, I can't have this conversation right now.

"Care to tell me what's going on?" she said in a serious tone.

"Good morning to you too!" I replied sarcastically.

"Oh come on Pez." she grumbled.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said while rubbing my temples to ease the headache.

"You know damn what, it's all over the news!" she yelled.

"I don't know Jessica! I just found out, and I can't even think straight right now. My hangover is killing me!" I yelled back at her.

She then disappeared in front of me only to appear after a couple of minutes with advil and a glass of water in her hands.

"Here, drink up." she said as she handed me the pill and water.

"Thanks Jes." I took them and drink.

She sat beside me, waiting for the medicine to take effect.

"So.. can we talk now?" she said after a while.

"Yeah, but there's nothing to tell you really. I don't even know what was that." I told her.

"Why not just tell me what happened?" she asked.

"Okay." I sighed and then told her everything that happened last night. She just let me talk, she didn't interrupt me until I was finished.

"That son-of-a-bitch! He still have the guts to talk to you after what he's done? He's lucky I wasn't there with you, or he might be at the hospital now." she said furiously.

"Calm down Jes! I've took care of it.. And without the use of violence." I chuckled. She rolled her eyes.

"So... about Jade. Are you sure there's nothing going on?" she said.

"Of course Jesy. I just met her last night! And if I'm dating anyone, you would have known." I replied.

"That's true. I'm your best friend for goodness sake." she laughed.

"I should clear this out. Oh my God! This is so embarrassing!" I whined as I face palmed myself.

"Hey, relax. It's alright.." she cooed at me.

"Had Jade said something yet?" I asked.

"I don't think so. I should make a call." she responded and stood up dialing at her phone.

I picked up my own phone from the table and opened Twitter.. Oh boy we're trending! The news spread so fast like wildfire and it's breaking the internet. #JadeAndPerrie is currently number one on worldwide. My notification is exploding, I don't even know where to start. I scrolled through it then I saw one that had me startled.

Oh my God! I can't even... People noticed it too and they are now talking about it. And then a thought suddenly came to my brain and I was now opening Instagram. And there it is, another notification.

She liked my recent post, which was last night before the show. Oh gosh! What is happening? Her following me on social media just added to the chaos. The people are going crazy! The press is probably working their asses off to get a scoop about this latest showbiz bomb.

Jesy's still on the phone so I went back to Twitter and I scrolled through my feed. I can see that the people have different opinions about this. Some actually liked the news, that they think we're a good match. Some don't like it at all, that Jade is theirs. What? And then some, well, the usual haters.

Then one tweet caught my attention, it's Jade's.

@JadeThirlwall: Had fun last night! 🙊🙊🙊

I stared at the tweet as if something's gonna happen. Is she referring to our meeting? No! She's probably referring to the show and the after-party. I sighed. 

"Uhm... Pez?" Jesy snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I said and looked up to her.

"I was just on the phone with Paul." she said and seemed hesitating.

"And? What'd he say?" I asked getting nervous.

"He said that the upper management wants to see us." she said as calm as she can.

Oh no! This is getting out of hand.

Jade's POV

"Hey poopey, wake up." I heard. Must be a dream.

"Jadey!" I felt someone shaking me.

"Come on Jade! Wake up." I heard again, then I realized it's Leigh-Anne trying to wake me.

"Go away." I groan.

"There she is.. come on!" she continues to wake me.

"You said I'm having my day-off today!" I protest snuggling deeper into my pillow.

"Yes, I did. But there's something I need to show you." she said.

"Can't it wait until later?" I asked.

"No, it's urgent. Now get up!" she said starting to get impatient.

"Nooooooooo!" I whined.

"JADE AMELIA THIRLWALL, GET UP THIS INSTANT OR I WON'T GET YOU BISCUITS!!!" she yelled.

"I'm up! I'm up!" I sat up right away, my eyes still closed. She don't fight fair!

"I knew that would work." she laughed, proud of herself.

"I hate you!" I snapped at her.

"No you don't! Now get up, I'll wait for you in the kitchen." she said and then went out of my bedroom.

I went to the bathroom and did my morning rituals. Then went out to the kitchen to find Leigh sitting on the stool, waiting for me. I sit down next to her and she handed me a cup of tea and some biscuits.

"So what is it that's so urgent that you have to wake me up from my slumber?" I asked as I ate my breakfast.

"You might wanna take a look at this." she handed me today's newspaper.

I almost choked at my tea when I saw the headline. I am in the front page with big bold letterings saying:

"Newest Celebrity Couple: Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards"

I froze, eyes wide open. I did not saw that coming! Oh my God! How did this happened? Surely, they might have seen us last night. But we were at a freaking party and people normally chatted at parties. I looked at the picture again and it's a photo of us from last night. It's blurry yet recognizable and it looked like I have my arm over her shoulders, like we were cuddling or something. I tried to recall what happened last night and then it hits me. That was when I put my jacket around her! Man, I didn't even touched her that time!

I can't quite comprehend what is going on right now, yet a smile crept up my face.
