43 ~ Lestrange und Black: Round Two
15:41, 6 May 2026A tragic evening for everyone except the readers.
Remus' POV:
Shocked, I watched Phil walk away with Lily towards the girls. I did not know why, but I found it difficult to believe that she had been involved in this prank against us with Lestrange.
She had every right to, though.
Yes, she had, even if I was sure it had not been her idea. Firstly, because the itching powder had been taken off the market a long time ago, and secondly, I don’t know, because Phil was simply Phil. And yet I know that I do not truly know this girl... I had already come to that conclusion shortly after the argument with her. The current situation made that clear. The night in the hospital wing had also made it clear, because I had gotten the feeling that I had truly spoken to Phil for the first time.
"Bloody snake!" a voice dragged me back into reality, then continued: "Why are you all looking as though Peeves just flew through you?" "We’re supposed to tell you from Phil that you wear nice black boxers," I heard Wormtail’s voice, who had recovered first. After his words I looked at Padfoot, who was standing beside me. He was speechless. "Definitely a twist no one saw coming..." Prongs muttered and his words summed up the situation perfectly. "It’s because of Lestrange," Sirius insisted and angrily shoveled scrambled eggs onto his plate after sitting down, "She always provokes, just like now. Because of her I have to clean a classroom after lessons today, and with her company at that!" "Because of her?" I asked, "So you fired the spell?" "Oh, come on, she pulled her wand first!" Sirius snapped back. Only smoke coming out of his ears was missing to perfect the picture. "So you fired the spell at her?" "You’re annoying with your logic, Moony, stop it!" I rolled my eyes, but knew that Padfoot did not mean it seriously. He also could not admit any blame to himself. So it was pointless to remind him that he had engaged in the argument with Lestrange, as well as the fact that he had fired a spell at her. "I think that in Phil’s case Lestrange didn’t poison her," Prongs said and grey eyes immediately began to sparkle, but the bespectacled boy quickly explained himself: "She probably only joined in the prank because she was angry with us, still is." "At least I’m going to get revenge on Lestrange," Padfoot replied, "and if Phil gets in the way, then I don’t care, yeah, Moony, then I don’t care." "Why are you looking at me like that now?" I asked. "Because you really like Phil." "What’s your definition of really liking?" "Our definitions differ, but I just wanted to make it clear that Phil could become collateral damage. Now that I know she was involved, I care even less." "Eat your breakfast first, then we’ll see," Prongs said soothingly and the following look should have killed him. "I’ll see after this evening, thank you very much!" Sirius snapped back and began stabbing at his scrambled eggs. He clearly still needed to process it, but what was I supposed to say? He had deserved the detention.
Sirius' POV:
Monday passed normally, except that by evening I increasingly wanted to throw myself off the Astronomy Tower. I hated Mondays anyway, then I certainly did not need a Lestrange whom I had to clean a classroom with. "If you try a little harder, perhaps you really will kill me with your looks," the snake in front of me already spoke. We were both leaning against the wall and looking at each other, waiting for Professor McGonagall to arrive. "If murder wasn’t a crime, you’d have been dead ages ago!" I hissed back, but only laughter answered me. It was a laugh that made me aggressive, because Lestrange emphasised every single "Ha". It drove me mad, because it sounded artificial, but that was no surprise, because all snakes were fake. "Are you angry that little Blackie has to clean today?" she taunted and her face increasingly invited being punched. However, that too was too perfect, as though a Death Eater had created the perfect daughter. Every single wave, slight curl, of Lestrange’s pitch-black hair always sat perfectly and her skin showed no flaws. One could not even find dirt beneath her fingernails or a crease in her clothes.
This snake will be the reason I get charged with murder!
"Or did you have a shag planned today? Did you shave your balls for nothing? Is that the reason for your outrage? Supposed to be exhausting for you men."
That’s enough!
"Someone ought to cut your tongue out!" "And yours your dick!" Inside I boiled and walked towards her. Like all those years before, she was still slightly shorter than me. Bored, she tilted her head back. On her lips sat a nasty grin and I genuinely did not understand her. She wound me up so much, but she always seemed to be having fun.
Yeah, the twisted mind of a Lestrange...
"You two! Apart!" McGonagall’s voice suddenly rang out. I stepped back two paces. Lestrange stood normally beside me. Together we looked at the professor. "I do not understand either of your problems, but you now have enough time to think about them," she said, afterwards holding out her hand to us. Reluctantly we both placed our wands into it, then McGonagall nodded. Her eyes were threatening, whereupon she opened the classroom. Immediately a disgusting smell streamed towards us, so that I had to suppress a gag. Even McGonagall behind us tried not to pull a face and gestured into the classroom. "They’re going to kill us with this," Lestrange complained, holding her nose shut. "Open a window, but more importantly: both of you think about unauthorised actions. I shall check on you for the first time in two hours, cleaning supplies are ready." She swung her own wand and two buckets, along with cloths, brooms and rubbish bags, appeared. "I’m not some bloody Muggle..." Lestrange muttered quietly, but audibly. "Watch your language, Miss Lestrange! I do not wish to deduct more house points from you." The black-haired girl nodded grimly, whereupon McGonagall disappeared and left the two of us alone in one room, though whether we would survive that?
