Lisie felt eyes were following her as she makes her way following Saint to their car by her hotel's parking area.
Now that everyone's eyes are on Princetown's casts they're all wary of everything they'll do and everything they did.
That's right, her past was now catching up with her present. Because she's new in the actress' category, people just can't help but dig up every information of her in social media including the one she tweeted about Tait when she was sixteen years old.
"Hey Lis it must be awkward to work with your crush now that he's confirmed he's dating his long time friend, Jane Kennedy!"
A paparazzi commented as Lis gets in the back seat. She turned to him and gave him a firm smile instead of completely ignoring him.
When Saint started the engine, her phone rang showing Jane's number.
"So you have a crush on my brother," Lis pursed her lip at her greeting.
"And you're his girlfriend," Lis rolled her eyes. The news about Tait and Jane being a couple were all over twitter the same as her teenage crush for the guy.
"Oh don't get jealous. He always does that to get away from his psycho exes. Although this is the first time I ended up in the tabloids. Wow, he must be really guarded with you to publicize this huh?"
"That's not true. He's just really mean and I'm so not jealous. I'm not interested with your brother's love life anyway."
"Yeah, me too. That's why I'm more interested in yours," she giggled.
"I was practically a baby when I tweeted that!"
"Well I have to say I got to agree with what you said. Tait was really cute in 2013. Although what you said next was really thirsty. Never thought your wild side would turn up in that age, not surprised though."
Lis was embarrassed of her past self. She tweeted a photo of Tait in a sleeveless shirt with the caption:
Cutie. Do I ever get a chance to lick the tan off this guy 😋 #yum

It was really a bad idea to keep her old twitter account in public. She has a private account but she rarely uses that.
"He was always so innocent and pure...then all of that changed when that bitch came to his life," Jane continued emphasizing on the profanity.
"Jane," Lis sighed, "please tell me you're not... one of those shippers."
"And why shouldn't I be?"
"Oh god. I'm hanging up."
Jane was cackling on the other line teasing her new friend. "I like you Lis and honestly I do like you for my brother. It's weird I know but... better you than anybody else. Well, I want you personally for business and a friend but you're not so bad to be family as well."
"Am I making you blush?" Jane giggled.
"You're making me vomit. If you see how my time with your brother went at the screen test you'll understand what I mean."
"Well, a girl can dream."
Lisie only shook her head. It was impossible what she wants. She and Tait are just too different to be in that kind of relationship.
"Sorry but, it's not gonna happen," Lis stood her ground. She felt relieved when she heard Jane sigh. Maybe she's finally understanding why their ship is all but real.
"Okay, I'll have to yield for now. But you know you're always allowed to lick him haha~"
"Jane, that's your brother!" Lis yelled in the car startling her driver, her face heated in shame.
"Good luck on your first day dear Lis, I really just called to remind you of our little party this weekend, bye, kisses~"
"Bye"
Lis sighed when her eyes darted on the rear mirror she saw Saint smiling at her.
"What?" She frowned at him.
"It's going to be an interesting day."
When Lis arrived on set the make up department wasted no time working on her face. The crew had them food ready but Lis had already eaten at home even before coming to set.
"I'll take a bite after a few scenes."
"Miss Kennedy has told me she's dropping by at lunch later." The stylist, Fiona, said looking at her like she's fishing for juicy gossip.
"Er, that's great. I talked to her earlier maybe she forgot to mention that."
"Oh, you two are close?"
Lisie hesitated, she wanted to be friendly but she also didn't want to comment anything more what with tabloids hot on her. And if the siblings want to have a low profile about their relationship then it's not her business to blabber about it to people.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Oh it's just...you know the talks today about her and Tait."
"Oh that..." Lisie confirmed Fiona didn't know the real relationship the two have.
"Well, can't two girls be friends?" Lis flashed her Barbie smile.
Fiona looked stricken when she did that.
And to test if she'll gossip around, Lis added, "or lovers?"
The stylist dropped her jaw when Lis winked at her.
It was that moment when Jeremy Cross knocked and entered her make up room.
"Hey I'm looking for the hottest model in Star Avenue would you happen to know where she is?" He smirked looking at Lis with mischief in his eyes.
"I believe you picked the wrong door." Lis smiled making Fiona giggle and after a few, excused herself to leave the two actors alone.
"Oh come on, is there someone else here hotter than you?" Jeremy pushed.
