Act 3: Unaware Drunk

Jungwon waited for Heeseung at the edge of the lake, he stared at the forest hoping that the prince would come soon. "The sun set a few minutes ago, where is Prince Heeseung?" Ni-ki muttered who saw Jungwon from afar with his people. "Don't worry, Mr.Ni-ki, I'm sure he will come soon," said someone next to Ni-ki, "That's right, after all he never wants to disappoint Prince Jungwon," said another. Ni-ki nodded in response to the two people, but still he can't calm.

Jungwon still stared at the forest in front of him, "Maybe he won't come today..." He muttered looking at the ground below him.

Just as he was about to turn around, he heard the sound of horseshoes running towards him. Jungwon's smile widened when he saw the prince he was waiting for, "Heeseung," Jungwon called, "Sorry I'm late..." Heeseung said stopping his horse, "I had to take a little detour," said Heeseung as he got off his horse. Jungwon chuckled then approached Heeseung, "No proble—" Jungwon's sentence was cut off when he saw a bouquet of orange marigold flowers in Heeseung's hand, flowers that only grew in his former kingdom, Chaconne.

"Heeseung, how—", "Well let's just say that my research to remove your curse took me to a kingdom that has a large flower field..." Heeseung explained as he shrugged his shoulders. Jungwon was speechless, seeing the bouquet of marigold flowers made Jungwon remembering the times when his kingdom still stood beautifully and proudly, the shop buildings and settlements as well as the castle where he lived, all came back to Jungwon's memory.

Jungwon received the bouquet from Heeseung's hands, he looked at the bouquet of flowers and without realizing it, tears began to form and flow down his cheeks. "E–e Jungwon, why are you crying?" Heeseung asked panicked when he saw Jungwon start to sob, "N–no, I... I just remembered back when my kingdom was still standing..." Jungwon explained as he smiled at Heeseung, even though his tears were still flowing. The older held Jungwon's shoulder and wiped away the tears that were flowing down his cheeks, "Thank you, Heeseung," said Jungwon holding Heeseung's hand which was stroking his cheek, Heeseung smiled seeing the swan prince's smile.

The two princes then spent the night as usual.

"Oh I just remembered," said Heeseung stop walking, Jungwon looked at him. "I can't come here at sunset, the royal horse keeper said he would do hoof care, so I can't use my horse later," Heeseung explained, Jungwon nodded, "It's not a problem, Heeseung, I know enough that this forest is not for usual walking," replied Jungwon, Heeseung chuckled.

Jungwon then saw the shadow of the tree starting to extend towards the west. "So, I'll see you tomorrow night?" Jungwon asked, looking back at Heeseung, Heeseung smiled, "Yeah, see you tomorrow," replied Heeseung before kissing Jungwon's lips, "I will always wait for you," said Jungwon before leaving to go to where Ni-ki and his subjects were.

Heeseung arrived at his palace stables and saw Soobin already preparing equipment for trimming the horses' hooves. "Thanks for your hard work," said Heeseung, leading his horse to Soobin and handing the rope to the stable keeper, "What about your sweetheart?" Soobin teased grinning, Heeseung rolled his eyes while smiling, "Luckily he didn't mind it," Heeseung replied, But I did mind it.... Heeseung thought. Soobin could see Heeseung's dissatisfied expression, he chuckled, "I'll find a way for you to meet your sweetheart, but don't get your hopes up," Soobin suggested. Hearing that, the eldest prince immediately turned to Soobin with a big smile, "Really? Thank you, Soobin–ssi," said Heeseung, Soobin smiled before leaving on Heeseung's horse. What a young love, thought Soobin smiling.

Heeseung climbed the rope to his room. However, the prince was immediately surprised when he entered his room, "Jay!" he shouted. The youngest, who was asleep, immediately woke up when he heard his older brother's screams, followed by Sunghoon who was sleeping next to him.

Jay and Sunghoon were now sitting on the floor of Heeseung's room, both of their bodies covered only by a blanket, with Heeseung sitting in his chair in front of them with disbelief.

Heeseung let out a heavy sigh from his nose, "I don't even know where to start..." Heeseung said looking at the two of them, "Um... maybe I can tell you a little about it?" Sunghoon suggested, Heeseung rubbed his temple, "Go on," Heeseung replied without removing his hand.

"Em, so last night Jay had the idea to visit a tavern that had just opened in the village and I think we lose track on how many alcohol we drank and get drunk," Sunghoon explained, "You think?" Heeseung replied, Sunghoon laughed awkwardly. "And then?" Heeseung asked, "That's it It's a bit blurry for me, but I'm sure Jay confessed his feelings to me and in the end we did... you know..." Sunghoon said hesitant to continue the story, "And you guys did it in my room?" Heeseung asked folding his arms, "I–I I think we were drunk enough that we didn't realize we had entered the wrong room," Sunghoon answered, Heeseung sighed, "Fair," Heeseung said knowing he would probably do the same thing if he were drunk. "I hope you guys don't leave stains on my bed," he said Heeseung, "Oh don't worry, prince Heeseung, I've made sure that we leave your bed spotless," explained Sunghoon, reassuring Heeseung, "A huh, yeah sure," Heeseung didn't believe it.

Heeseung then let Sunghoon go home with Jay before he talked to him.

