Chapter 39

I woke up as I heard my phone is ringing. I looked up and it's a call from Finn.

"You already awake?" Finn asked.

"Uh huh."

"Can you come to McKinley right now?" Finn asked.

"Yes." I'm yawning and hung up the phone.

I take a look at the clock and it's 10am. What the hell with Finn woke me up at this time in my day off.

I place my phone back on the side table. I close my eyes and fall asleep again. I'm so sleepy since I feel asleep at three am.

* 30 minutes later *

I shocked because my phone is ring again. I take it and answer the phone.

"Where the hell are you?" Finn's voice.

"Bed."

"I told you to come to McKinley right now!" Finn yelled over the phone.

"I swear if it's not really matters I will cut you off!" I yelled back and hung up the phone.

I groaned and sit up on my bed. I stand from my bed and walked to the bathroom to take a bath.

After that I changed my clothes into a mini skirt, a long sleeve and a black converse. I take my phone and walked out from my room. I looked around and seems like nobody is here.

I walked to the kitchen and looking for food but I only found some bread. Mom must be already went to her office and also Burt.

I walked out from kitchen but I saw one car key left. I looked at the outside and Burt's car is outside. Okay I cant take his car. I better take a walk or find a cab.

I looked the door and went out from my house. I take a look at the street to find a taxi until a taxi passed me.

"Taxi!" I yelled.

The taxi is finally stop. I entered the taxi to go to McKinley.

"William McKinley High School please." I said to the driver.

The driver nodded and start driving to McKinley. I looked at my phone and Finn is still cant stop calling me so I hung up his call.

20 minutes and I finally arrived in McKinley. I pay the taxi and went out from it. I entered McKinley and still my phone is still vibrating. What the hell, Finn.

I entered the choir room with Finn, Mercedes, Mike and Artie are in the front.

"You disturb my beautiful sleep, Finn Hudson." I glared at Finn.

"Who the hell is still sleeping at 11am? You!" Finn protest.

"Because you cant stop snooring last night and it made me awake until 3am!" I yelled at Finn.

"Why dont you just sleep in Kurt's room? So you wont hear my snooring voice?" Finn raised his eyebrows.

"Why should I? Why dont you?" I raised my eyebrows back.

"ENOUGH HUDSONS!" Artie yelled."E, you take the Rizzo part."

"What? Me? You guys wake me up only for some silly news like this?" I frowned.

"Unique's parents arent let her to take the Rizzo part. Grease is uncomplete without Rizzo." Mercedes said to me.

"Without an audition?" I raised my eyebrows.

"With an audition." Mike said.

"Alright." I nodded.

I looked around until I saw a wig and take it. I wear it and press a tape and music start playing.

I jump to a chair in the back row and still singing Rizzo's line.

"Some people are so touchy." I simply said and jump back to the front.

"Nobody can be bitch like Rizzo except me and..." I got cut off.

"Me, of course." A familiar girl walked in.

I turned face at the voice and Santana is walked in and smirked at me.

"Santana!" I yelled and hugged her.

"I miss you." Santana hugged me back.

"I miss you too. What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"To see Grease by New Directions and looking for Rizzo slot actually but you already got it." Santana said to me.

"We can share." I smirked at her.

"Share?" Sam frowned.

"Yes, Santana and I can be Rizzo. So both of us will be Rizzo." I said to the others.

"It's mean that I have to make out with thw two of you like that foursome date?" Sam frowned.

"No make out scene in between Rizzo and Kenickie." Finn said.

"Is there any empty slot for Danny or Kenickie? Wait I'd rather be Danny because I'm hot." A familiar husky voice.

I really know this voice. Oh hell to the no. No no fucking way. No Puck please just no.Mercedes looked at me and frowned.

I turned my face slowly and right there he is, Noah Puckerman. Smirked and walked into the choir room.

I hold Finn's hand hard. The others alumni start hugging him one by one. I keep avoid looking at his eyes or even make him notice me.

"Hey dude, how are you? How's New York? I went to New York last two weeks and stayed in Kurt's apartment." Finn asked Puck.

"Never been better. I'm moving to LA now. I heard from my lil bro that you guys having a school project about Grease so I decided to come here." Puck said to Finn.

"Thats good. LA? I went to LA and stayed with Emily and Mercedes for a week." Finn said.

"Thats cool, bro." Puck laughed."Hey E." Puck said to me.

"Hi." I simply said and move my place.

"Well let me introduce again the result. Brittany S. Well lets move to auditorium and have rehearsal there." Artie said.

