Chapter 26
07:34, 21 February 2020Jax needed to find Opie. If what Mary had said was true, the ATF had him. Mary said she got a phone call saying to come get Kenny and Ellie from the federal building. She was asking Jax why she would need to be going to get them and honestly, Jax had no clue.
He drove to Opie's house first. There was no one home. He talked to the neighbor and she said that the family had left at 3:00 in the morning and that they left in black sedans. None of them were in handcuffs.
To make matters worse, Rosen has called and said that Bobby had been picked up on murder charges. He was accused of murdering the Port Commissioner, Brendon Hefner. He did in fact kill him but the only three people that knew it were Bobby, Opie, and himself. And he knew Bobby didn't turn himself in and he knew he hadn't said anything. It was looking like Opie had ratted them out. The kids must be being held by the feds because they were offering Opie and Donna some kind of wit-pro.
Jax didn't want to believe that Opie would rat. They were basically brothers. They had came up together. Their dads had been best friends.
Climbing back on his bike, he headed back to TM. He needed to talk to the club and tell them what he had found out.
***************************************
The club members were sitting around the table. Jax needed to fill them on what he had found out. They all knew Bobby had been picked up for Hefner's murder and that supposedly there was a witness who fingered human. He told them what Opie's neighbor said about them leaving in the early morning hours. He told them about them not being in handcuffs. None of the guys wanted to believe that Opie would rat them out but they all had to admit that it was definitely looking like a possibility.
"Juice, monitor Opie's financials. I want to know anything that comes or goes." Said Clay.
"On it" said Juice as he furiously typed on his laptop.
"In the meantime, we keep this quiet. No one outside of this room knows anything." Said Clay.
They all shook their heads in agreement. They didn't want this getting out in the open in case the ATF tried to use Opie as a mole.
Clay banged the gavel and they all got up and left. Jax and Clay stayed in the room.
"Clay, if this is ATF, you have got to promise me that Opie will get a chance to tell his side." Said Jax.
"He will get his chance" said Clay.
"This ATF bitch is sneaky. I don't know how long she had been sniffing around but she's willing to try and use everyone she can to get information. I just found out the other night that she even tried to get Tinsley to give her info. Tinsley doesn't know anything about what we do so of course she couldn't tell her anything" said Jax.
Clay didn't need to know that Jax was planning on telling her everything.
"Things haven't been easy on Opie the past few years. His prison stint damn near broke him and Donna. If this bitch is as slimy as you say, she will probably offer him him money or to pay off some debts. I overheard him talking to Piney the other day. He said the house was getting ready to go into foreclosure." Said Clay.
"Damn. I didn't realize things had gotten that bad." Said Jax.
"None of us did. Donna didn't want any help from the club while he was inside because she blamed the club for it. I think Piney was keeping the house payments made but when Opie got out, she stopped because he figured Opie was going to jump back into SAMCRO full force. But I gotta ask son, if it turns out that Opie is the one who fingered Bobby, can you vote mayhem?" Asked Clay.
"If he did rat, I'll kill him my damn self" said Jax.
They both got up from the table, and headed back out into the main room of the club house.
It was nearly 5:00. Things were starting to slow down around the garage. Jax walked over to the office and found Tinsley on the phone.
"Yea, we can come right after closing. Ok, see you then." she said
"Who was that?" Asked Jax.
"Your mom. She wants everyone to meet at her house after closing. Said she had cooked dinner." Said Tinsley.
"She's always doing that. I bet she went all out too." Said Jax.
"She told me to come too." Said Tinsley.
"I'm guessing she wouldn't take no for an answer." Said Jax smiling. He already knew that answer to that question.
"No, she wouldn't." Said Tinsley.
"Figures." Said Jax.
Standing in the office, he wanted to touch her. He wanted to kiss, he wanted to lift her up on top of the desk and fuck he until she forgave him. But he couldn't do any of those things. He just stood there and clenched his hands at his sides instead.
"You got to stop looking at me like that." Said Tinsley.
"Like what" said Jax.
"Like you want to fuck me into next week." Said Tinsley.
"Well, if you want complete honesty, I do. But I won't push you to do anything until your ready." Said Jax.
"I appreciate that" said Tinsley.
"Anyway, I got to finish up some things. Do you want to ride with me over to Mom's or do you want to drive"? Asked Jax.
"I was thinking I could just ride with you." Said Tinsley.
"That's what I was hoping you were going to say" said Jax .
He took a step closer to her. He wanted to kiss her so bad that he could almost taste it.
"Get out of here Teller. Finish up what you need to do so she can be ready when we close up." Said Tinsley.
Jax walked out of the office and not a moment to soon. If he had stayed much longer, she knew she would have jumped him right here in the office and she wouldn't even have cared who walked in on them. She had never been so mad and hurt by someone and still wanted to fuck their brains out. It was mind boggling to her.
Finishing up the days paperwork, she set the after hours answering service, and turned the lights out on the office. Jax had already sent Dog home and the rest of the guys had already gone to Gemma's. The only two left at the shop were Jax and Tinsley.
