Chapter 21

Sophia's POV ~"What of they don't like me?" I asked."Whats not to like about you?" Dylan asked. "Well i've never met most of them before. What if they think I'm weird for coming out here with you when it's like a family visit." I said. Dylan grabbed our luggage, then my hand. He kissed my temple and smiled."Well one day your gonna be family right? As for me, your like my family already so therefore you belong here." Dylan said smiling."Dylan, really?" I said tearing up. Did he really love me that much? Did he really think we were gonna get married? Not that i don't want to be with him but we're young and i'm surprised he would think that. I mean we've only been dating about almost 2 months."Yes really." He said giving me a kiss."SOPH!!" I heard someone squeal. I looked up and saw Julia running towards us."JULS!!" I screamed back. She ran up to us squeezing us tight almost knocking us over, we all laughed. "Dylan didn't tell me you were meeting us here!" I said excited to see her."Well surprise!" She laughed. We went to go outside to Julia's car when Dylan stopped me."You might want to put your sweatshirt back on its colder out here then Cali." He smirked. "Haha i think i'll live. I mean your in a T-shirt, so i think i can manage." I laughed. He just laughed at my response. We walked outside and i was perfectly fine. I actually like colder weather. He looked at me and was like waiting for me to start to get cold or something."Haha maybe i was wrong. Maybe you can be a Jersey girl after all." Dylan chuckled, i stuck my tongue out at him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Pulling up to Dylan's aunts house i had a knot in my stomach. Will they question my about why i'm here? Will they like me? I'm guessing Dylan could tell i was still nervous. I had been standing like a statue in the middle of the walkway to the door. Dylan wrapped his arms around me."Don't be nervous, they'll like you." He said kissing my neck and taking my hand. We walked up to the door and i took a deep breath. Dylan reached for the door knob with his free hand but i grabbed it. "Are you sure?" I asked looking in his eyes."Yes Soph." He kissed my head and opened the door. I stayed behind him, his hands holding mine i followed close behind Dylan. Little kids were running around and playing games. We walked into the dining room where all the adults and older children were. By older children like people Dylan and Julia's age. "Look who's here." Dylan said pulling me from behind him to next to him and wrapping his arm around me. I smiled and waved shyly. "Everyone this is Sophia but she goes by Soph. She is Dylan's girlfriend. Soph this is the family." His mom smiled at me."Hi everyone." I said. "Come sit with me." Dylan said pulling me to the table. I was sitting between Dylan and a woman. I was sitting quietly just trying not to be the obvious one out in the group. The lady next to me tapped my shoulder. Dylan was in his own conversation with one of his cousins across the table."Hi, i'm Dylan's aunt, his mom's sister. Feel free to call me Aunt Sharon." She smiled. I nodded but was nervous and didn't know how to answer. I felt like i had been quiet for an eternity. Dylan grabbed my hand under the table. I looked over at him and smiled."Hi, and thank you." I smiled back."So tell me about yourself. Dylan was talking none stop about beautiful you were since he got here, but thats pretty much it." She laughed and i blushed."Umm... Well i have a little sister, shes 12. I've lived in California my whole life. I turned 18 in the beginning of the month. I never had luck with guys until Dylan came along... He's the best thing thats happened to me in a long time." I smiled and wiggled my fingers between Dylan's he leaned over and kissed my cheek. I turned red like a freaking fire truck and he laughed. "Aw, thats sweet." She smiled. "Dylan you were right, she is beautiful." "I know." He laughed and ran his thumb down my cheek. He went to kiss me when one of his cousins said something."Ew get a room Dyl!" The guy from across the table he had been talking to said."No we're okay here." He said and kissed me, right there on the spot in front of his family. "Dylan." I said. He turned and we went back to our conversations. I little girl who looked to be about probably 3 or 4 came up to me and placed a puzzle on my lap."Will you play this puzzle with me please." She asked so politely."Tara, maybe later Soph will play with you, she's hanging out with the grown ups right now. But thank you for asking nicely." Dylan's aunt said to the little girl who now had a sad look on her face."So your names Tara?" I asked the little girl. She nodded excitedly that i was interacting with her."Yes!" She squealed."That's my little sisters name." I smiled."Really!!?" Tara jumped up and down."Yes ma'am, and i would love to do a puzzle with you." I smiled at her."YEES!!!" She squealed jumping with joy. She picked up the puzzle and i stood up, she started to pull me into the other room."So Tara how old are you?" I asked as we sat on the floor and she dumped out her puzzle."3!" She said holding up 4 fingers and then putting 1 down to make 3."Cool!" I smiled.We started to put the puzzle together and she was so excited. Once it was finished she smiled proudly that she finished it. "Look! MINNIE MOUSE!" Tara squealed. "I see!" I said excitedly. I loved little kids so much they are just so cute! Dylan came out and sat next to me."Having fun?" He asked."Yes." I smiled. "Dylan! Now you help do the puzzle!" She said pulling on his finger. Tara messed it all up and took it apart so she could start again. This time both Dylan and I helped her make the puzzle. Dylan bent down and held Tara by her shoulders."Tara I'm gonna take Soph down to the park. Would you like to come?" Dylan asked her."Yes yes yes!!" She ran over and got on her coat. "Come on get your coat you'll be cold later." Dylan said offering me a hand up. I took it and when he pulled me up he kissed me, i smiled."Eww!" Tara said running around us. "I'm, ready, i'm ready, i'm ready!" "Alrighty then what are we waiting for!" Dylan said, picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder."Be back for dinner!" His mom yelled."I know mom!" Dylan yelled back. Walking to the park Tara was running in front of us. We walked hand in hand. It was a cute little town his aunt lived in. All of a sudden Tara stopped walking and stood in front of this one house."Look Dylan's house." She said pointing at the house she stopped in front of. "Yes Tara but not anymore remember i moved." He said and looked at me. "This is my old house where i grew up." Dylan said. "Its pretty." I said. He smiled and nudged Tara to keep walking. "So you never told me. Why did your family move to Cali?" I asked. Dylan shoved his hands in his pockets and scoffed his feet and looked at the ground and then straight ahead. "Work for my dad. He does cinematography, like filming and stuff so there was more opportunities in Cali then Jersey so we moved." Dylan said looking at me. "I miss living here but if i hadn't moved i wouldn't have met you. So i glad we moved because, i found the girl i love." We stopped walking and i went to kiss him."The Park!!!" Tara yelled running. I laughed and so did Dylan. "Next time remind me to leave her home." Dylan said, i laughed and he chased after her. ~After Dinner~Dylan and i were sharing the guest room with his cousins Robert and Tyler. Robert and Tyler are brothers, Robert's 17 and Tyler's 16. I went in the bathroom and changed into sweat pants, a T-shirt and a sweatshirt. Dylan wore shorts and a T-shirt. We got the bed and the boys said they would share the blowup mattress. "Soph do you have any sisters?" Tyler asked. Tyler was also the one Dylan was talking to at the table earlier. "Shut up and go to sleep Tyler." Dylan said walking up behind him and smacking his head. Dylan turned off the light."Ouch! Damn Dylan i was just asking a question." Tyler said rubbing the back of his head. "Yes she does and shes 12 so forget about it." Dylan said getting in bed next to me, i laughed under my breath. Tyler went to say something and Robert just told him to shut up. Dylan wrapped his arms around me tight and pulled me close. "Sorry about him." He whispered in my ear."It's okay. Night." I smiled."Night Soph."__________________________Ahh so i really like this chapter haha i dont know why.
