Chapter 18

18:23, 18 February 2020

After Jax and Tinsley showered, they decided it was time to venture to the living room. Both were starving. Willow and Half Sack we're lying on the couch. Thankfully, Willow had put her clothes back on. Jax could appreciate a nice body just like any living breathing man could but he had eyes for only one woman. And she was currently in an over sized T-shirt and shorts. An no bra he might add.

"Your guys hungry " asked Jax as he and Tinsley walked into the room.

"Starving" said Willow.

"Yea, I guess you guys did work up quite the appetite." Said Tinsley.

"And you have any room to talk?" Asked Willow.

"Didn't say I did" said Tinsley, snuggling into Jax.

They decided on ordering a pizza. Half sack and Willow went to pick up the pizza and to get come beer. While they were gone, Tinsley and Jax straightened up the house and Tinsley started a load of clothes in the washer.

"Hey, you said the bike was at TM. What did you drive home" asked Tinsley.

"Our Tahoe" said Jax, shrugging his shoulders.

"Our Tahoe. We don't own a Tahoe. You might, but I don't" said Tinsley.

"What's mine is yours darling" said Jax smirking.

Grabbing her by the hand, he walked her to the front door and flipping the front porch light on and grabbing a set of keys off the hook as they went out. In the drive way sat a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. It was black, with black wheels.

"Oh my god Jax." Said Tinsley.

"I'll take that to mean you like it" said Jax.

"Like it? I freaking love it" said Tinsley.

"Good, because it's yours to drive." Said Jax.

"Please tell me you didn't buy this just for me" said Tinsley.

"Well kind of. You needed a car to drive and I needed something that would be good for transporting Abel. This was the solution. I don't think they would like me strapping an infant seat to the back of my dyna" said Jax.

"Yea, I don't think they would like that at all" said to Tinsley.

"Go on. Go check it out" said Jax.

Tinsley walked towards the Tahoe. Jax hit the button on the remote unlocking it. Tinsley climbed up into the cabin. It had black leather interior, a sun roof, and every option available. Climbing down, Tinsley walked around the car and looked at it. It was absolutely beautiful. On the back glass, Jax had put up the little stick people family on the back glass. There were 3 of them- a dad, a mom, and a baby.

"Oh Jax. I can't believe this. It's too much but prefect all at the same time" said Tinsley, as tears began to stream down her face.

"Anything for you my love" said Jax.

He pulled her to him and kissed her. Just then, the roar of a motorcycle came up the street and they knew Half Sack and Willow were back.

They took the pizza and beer in the house, setting it on the coffee table. Jax and Tinsley sat on the couch and Willow and Half Sack sat on the floor. They devoured the large meat lovers pizza.

"I thought you were vegetarian" Jax asked the prospect.

"I was. Up until I smelled this pizza. I'm never not eating meat again" said Half Sack.

They all laughed. They ate pizza and drank beer and just hung out. It felt good you just kick back and relax with friends. Tinsley didn't know too many people I town. In fact, she only knew SAMCRO, Willow, and a handful of regulars from the diner. Jax's cell phone began to ring, dragging her from her thoughts. Looking at the ID, he didn't recognize the number.

"I'll be right back" said Jax, kissing Tinsley as he walked out onto the back deck.

"Hello" he said, answering the call.

"Jax, it's Wendy. I'm getting ready to be released from Saint Thomas." Said Wendy.

"And your calling me because....." said Jax.

"I wanted to let you know that I'm going to sign over all legal rights to Abel to you and that I'm going to admit myself to rehab. I going to make it stick this time." Said Wendy.

"Well that's good if your telling the truth. As far as the legal rights, I think that's best. I'm not saying I'm perfect in anyway but I think it will be good for him." Said Jax.

"Will you still tell him who I am?" Asked Wendy.

"When the time is right." Said Jax.

"I guess I can live with that. I love you Jax." Said Wendy.

"Don't say that because we both know you don't mean it" said Jax.

"While I'm gone will you think of me? Will you wait for me?" Asked Wendy.

"Wendy, we've done our dance." Said Jax.

"Yea, but not with Abel. Say you will roll the dice and give us a chance when I'm out" said Wendy.

