Chapter 116

23:54, 5 May 2020

It didn't take much convincing in Gemma's behalf before Dr. Beckley was leading Tinsley and Gemma towards the room that Ian was in. When Tinsley walked in the room, his appearance was the first thing she noticed. He was beaten to a pulp but there was no denying who he was.

"This him?" Asked Gemma.

"Yep. That's the guy from the grocery store." Said Tinsley.

"Ok" said Gemma.

"So, what now? How do we find out if this is the guy that's responsible for the bombing?" Asked Tinsley.

"Well, we have to wait for the guys to call us. The FBI hasn't allowed them their one phone call yet." Said Gemma.

"Ok." Said Tinsley.

"You know, you're handling this so much better than I thought you would. You and Jax are pretty much connected at the hip. I'm not saying I thought you would be weak, but I did think that you would be a little more unsettled." Said Gemma.

Holding her hand out, Tinsley showed Gemma just how settled she was.

"Does this look like I'm settled? Gemma, I'm a wreck. I know I will break down but right now ain't the time. Me having a nervous fucking breakdown ain't gonna help Jax." Said Tinsley.

"I know sweetheart. I just felt like you should know that I'm glad Jax found you. I'm proud to call you my daughter in law" said Gemma.

Tinsley couldn't help but think about the letters she had read earlier. Was Gemma really the monster JT had made her out to be? Could she have been okay with Clay killing JT? Tinsley didn't know the answers to those questions but she deep down she didn't want to think of Gemma as being so heartless.

"Thanks Gemma. Like I said, I know I will break down and then, I'll be a blubbering mess. Then you think I'm so tough" said Tinsley, her voice cracking at the end.

Miss not the time. I can not start crying.

"Come here baby" said Gemma as she pulled Tinsley into her arms. The two of them stood in the middle of the hospital room, both of them crying and comforting each other.

"Hello again Tinsley" came a voice.

Lifting her head from Gemma's shoulder, Tinsley looked around the room looking for the source of the voice.

Ian lifted his hand from the bed.

"Nice to see you again" said Ian.

"Wish I could say the same" said Tinsley.

"So rude" muttered Ian.

"You haven't seen rude yet. Why were you at that club house? Why did Jax stab you?" Said Gemma.

"Because he's a criminal" said Ian.

"No he ain't" said Tinsley.

"Yes, he is. He stabbed me in the gut because he wanted me dead" said Ian.

"Look Ian, if Jax stabbed you, he had good reason. So why. Why did he stab you?" Said Tinsley.

"Well, my names not Ian. It's actually Declan." Said Declan.

"Doesn't matter. Now answer my question" said Tinsley.

"I'm feeling tired all of a sudden" said Declan.

"Bullshit" said Gemma walking towards Declan's bed.

"Declan, why did Jax stab you?" Said Tinsley again.

"That's simple. I bombed the garage" said Declan.

Well that was easy.

"You bombed the garage? Why?" Said Gemma.

"SAMCRO killed my father" said Declan.

"Who's your father?" Asked Gemma.

"Keith McGee" said Declan.

Gemma looked at Declan skeptically. Tinsley watched Gemma as she stared at Declan.

"You don't look like him" said Gemma after awhile.

"No, I look like my mother" said Declan.

"Why do you think SAMCRO killed your dad" asked Tinsley.

"That's what I was told" said Declan.

"So you don't know for sure" said Tinsley.

"No, but these people had so reason to lie to me" said Declan.

"You do know it was my husband who was hurt in that explosion." Said Tinsley.

"Should have been the old guy" said Declan.

"And that's my husband asshole" said Gemma.

Gemma stalked towards Declan's bed even closer. She got right down in his face.

"Listen to me you irish prick. You injured my son and made life for us hell. I ought to slit your god damn throat" seethed Gemma.

"Are you going to try and finish what your son didn't? You can kill me. Because if I die, your son goes to prison." Said Declan.

"Your right. I can't kill you. Not until Jax is cleared" said Gemma.

Before Declan could say anything, a nurse walked in the room.

"You guys can't be in here" she said.

"We were just leaving" said Gemma.

Jax and the guys were separated as soon as they were brought in to the FBI's holding center. Since getting there, Jax hadn't seen any of the guys. He hadn't even seen any agents since they escorted him to the room he was in.

After sitting in the room for awhile, Jax began to worry about Declan. Jax didn't know if Declan was alive or if he as dead. It had to be a good thing that no one had told him that he was now being charged with first degree murder right?

Jax could feel people watching him. He knew without a doubt that the huge mirror on the wall was a two way mirror. He figured the FBI agent who raided the garage was sitting behind the glass watching him, hoping he was going to break. He hated to disappoint the guy but he wasn't going to break.

After a few more minutes, the FBI agent came in.

"Sorry to keep you waiting Mr. Teller. I'm FBI Special Agent Danny McGarrett." Said the FBI agent.

"Wish I could say it was nice to meet you" said Jax.

"Same here. Look, you already know why we have you locked down. I know you have to be wondering why the FBI would have been sitting outside your place of business. Let's start there. Actually, let's start from the very beginning. Ian McPhee, I'm sorry Declan O'Conner, came to us claiming to have inside knowing of your illegal gun dealings. Said he would give us everything we needed to make sure you guys went away for a good long while in exchange for citizenship. Well, I don't know how much you know about the US laws on obtaining citizenship, but the FBI doesn't use it as a bargaining chip. We did however want to see what he could lead us too so we let him believe we were on board." Said Agent McGarrett.

"Is there a point here?" Asked Jax.

"I'm getting there. Be patient young grasshopper. Anyway, we sent up an alert that would notify us when anyone searched Ian McPhee/Declan O'Conner. When your in house computer geek did is search, it alerted us to you guys getting close. Now, until recently, we didn't know that O'Connor was behind the explosion at your garage. You see, when he came to us, I thought it was odd that he hadn't out for a specific group of guys but wouldn't tell us his motives. We've been investigating him as well. But I'll get back to that. Anyway, we have the files that ATF had on your guys. Seems that had a lot of circumstantial evidence but no proof that you guys were dealing. Seems like the case just kind of went cold." Said Agent McGarrett.

"That's cause SAMCRO doesn't deal guns. Nothing there to investigate." Said Jax.

"Figured as much" said Agent McGarrett.

"So, what's the FBI got on SAMCRO? We price gouging on oil changes?" Asked Jax.

"I don't know. Are you?" Said Agent McGarrett.

"No. But you already knew that. I'm sure you have someone going over our books with a fine tooth comb as we speak" said Jax.

"I do. Truth is, the FBI doesn't have anything on you. I'm holding you here until we find out if Declan will survive the stabbing or not. If he doesn't survive, well, you already know what's going to happen there" said Agent McGarrett.

"And if he lives?" Asked Jax.

"Well, he will be brought up charges for terrorism." Said Agent McGarrett.

"Seems fair" said Jax.

"But I'm afraid if he does survive, you won't go unpunished." Said Agent McGarrett.

"Figured that too." Said Jax.

"You're a cocky son of bitch aren't ya?" Asked Agent McGarrett.

"No, just confident" said Jax.

Before Agent McGarrett has chance to respond, there was a knock at the door. A petite woman stick her head in.

"Sorry to interrupt. Can I have a word with you Agent McGarrett?" Asked the petite female.

"If you'll excuse me" said Agent McGarrett TJ Jax.

"Go ahead. Not like I'm in a rush" said Jax.

Agent McGarrett walked out of the room leaving Jax alone once again.

Maybe this is about O'Connor. Hopefully the son of a bitch is still alive thought Jax.