Lisie shrugged, "Jeremy Cross?"
"See, this is why I like you! I didn't get to introduce myself last time," Jeremy offered his hand. "I'm Jim."
"Lis," she took his hand and shook it. Jim did a one over on her outfit smiling in satisfaction. Lis almost nudged him on the chest. She was wearing a dreamy Louis Vuitton velvet long dress with a Balmain trimmed cardigan and her hair is styled in a half ponytail. Her first scene was interesting because she'll be acting alongside that dude. She didn't want to think about him for now.
"Wow, the eyes are really...unsettling..." Jim commented on her baby blue contacts.
"Do they let you keep your natural eye color?" She asked him noticing Jim's rich brown eyes.
Jim nodded, "except whenever I get over emotional I get to wear the maroon ones which are super uncomfortable to wear by the way. It covers the whole eyes." Jim narrated talking about his character.
"Ugh...even the white part?"
"Even the white part."
"Now that's scary." Lis said with a disgusted look.
"You're on after a while right?" He asked and they both looked at the wall clock.
"45 minutes to be exact."
"Want to see the set? Trust me it's bigger than 2 shopping malls combined."
"Is this like your job- to tour newbies around?" Lis joked but she was already heading outside wanting so much to take the tour.
"Hmm...can't I be nice to my costars?"
"Oh so you're always nice. That's your "personality."
Jim laughed his hearty laugh that made Lis comfortable around him. She thinks it's good to have someone like him be this accommodating. Usually, people from the A-list don't get themselves involve with other people who are not on the same level as them. Take for example her model "friends." When she was new it was like war backstage at every fashion show but thankfully she met Jinny, the only friend she can trust in the modeling industry.
"Trust me, you'll feel a whole lot better when you see the sets."
So she was really grateful for people like Jim. He's too friendly she almost forgot this guy's Tait Kingston's best bro.
"Well, I'll expect the best from you. Come on let's go."
The two visited the set of Horvathe, the bad guys' lair first. It was dark and eerie in there but the actors who finished their scenes were warm and welcoming. Jim looked really cool when he managed to converse with everyone like they've been friends for a long time; even throwing banters with the senior actors around.
They stopped by Molieve next, a set where female monks live in Princetown. The temple in the middle of nature was inspired from Japanese temples. It was overwhelming for Lisie to step inside the production because it looks too real she even got chills.
One female B-list actress greeted them both with a friendly smile. Lisie recognized her as Sheena Yen. Sheena came to fame for getting a role in a blockbuster movie. She was younger than her so Lis thinks she's cute.
"It was really great to meet you."
"Me too! Wow, your outfit is amazing."
Lisie was almost convinced Sheena could be a great friend but she caught her giving her a stink eye in a brief second.
"Jim it's so nice of you to tour her around!" She said excitedly moving in between them. "Come on, I want to show you something."
Sheena pulled Jim's arm shoving Lisie's shoulder on the way. "Oops, my bad!"
Jim looked at her apologetically going along with Sheena wherever she wanted to go.
Lisie shook her head thinking that maybe the two of them are secretly dating because it's a thing in Star Avenue. It's like when singers Jen Song and Kyle was publicly seen dating, everyone was shocked because they thought it was Mino that Jen Song liked.
You cannot really judge anyone based on what you see. It takes a lot more than that to know the truth...
It was fortunate that Lisie's sense of direction is good because she knew the way to go back even without Jim. Somehow while she makes her way back to her dressing room her thoughts went flying in her costar's direction. The last time they talked she didn't like how he behaved.
"But that was totally offcam," she muttered to herself. "I'm sure he's different when the cameras start rolling."
When Lisie heard some scuffle on the way she looked where the noise was coming from and found everyone busy working at The Library set.
She thought about what she remembers about the Library in the story. It was where the members of the assassin coven meet, interrogate and sometimes silence their enemies.
It was one of the most anticipated sets in this film.
"Okay, settle down everyone and 3, 2, 1 action," director called.
Lisie's breath hitched when she saw that one of the actors present was none other than Tait Kingston himself.
It was hard to believe that just a few minutes ago the people were in a frenzy and in just a snap everyone turns quiet.
"Lisie, thank god you're here. Director was looking for you awhile ago," Fiona whispered. "I think you're on after Kingston."
"Yeah, I'm not late am I?"
"No, you're actually early."