As she walked out of the office and locked the door, Jax was closing the bay doors to the shop. She locked up and he locked bat doors from the inside and came out the side door and locked that one too.
Jax walked over to her and grabbed her hand. He didn't know how she was going to react to him doing that but she didn't pull away. He was going to take that as good sign. He walked over to his bike with her hand in his. He climbed on while she secured her helmet. Once she was done, she climbed on and wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him between his shoulder blades like she always did. His dick twitched at the contact. The feel of her arms around him and the kiss between his shoulder blades felt like heaven. He had missed this. He had missed this more than he could ever remember missing anything else in his life.
Starting his bike, he eased towards the gate and stopped just outside of it to lock it up. Once the gate was locked, they headed for Gemma's.
When they arrived at Gemma's, they walked hand in hand towards the door. Jax stopped just before they went in.
"Thank you for riding with me over here. I missed the touch of you on the back of my bike. And I missed this" said Jax as he lifted her hand and kissed it.
"I missed riding too" said Tinsley.
They headed into Gemma's house and were treated with the sounds of most of the guys sitting around Gemma's table. They were waiting for the rolls to be done. Gemma had cooked a feast. There was prime rib, tossed salad, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy and yeast rolls. She had even made a strawberry cheesecake. She must have been at this all day. That would explain why she hadn't showed up at TM today thought Tinsley as she took a seat beside Jax.
When she sat down, Jax's hand went to her thigh. The contact grounded Tinsley. She couldn't believe how one single touch could calm her and excite her all at the same time.
Dinner went well at Gemma's. After everyone have finished eating and people began to lead, Jax and Tinsley walked outside to his bike. He propped himself against and pulled Tinsley to him. Surprisingly, she didn't fight it.
"You ready to go?" Asked Jax.
"Yea, but I need you to carry me to TM to get the Tahoe." Said Tinsley.
"No problem." Said Jax.
After they were both on the bike, Jax drove to TM. Unlocking the gate, he eased the bike inside and and rode over to the parked vehicle. Jax cut the bike off and Tinsley climbed off. She stood there for a minute trying to figure out what she wanted to do. Her heart wanted to go back to Jax's house but her head told her to go to her apartment. In the end, her head won.
"See you tomorrow?" said Tinsley.
"You bet" said Jax.
"Ok, well I should get going." Said Tinsley as she leaned over and kissed him on the check. The hit he took yesterday from her had started to bruise. She kissed the cut and climbed up into the Tahoe. Buckling up, she started the engine. Jax climbed back on his bike and waited for her to back up and head towards the gate. She pulled out onto the street and made sure Jax got the gate locked ok. After he climbed back on his bike, she went to her apartment and Jax headed to his house.
She had kind of hoped Jax would follow her. Being on the back of his bike had been the happiest she has been in days. She really did miss riding with him.
She parked the Tahoe and locked it up, heading towards her apartment. She unlocked the door and went inside turning the lamp on beside the couch. Every surface of the house was covered in red roses. Walking to the first one, she plucked the card out and it read:
Each rose represents every time I thought about you to day- J
Tinsley looked around the room and was astounded by the number of roses. She walked down the fall and even her dresser was covered in roses. But what shocked we most was the brand new king size bed. The comforter on it was black. The sheets were blue. SAMCRO colors. Her heart melted at the sweetness of it all. On top of the comforter was rose petals in the shape of a heart and Hershey kisses filled the entire inside of the shape. A handwritten note laid in the middle of the heart. Picking it up Tinsley read what it said.
Each kiss represents each time I have wanted to kiss those adorable lips of yours today- J
Tinsley wondered where he had found the time to do this. Did he do it when he left earlier after talking to that lady? Did he have someone else do it?
Walking into the bathroom, there were even more flowers. She noticed the bathtub was filled with water and rose petals floated on the surface. A little note card sat beside on the side of the tub.
Each drop of water in the tub represents every tear I have shed because of how I treated you. Please forgive me. I love you -J
Tinsley began to cry. This was the absolute sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her. The level of thought Jax had put into this was mind blowing. She didn't know how she was ever going to pay him back, but she had a pretty good idea of where to start. Stripping down, she found her black strappy negligee with matching thong and put it on. The parts that had fabric were black lace and had faux leather straps all over it. It didn't leave very much to the imagination. Which was what she was going for. She grabbed her black spike heels and her trench coat. She went to the bathroom and checked her makeup. She reapplied her lipstick and brushed her teeth. She fluffed her hair. After achieving the look she wanted, she grabbed the trench coat and belted it tight. She grabbed her purse, flipped the lamp off, and walked out of her apartment. She unlocked the Tahoe, climbed in, and headed to Jax's.
When she made it to his place, all the lights were off but Jax's bike and truck were in the driveway. Walking up to the door, she knocked. She waited for what seemed like forever before Jax opened the door in nothing but his gray sweats. When he did, Tinsley unbelted the trench and letting it fall to the ground at her feet. There she stood on Jax's front porch, in the glow of his porch lights, in nothing but her negligee and spike heels.
"You gonna let me in or what?" Asked Tinsley.