I take Artie's wheelchair and pushing it for him to avoid Puck will catch me and force me to talk anything to him.

"You okay, E?" Artie asked.

"Santana take the full part of Rizzo. I cant do this." I said to Artie.

"Why?"

"Everything ruined since he comes and all I want to do only want to back to LA." I said.

"You cant run away from your problem. You take the second plot of Rizzo after she thinks she is pregnant." Artie said and pushing his wheelchair alone.

I keep standing frozen and hold my hand to hide my pain. Dont cry, E. Dont cry. You can do this.

"I know what you felt. Seeing someone who hurt you is right in front you and you havent forgive him yet and all you wanna do just dissapear." Blaine suddenly hold my hand.

"Blaine..."

"Kurt havent forgive me yet. I apologize for him more than thousand times but still no answers." Blaine said to me.

"We got the same problem at the same time, Blaine." I half smiled at Blaine.

"Yeah." Blaine simply nodded.

"Hey you both why still here? Come on, we start the rehearsal." Mercedes come to us.

"Like what I told you right?" I hugged Mercedes.

"Dont cry, Emily. Dont show your pain to him. Be cool. Act like you got a new boyfriend." Mercedes said to me.

I wipe my tears away until it nothing left. I let out a sigh and walked with Mercedes and she is still holding my hand. I really have to hide it. Hide my pain from anyone else.

"Everybody take one." Mike yelled.

"Hey you must be, Emily Hudson right? The captain of cheerios for last three years, won nationals three times and won the best of the best cheerleading squad. I'm Kitty Wilde and I'm glad that I met you here. I just wanna say that I adore you so much. I really want to be like you with blonde hair." A short blonde girl smiled at me.

"Woah thank you. I really appreciate that." I smiled back at her.

"You're beautiful and popular besides you can make one of the Puckerman down." She smiled at me.

"Patty Simcox!" Mike yelled.

"Alright, I have to go. Talk to you later." She gave me a hug and walked away.

"Such a creepy girl. Her dying smile is so ewwwh." Santana said to me.

"Haha she is cute." I chuckled.

"Cute? Ugh please I'd rather choose Stacey than her." Santana rolled her eyes and walked off.

I just lift my shoulder up and walked to the vanity mirror and sitting down on it. Cant imagine I'm in the same place with Puck now.

"Rizzo's wig." Stacey wear me a wig with black hair and walked off.

"My sister is always stupid." Sam rolled his eyes.

"You cant deny you love her, Sam. More than you love yourself. You will feel it when you both graduate and live in a different place like me and Finn." I said without looking at Sam.

"You okay?" Sam asked me.

"I dont know." I simply said.

"I swear I'm not the one who tell him and make him come here." Sam said.

"Who says that you did?" I frowned.

"Nobody actually." Sam said innocently.

"Sam you look like a gay with that hairstyle." I said to him.

"This is Kenickie's style." Sam plays with his hair.

"Do you want to know what is the real Kenickie hairstyle?" I asked Sam.

"Mohawk." I grinned at Sam.

"Puck......." Sam about to walked off and called Puck.

"You are fucking gay, Sam Evans!!!" I yelled and make the others turn their face at us and gasles.

"Hahaha idiot." I laughed so hard.

"I'll call him for you!" Sam said to me."Puck!" Sam called Puck and walked off.

"Good luck, E!" Sam yelled.

I'm still sitting down on the vanity mirror and playing with my nails until a shadow of someone come to me. God, really did that.

"Trouty mouth is really a gay?" Puck asked.

"It was my way to mocked him." I said without looking at him.

"How are you?"

"Good. I'm doing good. How about you?"

"Not really fine since you left me." He said.

"I heard you date someone else."

"Yes, dating that little nasty blonde girl named Kitty." Puck nodded.

"Just dont hurt her like the way you did to me."

"Emily, can you help me with my costume?" Stacey asked.

"Sure." I answer and walked off.

Leave Puck alone who is still standing there alone with his head down. Did he feel guilty? I dont know.

The Show Day

I walked in the hallways alone bring these costume for the show. The show will begin in couple minutes and I become one of the cast and helper.

"Emily!" A voice yelled.

I turned my face and see Kurt and Rachel is walking together in the hallways and smiling at me.

"Hey New York citizen." I chuckled.

"Hey LA celebrity." Kurt hugged me."I miss my step-sister so bad. I'm sorry about you and Puck."

"It's fine. He is here. I'm sorry about you and Blaine too." I halfsmiled at Kurt.

"Hey, how was your live in LA?" Rachel asked me.