"I can't say that. I'm seeing someone. Hell, I'm living with someone Wendy. Get yourself straightened out and I promise you will find someone more suited for you." said Jax.

"Jax, how serious can things be? I know you said you were living with someone but you and I have history" said Wendy.

"Yea we do. But look at that history. We got married on a whim, you cheated, I cheated, you OD-ed.." said Jax.

"But I'm gonna get clean Jax" said Wendy.

"Wendy, we're not getting back together. I told you I'm seeing someone. Go get clean. I will see you when you are better" said Jax. With that, he ended the call and walked back inside.

Tinsley could tell the call had stressed him out. The laid back Jax was gone and replaced with this tense version of himself.

"Everything ok?" asked Tinsley.

"Yeah, I'll tell you about it later" said Jax.

He sat back down into her couch, grabbing another slice of pizza. He pulled a beer out of the case and reclined back on the couch, pulling Tinsley to his side. After awhile, all the food was gone, the beer was gone, and Willow and Half Sack decided it was time to be gone as well. They were no doubt going back to Willow's place. Tinsley cleaned up the empty pizza box and enmity beer bottles. She switched the load of clothes from the washer to the dryer. When all of that was done, she asked back into the living room, and straddles Jax's hips.

"What's was the call about" asked Tinsley.

"It was Wendy. She signing over all her legal rights to Abel to me. She admitting herself into rehab. She says she's going to get clean." Said Jax.

"Well that's a good thing is she means it" said Tinsley.

"If being the operative word in that sentence" said Jax.

"You don't think she will get clean?" Asked Tinsley.

"To be honest, no, I don't. She said she was going to get clean before and it never stuck. She claims this time will be different because of Abel but she was pregnant the last time she claimed she would get clean. He wasn't important enough for her to get clean then so why would he be now" said Jax.

"I know baby." said Tinsley.

"But that's not all. She wants me to wait for her to get clean and then give her another shot." Said Jax.

"Oh" said Tinsley.

"Baby, you have nothing to worry about. I'm not going back with her. I just spilled my heart to you telling you that I wanted you to be my old lady. I asked you to move in. I told you I wanted you to help me raise Abel." Said Jax.

"I know you did. And I want all of that. But don't you think you should give her one more chance to get it right. At least for Abel's sake" asked Tinsley.

"No, I don't want Wendy. I don't know how many different ways I can say it. I want you and only you. I want you to be Abel's mom. I want you to help me raise him. I want to make babies with you. I want to share my life with you" said Jax.

Tinsley didn't even know what to say. She wanted all those things too but she couldn't help but feel like Wendy was getting the shitty end of the stick.

"Tins, say something. Please" said Jax.

""I want all of those things too. God, I want them more than anything in this world. I just feel like someone is going to get hurt either way." said Tinsley.

"Baby, Wendy and I have made our dance around the sun. I have no feelings for her. When I picture my future, it's not her I see walking beside me. It's you" said Jax.

"Oh Jax" said Tinsley as she began to cry.

"Don't cry baby. I can't stand to see you cry." Said Jax. Jax pulled her to his chest and held her, stroking her back as he tried to reinforce his words to her. He promised again to be faithful, to be honest. After her tears had stopped, he picked her up and walked her to his bedroom. Jax could still smell the scent of their love making from earlier. Standing her on her feet beside the bed, Jax helped her undress. She crawled into bed, wrapping up. Jax walked around the bed, undressed and crawled in behind here. He wrapped and arm around her waist and pulled her to him. They laid like that for awhile. Jax thought Tinsley had fallen asleep.

"I love you Jax" said Tinsley.

Jax didn't know 3 little words could pack such a punch. He felt like he had been gut punched. It was the sweetest sound he had possible ever heard.

"I love you too" said Jax, his voice cracking. Rolling onto her back, Tinsley started up at the ceiling.

"I love you with my whole heart Jax. I want what's best for Abel. I'm not saying that I will be it but I'm willing to try. That precious little boy stole my heart the first time I laid eyes on him. Wendy is going to be an issue for me though." Said Tinsley.

"Baby, you don't have to worry about her. I'm not going anywhere " said Jax.

Jax kissed her on the lips. One kiss led to another and before they knew, they were making sweet, passionate love. With each stroke Jax took, he reinforced his feeling for her. He said I love you with every forward motion.