Lisie nodded not taking her eyes off the actors acting their scene in front of her. She was being aware of Fiona looking at her. Maybe the stylist was trying to make conversation but seeing that she's focused on the scene before them did not bother to speak at all.
When Tait's Abe Anerky delivered his lines, Lisie thought the man she met that day was too far gone. He looks the same except for the eyes that were almost the same color as hers.
"Should I be impressed of that homicide? You tell me." Abe said in a suave voice playing a gold plated derringer between his fingers. He was slouched on his armchair with both feet on his table. On the surface he was harmless minus the handgun but they all know this was a dangerous time to provoke him.
This was a scene where Abe was reprimanding his men because of a mistake they did in a middle of an ambush. He was angry that there were innocent people killed and now he was thinking of ways to calm his nerves.
"B-but sir, had we arrived earlier a lot of our men would...die..."
"Then you should have died then."
And like most mafia movies, Abe Anerky doesn't blink when he pulls the trigger. The blood props from the two actors splattered back to Abe getting his immaculately white Armani polo stained with blood spots.
The shot continues while Abe kept his stoic face even when his butler came in the room and told him...
"Miss Vaia is here to see you, young master."
Lisie gulped seeing this scene before her. Her heart raced when a smirk broke on Abe's lips. "How is she Gareth? Did she change at all?"
The butler offered a towel to him which he used to wipe some blood on his face.
"She did."
"Still beautiful I hope?"
"Even more like a goddess."
"Serve her the most delicious French tart while I get ready." He said as he heads towards the "secret" door. "Oh and Gareth...please don't ask the maids to clean this room. It's a bit dirty."
After that line, the director yells cut.
"Good take!"
"Now let's have another one, ready Tait?"
"Yep!"
Lisie's mouth formed and "o" shape when she saw him get back with a new clean and crisp long sleeve polo shirt. Then his assistant was following him with two more shirts on hand.
Another take and Tait made it without making any mistake.
"Did he really take a break in acting?" Lisie heard one of the assistants say.
"Maybe not..."
"I could understand why Moore was thirsty for him. Did you see her tweet? She doesn't even compare to the classy girls he actually dates." The other giggled.
"She's so cute thinking like that. She's only a teenager then I wouldn't take it out on her."
"Can I be honest, I don't think she has good chemistry with Tait compared to his other costars."
"Well I disagree, I bet after this movie, they'll eventually fall in love."
"I don't know about that but they'll definitely hook up...that's how he is with them..."
Lisie was too occupied with the conversation that she didn't notice Tait was standing behind her. Fiona noticed him but he gestured his hand for her to stay quiet.
Fiona pursed her lips and stepped backwards as Tait covers Lisie's eyes with one hand.
"Guess who, baby doll." He whispered on her ear his lips almost touching it.
Lisie knew it was him but she was surprised by Tait's action she forgot how to respond for a second. And because his other hand made its way to her waist, she recovered and pulled his hand that was on her eyes to twist it behind his back.
"Don't call me baby doll," She said stating Vaia's lines. They were almost hugging because she kept her hand on his wrist that was twisted on his back. She could feel him trying to get off her hold but when he did that she only pulled tighter.
"Ow, ow, ow" Tait yelped helplessly making the staff laugh at their playful interaction. "You're being totally unfair. I don't remember Vaia doing an arm lock after that line!"
The two women who Lisie were eavesdropping on were now taking pictures of them.
"Didn't know Abe Anerky couldn't handle a simple arm control...," she laughs diabolically enjoying his torment. Now that he's struggling she sees the real Tait Kingston behind the character.
"I concede!" He surrendered.
Lis finally lets him go relieving Tait of his misery. He massaged his arm and gave her a look. "I was being friendly you know."
"Stop being nice to me. It's not cute." She said with a smirk remembering his behavior last time. Fiona went up to her and told her she needs to reapply some make-up. She nodded and followed her stylist but Tait wasn't done with her.
"So how're you preparing for our scene? You want to run some lines or something?" He asked hopefully matching her pace. Lisie tried to ignore him but she couldn't help but notice his muscles beneath his fresh clothes. He was now wearing a beige fleece sweater.
Lis frowned and turned slowly to face him completely. She raised an eyebrow then she caught some people looking at them. Tait noticed them too and paced closer to her. "Don't mind them, they're not the star of this film. We are." He shrugged.
Lis continued to give him a questionable look.
"What?"
She shrugged and crossed her arms. "I think I'm good, thanks. Let's just run our lines on camera during the rehearsal." He was being nice, so she should be too.