"Good. At least I live in an apartment with Mercedes. Actually I dont want to come here but Mercedes force me to come so I did." I giggled."The others in the auditorium. Come on, we can check out the backstage." I said to them.

They nodded and we walked to the auditorium. Let Rachel and Kurt see the others especially Finn and Blaine.

"Guys look who came from New York to see us perform! Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel." I yelled.

"Hey you both." Mercedes come to them and hugged them.

"I have to go. Talk to you both later." I said to Kurt and Rachel.

"See you, E." Kurt said.

I give them a smile and keep walking to place this costume for the others. Santana already dressed up. She will take the first half of the story and then it turned into me.

"I cant believe that. I didnt eat anything but why this costume always didnt fit it me." A girl voice.

I look around to find that voice until I saw Marley and Tina is trying for a costume together.

"What happened?" I asked.

"My Sandy costume is getting smaller and smaller. I didnt eat anything. I eat same things everyday." Marley said.

"Let me see." I help Marley to fit her costume.

"I swear, first time I tried it, it was fit on me." Marley tried to fit the costume.

"You're not getting fatter. This costume getting smaller. Leave it." I said to Marley.

I checked the skirt for Sandy until I found someone changed the sewing of these skirt so Marley wont fit this skirt.

"What's wrong?" Tina asked me.

"Someone trapped Marley." I said to Tina."Stay here, I will try to find another costume for you." I said to Marley.

"Who the hell did that?" Tina frowned.

"I dont know, Tina. You sure you didnt do anything?" I said without looking at her.

"I swear I didnt do anything." Tina frowned.

"Guys get ready!" Mike yelled.

I let out a sigh and check out the Sandy's costume and find the another one that I think is bigger.

"Marley, try this one." I give another skirt to Marley.

"It's fits on me. Thanks, Emily." Marley smiled at me.

"It's okay I will fix this one." I said to her.

"Guys take one in five minutes!" Mike yelled.

I walked to another place to find any kind sewing kit to fix this skirt. I opened the drawer of vanity mirror and found a box with sewing kit in it. Someone need to stop doing this.

Suddenly someone sitting down next to me with a heavy breath and look pale.

"You okay?" I asked him.

"Just got a little bit headache since this is my first show and I need to remember the script." He nodded.

"You must be Puck's brother right?"

"Yeah I'm Jake. I'm his half-brother. I know you are his ex, he told me about you." He said.

"Drink this." I take a mint candy from my pocket and give it to him.

"A candy?" He frowned.

"Sometimes a candy can clear your pain." I simply said.

"About Puck and Kitty. They are...."

"Its done! Marley can wear this again." I mumbled."Wait, did you wanna say something?" I turned my face at him.

"No. No. Thank you for this." He halfsmiled at me.

"You're welcome." I smiled at him and walked off to Marley's place.

The show is already begin. Next one is the boys and the girls performing Summer Nights. I'm alone here and on the other side there is Puck who also is alone.

"How could Rachel and Kurt came here?" Finn asked.

"I dont know maybe they took Lima express. Be cool, Finn." I said to Finn.

"Yeah this is my first show as the director so I have to be cool." Finn chuckled.

"Good luck." I smiled at him.

Finn walked again to control them from the left side of the stage. This little bit messy here so I decided to clean it up so make the others easy to find.

"Question of science. Scince and progress. Do not speak as loud as my heart." Mercedes singing while looking for something.

"Tell me you love me. Come back and haunt me oh when I rush to the start." I follow what she sang.

Mercedes turn her face at me and smile at me. "I heard you sang that song in your room and until now, it stuck in my mind."

"I love Coldplay and I love that song." I chuckled.

"You love Coldplay or the one who gave you the CD?" Mercedes smirked at me.

"You mean smirky? Hell no. I'm curious why he is so nice to you but he is so annoying to me." I rolled my eyes.

"Because he likes you." Mercedes laughed and walked off.

I just lift up my shoulder and go back clean this messy costume.

"E, your turn now." Santana walked in with the others.

"Blaine, its time for teen angel and after that Rizzo sing." Mike yelled.

"Alright." I take my costume and change it.

I can see that Puck and Kitty are kissing at each other. This is really make my heart got a heartache like really. I shouldnt see this or at least I have to be cool for today. Dont cry, Emily. Just dont.

"You think you can handle it? I mean this is a sad song." Sam said to me.

"I can use my fake sad face for this, Sam. Dont worry." I said without looked at him.

"Well good luck with that." Sam rubbed my hair and walked off.

I looked at myself in the mirror. It's done already. It's turn to perform my favorite song from Grease.