"Well, I've checked my bed, and yes you guys left it spotless, magically..." Heeseung said when Jay had returned to his room. Jay was just silent, even during his trip with Sunghoon, he didn't talk much. "You didn't confess your love, right?" Heeseung asked folding his arms, Jay immediately looked up at his brother's question, "Ho–how did you—", "You've been quiet since I saw you, you even let Sunghoon explain everything," explained Heeseung as he sat on his bed, Jay looked down after hearing Heeseung explained.

"What happened?" Heeseung asked while patting the space next to him, asking Jay to sit down, the youngest complied, "I... assaulted him," Jay answered, "Elaborate?" Heeseung asked. "When we were at the tavern, I drank too much and got wasted, I don't really remember what happened after that, but when we arrived at your room, my body heated up and what I then remembered, Sunghoon was panting under me with a red face, unfortunately my consciousness wasn't enough for me to stop my desire and we continue did it until we ended up falling asleep in your bed," explained Jay.

Heeseung was actually a little surprised to hear Jay's side of the story, "Huh, didn't know you had it in you, or in this case, you inside Sunghoon, hm?" Heeseung said trying to lighten the atmosphere, "Hyung..." Jay said looking at Heeseung with sad eyes, Heeseung then coughed, "Sorry," said Heeseung.

"But Sunghoon said you confessed your love to him, and according to his side of the story he was tipsy enough to be able to take you to my room, I'm sure you confessed your feelings at one point, but you didn't know it," Heeseung said trying to comfort his little brother, " Do you think so?" Jay asked, Heeseung nodded. "Come on, you're a timid virgin who would never have sex without consent," Heeseung teased, embracing Jay, "Hey!" Jay replied offendedly, "But thanks hyung, that's quite helpful," said Jay.

"You know, to calm your heart even more, how about you officially confess your feelings to Sunghoon at your birthday ball?" Heeseung suggested, "My birthday ball?" Jay asked confused, "Duh? Your birthday is in a week, I'm sure papa will be happy for you to propose to Sunghoon at your birthday ball," replied Heeseung. Jay thought for a moment, "I think you have a point, and maybe you can bring your secret lover and introduce him to dad and papa," he suggested. Heeseung thought for a moment, "Huh, not a bad idea, I'll try inviting him next time we meet," said Heeseung.

"Oh, before I forget, papa is looking for you," said Jay before leaving his brother's room. Hearing that, Heeseung swallowed heavily.

The sun just getting higher.

"Hoho..." Sunoo muttered.

Sunoo then stood up from his lotus position, "Where are you going?" Jake asked seeing his brother move from his position, "You want to come? I found something interesting," Sunoo said grinning.

Yongbok was writing the results of his research to help Heeseung onto several sheets of paper, "Who would have thought, the solution was this simple..." Yongbok muttered looking at the papers on his desk before copying them onto a roll of paper.

The sorcerer then went to his bedroom window and whistled for something. Instantly, a yellow canary flew and landed into Yongbok's hand. "Bokkari, take this to the Dark Moon palace and give it to prince Heeseung, understand?" Yongbok asked as he put the roll of paper into the backpack on the back of the canary he called Bokkari. Bokkari nodded before flying towards the Dark Moon palace.

"He... you work hard huh...."

Yongbok immediately turned towards the source of the voice, his eyes widened when he saw who was speaking, "Jake..." Yongbok muttered when he saw the dark sorcerer standing next to his desk and looking at his research papers.

"Yongbok–ssi, long time no see... you look healthy," said Jake turning towards Yongbok. The sorcerer didn't reply, he just looked at Jake with angry eyes.

"Hey, don't look at me like that, we haven't seen each other for long time, don't you miss your old student?" Jake asked grinning as he opened his arms. "Don't call yourself my student, I've disowned you just so you know..." Yongbok said with His deep voice, heard that, Jake just laughed, "Ouch, my heart hurts," said Jake while holding his left chest before grinning, "Hah... boring..." said Jake before sitting in Yongbok's chair.

"How did you know my location?" Yongbok asked still in his low voice, Jake didn't answer, he just smiled, before, "Hey hyung! Would you like some coffee?! I think Yongbok–ssi makes a lot— oh, hello Yongbok–ssi," said Sunoo entering Yongbok's room with two glasses of coffee in his hand.

"Yongbok-ssi, you remember my little brother, right? Sunoo? Your former student too?" Jake asked as he approached Sunoo while taking one of the coffee cups in his hand then take a sip, Nice coffee.

"Sunoo has mastered spy magic, so I'm sure you already know how we found your location," explained Jake. Yongbok fell silent then remembered when Heeseung visited him, "So you were stalking the prince, huh? Stalker?" Said Yongbok, "Why thank you, I appreciate it," said Sunoo blushing, Jake chuckled.

"By the way, I found something interesting on your desk," said Jake, taking one of the papers on Yongbok's desk. "Heaven's Canyon, try explaining it to me," Jake asked while showing the paper showing the location of a canyon not far from the Chaconne Ruins. Yongbok was surprised to see the paper, but he didn't show it, "You expect me to give you information?" Yongbok asked, Jake laughing, "Oh you misunderstood, Yongbok–ssi," Jake said approaching Yongbok, "You didn't have a choice," Jake said. in a deep voice.

Instantly Yongbok's eyes widened, he then looked down and saw that Jake had injected anesthetic poison into his waist. Not long after, Yongbok lay on the floor unconcious.
