Chapter 10
04:50, 18 February 2020Jax had a plan. He just had to wait until the florist opened and it would be a couple hours before that happened. As he walked out of his apartment, he heard the sound of motorcycles coming into the lot. He walked into the main room of the club house and into the kitchen area where the coffee pot was. He needed the caffeine. The coffe had just finished brewing when Clay, Bobby, Piney, and Tig walked into the club house.
"Coffees ready" said Jax as he sat down at the bar, pouring sugar in his coffee.
"Thanks brother" said Tig.
They each Opie's themselves a cup of coffee and sat down.
"Any news on where the Mayans have our guns stored" said Clay.
"Not a word as of yet" said Jax.
On Sunday night, the Mayans hit there gun warehouse and had stolen there guns, blowing the the building up in a pathetic attempt to cover their tracks. Trammel had told us they had found lots of cowboy boot prints on the grounds of the warehouse. He also told us that Deputy Chris Hale had found the guy hired to do security dead.
"Laroy is getting antsy. He's loosing ground to the Mayans and needs those AK's to protect his territory and to protect his business adventures. He's threatening to find a new source for guns if we don't get them to him by this afternoon" said Clay.
"When Juice gets here, I'll have him dig into county deeds and see if he can find all the the properties that may be linked to Alveraz. We know it's going to be somewhere off the grid where no one is watching. We also can't rule out that they have our guns stores somewhere right under our noses" sad Jax.
"Sounds good. Keep me posted." Said Clay as he walked out of the club house and towards the garage.
"So how's that hot piece of ass who was with you the other day? I saw she's working in the office now" said Tig.
"Back off dude. She's mine. She's not some croweater and she won't be treated like one." Said Jax.
Tig put his hands up in mock surender. "Sorry dude. Don't be so testy"
"Yea, well, it's been a rough morning" said Jax.
"What? The Prince didn't get his dick sucked this morning" said Bobby jokingly.
"Something like that" said Jax as he headed for the garage.
Tinsley and Willow were working their asses off this morning. Wednesdays were senior day so all the seniors in Charming came out to eat the $2.99 breakfast. It was nothing special. 2 eggs, bacon, and toast but most of the older people in the town were on fixed incomes. They loved a good bargain. Mr. Miles always tried to make sure his two best waitresses were working on Wednesday morning. Tinsley was glad to be at work even though her mind wasn't entirely on thr job at hand. She was thinking about he fight with Jax. She had been a bitch. She shouldn't have yelled at him like she did. He was being supportive of her and told her they would work things out if she did end up pregnant. She couldn't believe she had got so lost in the moment that she completely forgot to use protection. The dream she had before Jax got there surely didn't help matters any. And if she was being honest with with herself, she wasn't totally opposed to the idea of having a baby. To that scared her was an understatement.
She continued to work, waiting her tables, her mind still only half on her work. She was bussing a table but the front glass when she saw a few members of SAMCRO ride by. She could tell on of them was Jax. She recognized the hair hanging under his helmet blowing in the breeze. She immediately wondered where he was going. Slipping into the stock room, he took her phone out of her apron and realized she had a new voice mail. It was from Jax. She listened to the message but didn't call him back because she knew he wouldn't hear his phone ringing over the sound of his bike.
She went back into the dining area and continued to wait on the customers sitting at the bar. By 9, things had died down as they usually did so she snuck out the back to get get a cigarette. The diner had a alley that ran behind it so she was less likely to be noticed back here. She just needed a minute alone to clear her head. Finishing her cigarette, she flicked it to the ground and put it out with her foot. She walked back into the diner she headed towards the restrooms to wash her hands. She checked her eyeliner and saw it was still in place. Coming out of the restroom, she checked her phone for the time. It was 9:15. Only a few more hours before her shift was over and she needed to head to TM. She wasn't really looking forward to it to be honest. She knew she would see Jax and she didn't know if she was ready to talk to him or not. She needed to apologize for being such a bitch earlier but Jax was also making a joke out of something that she was extremely worried about. She knew he was just trying to lighten the mood and she over reacted. Checking her reflection once more, she walked out of the restroom and headed for the dining area of the diner and the first person she saw was Jax. Sitting alone at the counter. In front of him was 2 dozen red roses with babies breath mixed in them. Tinsley walked over to him wondering what he was up to.