Elizabeth's POV:
Disgusted, I eyed the slime. I had no idea what it was. I did not want to know either, because the white-brown colour of the slime was disgusting enough for me, I did not want to know where it came from. It was a biting smell that triggered every gag reflex one had, even though the windows were open. However, the fact that they were open meant that it was bloody freezing. The work was also exhausting and at the moment I was scrubbing a wall. "You know," I raised my voice, because a nasty thought had come to me, "I actually think the smell is completely normal now. It’s mixed with your own stench, which I haven’t been able to get out of my nose since First Year, Black. Yeah, disgusting." Calmly I turned around and looked at Black. Today he was in the best mood I had ever seen him in, even though he was responsible for our stay here. He had fired the curse, even if I had provoked it. At least we both knew now that Hogwarts' ceilings were sturdier than expected. They had withstood his distracted curse and only dust had trickled down from the ceiling.
Or perhaps Black is simply bad at magic?
"You know," he replied calmly, looking back at me, "I can live with that, at least it keeps you away from me." "Why exactly would I want to get closer to you?" I twisted my face into a grimace. "Well, the ladies have quite a different opinion, Lestrange." "If by ladies you mean blondes with hot air between their ears, then yes, you’re right, Black." "You’re only talking like that because you’ve never experienced my closeness." Naturally I knew that some girls had already described him as - warning, disgust incoming - a sex god. "No thanks, I’ve got fingers," I replied and shuddered at the thought of getting close to the bloke in front of me in that sort of way. "I’ve got fingers too, Lestrange," was Black’s relaxed answer. "Having them alone isn’t enough," I said with a shrug and turned around, but of course he had to have the last word: "Naturally I know how to use them. I’d offer to let you find out, but we do have one thing in common; not even I want to get close to you in that sort of way." I ignored his words, but I never could have known what would happen next.
"I’m not doing that," I protested. A table stood between us. "But I want to leave this classroom today," Black replied irritably and when I looked past him, I recognised that the sky had already grown dark. "If you hadn’t fired a curse, we wouldn’t be here now." "If you hadn’t stuck your nose into other people’s business again and pulled that prank with Phil, I wouldn’t have fired it." For a brief moment confusion appeared on my face, because I would not have thought Phil the sort to stand behind what we had done together with me. It only made her more likeable. "At least I only stick my nose somewhere, unlike you, Black!" I snapped while he jumped onto the table, "And what’s between Phil and me is none of your bloody business!" "You’re poisoning her." "Oh really, and you glorious Marauders are better?" I shot back, "I haven’t hurt her so far. In my presence she actually laughs." "Is this a competition now?" came the calm reply, although I seemed to have hit a sensitive point. "In a competition you and your friends would need similar chances of winning, so no, it isn’t a competition, more a sad fact for you." "Bloody hell, you’re annoying! I finally want to get out of this room!" anger spoke from Black. Suddenly he came closer to me. His arms grabbed beneath my armpits and I was pulled onto the table towards him. Immediately my body tensed and a hiss escaped my mouth. "Paws off, mutt!" I snarled, but his grip shifted to my upper arms. I struggled, however stopped when the only way left to fight back would have been to kick him in the balls. Unfortunately he was right, because I too finally wanted to leave this classroom, but the ceiling still had to be cleaned.
Afterwards I’m going to kill him.
Those thoughts drove me on. In the next moment the grip around my upper arms loosened. "You seem to be gaining some insight, so miracles still exist." "I don’t want to see you anymore either," I replied calmly, dangerously calmly, because I had to distract from the fact that he was far too close to me. I noticed that Black used too much perfume or aftershave. As a result I regrettably had to rule out that he stank. Yes, a tragedy. "Then at least we agree on that." Without warning my world turned. I was spun around, afterwards Black bent down behind me and hoisted me onto his shoulders. The fact that all this worked far too easily made me decide in my thoughts to do more sport. "Ahhh, you’re pulling my hair!" "Oh, terribly sorry, unfortunately I only had that to hold onto because you didn’t warn me!" I grumbled back and after Black briefly bent his knees to hand me the bucket and cloth, I let go of his hair. However, when I began cleaning the ceiling, I deliberately dripped water from the cloth into his hair and found sweet revenge in it. "Do that again and I’ll drop you," he threatened. "How are you going to reach the ceiling then, hm?" I asked sweetly and I was right. We were in a classroom whose benches were attached to the tables. "You’re unbearable!"
A little later we had finished the ceiling, and when I wanted to hand Black back the cleaning utensils, water dripped onto his head again, dirty water, this time genuinely by accident. I had not been paying attention either. "Wahhh," the boy exclaimed and he nearly lost his balance. At least the bucket landed unharmed on the table, but now I had to endure his grip around my thighs, which were covered by my trousers, becoming tighter. His hands were also too high. Briefly everything inside me tightened from shock. It was far, far too high, which I communicated to Black by pushing his hands lower. But in doing so I moved and unfortunately he had still not fully regained his balance. Black fell backwards onto the table. I had to catch my fall with my elbows and grimaced.
Yeah, ow!
I was lying half on top of Black. When my vision stopped flickering, I spotted his feet in front of me. Consequently I quickly sat up and while his hands had been uncomfortable before, I was now sitting directly on his crotch instead. Reflexively, his right hand had wrapped around my hip.
Ahhh!!!
Naturally I nearly had a fit. Before I screamed, I got off him and jumped down onto the floor. Rubbing his head, the Gryffindor sat up, but naturally he had not lost his disgusting sense of humour. "That exactly that is your favourite position, Lestrange, would have been the last thing I expected. Although, this way you don’t have to look me in the eyes!" Black burst out laughing and he had a barking laugh, "And that expression on your face makes it even better!" he kept laughing and tipped backwards. His chest rose and fell at irregular intervals. I had to breathe my aggression away. Just as I wanted to answer something, the door opened and Gryffindor’s Head of House rescued us. After this day I still wanted to kill Black.
