Chapter 1

04:47, 18 February 2020

It was a typical Monday morning at Sunny Side Diner. The diner opened at 6am and by 8:30am, all the tables were full and Tinsley was working her ass off. Tinsley's best friend, Willow had called out as usual leaving Tinsley to run the morning shift alone.. again. This was the 2nd time this week. Willow was known for partying and not showing up to work. She literally did this 2 or 3 times a week. As much as Tinsley hated the extra work and knew she would be tired by the time her shift was over, she also needed the all the extra tips she could get. Having left a small town in rural North Carolina with everything she owned in a backpack and leaving her abusive boyfriend of 6 years, she was making her own way here in Charming. She was doing things her way and by her own rules.

Tinsley didn't want to be a waitress but with her limited job experience, waitressing was about the only thing anyone would hire her to do. That or porn and she wasn't that desperate for work. Up until moving to charming, all she had ever done was graduate high school, with honors I might add and cook and clean for Mason, he abusive ex boyfriend. It wasn't the best job by any means but it was keeping a roof over her head and food in her stomach. All things considered, she had it better that most people just starting off... and let's face it that's exactly what she was doing.

Finally, at around 9:45, things at the diner died down enough where she could step outside to smoke a cigarette. She was sitting on the bench outside the diner when she heard the rumble of motorcycles coming down Main Street. She didn't know why the sound gave her goosebumps every time she heard them. All she knew was that she wanted to hear it more often. As she took another drag of her cigarette, 3 Harley's pulled into the lot, rattling the windows as they parked. Tinsley had learned early on every member of SAMCRO. SAMCRO ran Charming and everyone in the twin knew it. The 3 that had pulled into the parking lot were Jax Teller, Opie Winston, and Juice Ortiz. Tinsley would be lying if she said these guys didn't intimidate her. Growing up all she had ever heard about bikers were how they were bad people. How they were murders, rapists, and things of the sort. Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't realized that the 3 guys were walking towards her and the diner until one of them was tapping her on the shoulder.

Tinsley nearly jumped out of her skin.

"Woah Darling. Didn't mean to scare ya" said Jax. "I'm not gonna hurt ya".

"I'm sorry Mr Teller, I was just lost in thought and you scared me" said Tinsley.

"Call me Jax... Tinsley" she said looking down at her name tag that was pinned on her yellow tank top.

"Ok Jax... what do you need?"

"Well, I was going to ask you if you had a light. My BIC died this morning and I forgot to stop and get one this morning" says Jax

"Umm, yea, sure... just bring it to me when you're done. I got to get back in there"

Tinsley headed back inside the diner. She went to the bathroom to wash her hands and caught herself checking her hair and makeup. Her strawberry blonde hair was pulled on top of her head in a pineapple bun and her makeup looked as if she had just put on. She had taken extra time this morning applying makeup just because he felt like it and good thing she did. The cat eye and nude eyeshadow combination she had chosen really made her green eyes pop. Tinsley had been told all her life that her eyes were the prettiest and greenest anyone had ever seen.

"What am I'm doing? If not like I'm trying to impress this guy or anything" she thought to herself.

After checking her hair and makeup once more, she walked out of the bathroom and continued checking on all her tables and bussing the ones that needed cleared. When that was done, she went over to the table that Jax, Opie, and Juice had sat down at.

"What can I get y'all to drink" she asked them

"Coke" said Jax

"Dr. Pepper" said Juice

"Orange Juice" said Opie

"Ok, I'll be right back with those drinks and while I'm gone, y'all can decide what y'all want to eat" said Tinsley as she walked away swaying her hips just the slightest.

When Tinsley returned with the drinks, the 3 ordered their food. All 3 ordered 2 eggs over easy, with bacon and toast, with grape jam on the side.

After about 15 minutes, the cook had their order ready. Tinsley walked it over to the table and gave them their food. She didn't know why but she wanted to know more about these guys. For some reason they intrigued her.

"So what are y'all up today? Causing all kinds mayhem?" Said Tinsley.

"Why don't you come by Teller-Morrow after you get off and find out" said Jax.

Tinsley knew the reputation Jax had. He was the definition of "Ladies Man". She was pretty sure if you looked the term up in the dictionary, it would show Jax's picture. And boy what a pretty picture it would be. Again, the man could have made Michelangelo weep. He's that fine!

"I don't know if that's such a good idea. Wouldn't want to interfere in your work day" said Tinsley.

"Sweetheart, you wouldn't be interfering. What time do you get off? Come on by" said Jax.

"Ok, I'll think about it" said Tinsley as she walked off, again, swaying her hips a little as she did. She knew all 3 guys would be checking her ass out. I mean come on, they are men and they are going to look. And not to toot her own horn or anything, but she thought she had a pretty great ass.

As Tinsley continued to check on her remaining tables, Jax, Opie, and Juice finished their meals left the diner, leaving a very generous tip of $15.

Just as Tinsley was about to start setting up the buffet for lunch, in walks a VERY hungover Willow.

"Can it Tins. I know I'm late, I know I look like shit, and I know the boss is going to be fucking pissed. Just let me get this coffee in me and I will help you set it up" said Willow who walked it looking like a cast member from The Walking Dead.

The Monday buffet was the same every week... spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, and garlic toast or beef tips with rice and gravy and chocolate cake. The owner, Mr Miles, was nothing if not predictable.

The lunch rush went off without a hitch and without much help from Willow who spent most of it in the bathroom because the smell of the meat and gravy made her nauseous.

"I'm telling you, you better take a pregnancy test..." Tinsley said jokingly

"That ain't even remotely funny Tins. One has to be getting laid to get pregnant and believe me, I'm not getting laid! I haven't even seen a dick in 2 months.. not since that fucking asshat Josh left me with a $1700 MasterCard bill. Seriously , who spends $1700 on fucking fornite shit.. he's 32 years old for fucks sake" said Willow.

"It was just a joke girl, chill. Maybe you do need to get laid... maybe you wouldn't be so bitchy. Anyway, Josh was a douche bag, and you are better off without him. Let his mommy pay for his fort nite addiction" replied a laughing Tinsley.

"Oh yea, I forgot to tell you I waited on Jax, Opie, and Juice this morning. Jax invited me over to TM after my shift"

"Wait.. wait a damn minute. Jax, as in Jax Teller, invited to to hang out at TM? Girl that man is FINE with a capital damn F! I could drink his damn bath water" said Willow, practically yelling.

"I don't know if I want to go. I'm not looking for a boyfriend, hell, I ain't really looking for friends. Plus, you know his reputation. He's a man whore. I bet 2 out of every 3 girls that walks through these doors has slept with him. I couldn't help myself from flirting with him though" Tinsley replied.

"My advice, go hang out and have some fun. Tins, you been her for 4 months and you haven't even looked at a man twice! Go, flirt, have fun... and if you end up in bed, so be it. But if you do, please, please, please, give me all the juicy details" said Willow.

"I'll think about it" I replied"You do that" said Willow

As it neared 2pm, and all the work was done, Tinsley was still contemplating what to do. Did she want to go? Was it worth the risk? She couldn't deny that Jax Teller was fine as hell and it had been months since she had slept with anyone.Again, she didn't know why she was so hung up on Jax Teller. All she knew for sure was that she couldn't stop thinking about him.

At 2pm sharp, she walked out of Sunny Side Diner. "Screw it. I'm going. What's the worst that could happen? Good thing I wore my best jeans and my best bra.