"What are you doing here Jax?" Asked Tinsley.
"Making up with my girl" said Jax.
"Your girl?" Asked Tinsley.
"Yea, my girl" said Jax. He got up off his bar stool and stood facing Tinsley.
"I'm standing in the middle of this restaurant, telling you and everyone in it, that you are my girl. The only girl that gives me butterflies just from looking at me. The only girl that I want to spend every night with. The only girl I want to know every little detail about. Now, I know we have only known each other a short amount of time but baby, please take a chance on me. I think I'm worth it. I will be committed to you and only you. Tinsley, you have rocked my fucking world and I don't care who knows it. I am falling for you.. fast. Faster than I ever have anyone. There is only one person that I have ever felt like this with and she left me 10 years ago. Yes, I have a reputation but baby I'm telling you, if you take this chance on me, I'm yours and only yours. Please Tinsley, take a chance on me." Said Jax.
Tinsley was crying. She had never heard anything so sweet in her life. This big, bad biker was putting his feelings on the line for her, in front of half the town. How could she say no to that? He had made it virtually impossible without being the bad guy. Not that it mattered, she wanted to take this chance. She wanted to leap head first and and blindly.
"Jax. I feel the same way. I'm willing to take that chance as long as you keep your promise. Cheating is a deal breaker. If I'm gonna take this chance on you, you better not be giving it to anyone else but me. And lying is a deal breaker as well. I need full disclosure. Always tell me the truth no matter how you think I might react. I would rather be hurt by the truth and gutted because you lied to me." Said Tinsley.
"Nothing but the truth baby, I promise." Said Jax.
Jax walked towards her and kissed her, sweetly and tenderly. He just held her for a few minutes. Before he let her go, he whispered in her ear, "I'm yours baby. All of me. We will figure this out as we go. One day at a time"
The whole diner applauded. Jax picked Tinsley up and spun her around, hissing her the whole time.
"Ok that's enough of that. I'm trying to run a diner here" said Mr. Miles.
Everyone laughed at his comment. Everyone went back to eating their food and drinking their coffee. Jax sat back down at the counter and Tinsley went back to work. Willow walked up to Jax.
"Just so you know Teller, you hurt my girl and I'll chop your dick off, batter it in flour and serve it to you for dinner." Said Willow.
"I hear ya loud and clear" said Jax.
"Good. Now are you ordering anything? If not, I need you to move from my counter" said Willow.
Laughing, Jax got up from his seat and headed outside. His bike was parked in the lot so he sat down on the seat and lit a cigarette. Getting a big lung full of smoke, he tried to calm him nerves. He didn't know how Tinsley was going to react to what he did but he's glad things worked out the way they did. He had put his whole heart on the line for the town to see. He would never hear the end of this from the guys. He was sure that by now talk of shit show of affection had already made its way back to TM.He didn't know what he would have done had Tinsley refused to hear him out. He didn't want to think about it either.
Tinsley only had a little over an hour left on her shift and then she had an hour before she promised Gemma she would be at TM. Jax dug his phone out of his pocket and dialed Juice.
"Hey brother, anything yet" asked Jax
"Still digging but I found a couple of shell cooperations that have ties to Alveraz. Working on getting a list of names right now" said Juice.
"Ok, I'll be back to the garage around noon. Think you'll have the list by then" asked Jax.
"Yea, pretty sure" said juice.
"Alright, see you in a few" said Jax.
"Alright brother. Oh and don't forget the heart you just spilled all over the floor of Sunny aside" said juice laughing.
"Yea, yea, fuck you asshole" said Jax, brushing off Juice's comment.
After hanging up, Jax pocketed his phone and turned around on his bike, resting his back on his gas tank, baking in the sun while he waited for Tinsley to finish her shift. He couldn't wait until she was off and she on the back of his bike. He could almost feel her arms wrapped around his waist already.