"Yeah? Well, okay then." He nodded pursing his lips like he wanted to say more but stopped himself. "I'll see you on set. And welcome to Princetown, Lily."
"Lily?" Lis snapped at him.
"You don't want to be called baby doll," He winked walking backwards to the set making her heart flutter. She bit her lip to keep from smiling.
Lisie turned to Fiona who was looking at her giddily.
"You're blushing..." Fiona giggled.
"It's you know... just really hot here." Lisie excused herself walking in front of her stylist.
"I'm boarding the ship now."
"Ugh."
It didn't take a long time before the rehearsal starts, the director was very particular about them delivering their lines because just like Tait's scene earlier, their scene will be shot in one continuous take.
When both of them got properly instructed, the director told them a useful tip that actors should be able to pull off with takes like these.
"If you forget some lines, you can always ad lib," director shrugged.
Tait gave him an okay sign while she nodded without hesitations.
"You guys ready?"
"Yeah, lezz get it!" Lisie giggled like a child. When she looked at Tait, he was smiling at her. She ignored him and got into position. They were in Abe's study in the Gauthier manor. In the story, it's where they both see each other for the first time after five years.
"Alright. Rolling! And 3, 2, 1..."
Lisie slowly breathed in and out then turned her back on the camera while Tait gets ready at the other side of the door.
"Action!"
The doorknob twisted and enters Abe Anerky seeing the back of Vaia Winter's slim figure.
"Thought I was supposed to see you in your 21st birthday. This is a surprise." Abe delivered the first line.
Vaia slowly and gracefully turned to face him and answered. "I have to make sure it's really you." She tilted her head to the side scrutinizing him, her face aloof and serious.
"How's that working for you?" Abe asked pouring his glass with strong whiskey.
In the story Abe was sent to a special camp just like where his cousins went to to learn about their empire's business. But it wasn't really "business" that got them busy for five years. It was the other family business that involves secret missions and guns. Lots of guns.
"Needless to say but I think you're still..."
"Handsome?"
"Weird."
Abe scoffed and settled his drink on the coffee table. He started making his way to her getting the space between them smaller and smaller.
"And you're still you," Abe breathed making Lisie notice the mint smell on his mouth. She tried hard not to break their eye contact especially when his hands cornered her on the edge of the table.
"Beautiful, gorgeous, unfriendly baby doll," Abe smirked their lips only an inch apart. Vaia trembled with the emotions she felt and by now she was definitely sure he was the real Abe Anerky.
"You are Abe," she whispered.
"Where did you think I go? The marines?" He laughed pulling himself off her to pour his glass one more time.
"There were rumors going on about your family. Especially about the camp. Apparently they said it's not an ordinary camp. They said it's a test of strength and ability. That if you fail, death is guaranteed and a carbon will take the replacement"
Abe's face turned still even before he could take a sip of his drink. Because some of his battle scars are still fresh from it.
"Nonsense," he muttered flatly.
"Is it? I think that can be possible, your family can do everything. Even replace you."
Abe balled his fist inside his pockets. His jaw hardened but he chose to suppress his emotions because she was again...right.
"Shouldn't we talk about the wedding instead?"
"Why change the subject with a boring one?"
Abe smirked and found something that can possibly tilt his fiancee.
"Remember what I said when we were teens..."
Lisie suddenly felt weird for she couldn't remember her next line.
"I promised you something..." Abe raised an eyebrow. Tait knew she forgot her line.
Lisie almost sighed in relief but she was still in character.
"You know that even then I wasn't very fond of you. How could I remember such thing?" She said turning her back on him. She turned her attention on the view by his window instead. Vaia was clearly not a fan of this arranged marriage. It's not that she likes someone else, it's that she didn't want her life choices dictated for her.
"Then I'd gladly help you out."
"No need for th-"
Abe cut her off by hugging her from the back.
"I said I promised to only love one girl and that if you say yes to me, I'm for you til the end." Abe successfully got her to stop inquiring about the past.
Vaia stayed quiet for a moment even when his lips were slowly descending on her neck.
"I don't love you."
Abe wasn't surprised. He knew that but Tait also knew how loud Lisie's heart was beating.
"Whatever you say, baby doll." He said holding her tighter.
And with Lisie's first ad lib, she ended the scene with...
"Don't call me that or I'll have you replaced."
"Cut!"
To be continued...