"Emily get ready!" Mike yelled.

I nodded and waiting for my turn. The curtain finally lift down. I walked to the stage to sing my favorite song. The curtain lift up again and music begin.

At the end of the song. I can see that someone is starring at me. Puck is standing on the right side of the stage. He looked at me with his sad face.

Clapping at the end of my performance. The curtain finally lift down again. I walked myself to the backstage. I still hold my pain and hide my cry feelings.

The shows is finally end. The others is busy with finding their stuff and clean this auditorium.

"We have to go." Kurt and Rachel said.

"I though you will stay for a night, Kurt. Surprise my mom and your dad." I said to Kurt.

"We will take the Lima Express to New York tonight. I will send you another vogue magazines." Kurt hugged.

"I wish I could take Lima Express to LA." I hugged Kurt back.

"I already booked two flights for us tomorrow morning, E." Mercedes said.

"You both can take LA Express to New York actually." Rachel giggled.

"I will visit you both someday when Mercedes get free time. Because she is always busy and all I can do only go to college and watching Tv all day." I chuckled.

"At least Mercedes has a housekeeper in her apartment not a lazy roommate." Kurt mocked Rachel.

"I'm not a housekeeper." I rolled my eyes.

"See you on Thanksgiving, girl. And Finn please tell dad to stop calling me. I'm not five years old boy anymore." Kurt sighed and walked off.

I wave them a goodbye and walked to the stage so I wont disturb the others. I still can see Puck and Kitty is still flirting at each other. I walked myself to the piano since nobody play it and Brad left it.

"Play it. I miss your voice." Blaine smiled at me.

"You were the one who usually love playing it, Blaine." I chuckled.

"Is Kurt already gone?" Blaine asked.

"Yes. So what song you want me to sing?" I asked Blaine.

"Up to you." Blaine smiled at me.

"Okay I will try this one." I nodded and start playing the piano.

Such a good liar, Emily. You know that you dedicated this song to Puck because you're sick to see him around you right now.

"We can leave this auditorium." Finn said to us.

I leave the piano and walked outside the auditorium. The light is already turning off.

"We need to talk." Someone catched my hand.

"There is nothing to talk, Noah."

"I know you dedicate that song for me. But please let me explain something to you." Puck hold my hand.

"That you were not cheating?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I know you so bad, Emily. You shared fake smiled to all of them. You hide your pain, you hide your tears alone. How many times you still want to ignore me? I send you thousand messages to forgive me but no one you answer!" Puck yelled.

"Because you dont deserve a forgiveness from me! Have you ever think about me? You broke your promise you made. I was wrong to trust you to trust all stupid words you said to me!" Tears slowly fall down to my face.

"I think about you! You think that I dont see you wear the necklace I gave you? You think that I dont know there is a teddy bear I gave you on your birthday in your room? I know I made a mistake. I know it was stupid because no one remind me to be a good guy like you did everyday to me. I'm sick without you, I'm lost without you!"

"L-let me go, Noah." I cried and turn my face.

"I apologize for everything I have done. I was out of control. I never mean to broke my promise, I never mean to hurt you." Puck said little bit calm."I LOVE YOU, EMILY! There I said it. Is that what you want? Baby, I miss you and I want you back into my arm!" Puck yelled.

"ENOUGH, PUCK! I HATE YOU!" I yelled.

Tears still fall down on my face. I could feel that the others is looking at us right now. I dont have any guts to face him or the others. I still let my head down and crying until Puck pushed my hand slowly.

I keep standing frozen until someone wrap my shoulder with his hand and let me walked away. I take a look a bit and Sam is the one who comfort me and bring me to his car until Finn follow us. I just wanna go back to LA right now and forget everything here.

** Author's P.O.V **

"Noah?" Kitty gasped about the things Puck said to Emily.

Puck didnt say anything and still look pissed off about what just happened. He feel guilty because he made Emily cry again.

"Noah answer me!" Kitty yelled.

"We are over!" Puck yelled back at Kitty.

He looked angry and punched a wall in front of him until Jake stops him. Kitty frowned and walked away leave Jake and Puck. The others also walked away exclude Mercedes.

"You need to give her a time, Puck. It's hard to see her lock herself after you both broke up. Love will find a way. I'm sure she is still in love with you but give her a time." Mercedes said to Puck and walked off.

"Come on, bro. She is right. You need to give her a time. Prove her that you could be a better man." Jake calm Puck down.

Puck simply nodded and walked off with Jake. Leave McKinley and went to somewhere.
