Chapter 2

18:38, 8 March 2022

The room we walked into was definitely something. Along the walls there were different paintings of different heroes, throughout time. On one of the walls I saw twelve people I knew. They were all paintings and were moving ever so slightly. They were smiling at the camera as if it was a live photo. The first one was of me. Yes, I was hanging there on the wall, with my seagreen eyes and my sheepishly smile. Next to me was a painting of Annabeth. Her gray eyes held a sparkle and she looked determined into the camera, and looked like she just got an idea. Which she probably would have if she wasn't a painting. Next to her were a painting of Jason, after him came Piper, then Leo, Frank and Hazel. After Hazel was a painting of Nico and next to him.. I smiled slightly at the faces. Silena Beauregard, Charles Beckendorf, Zoë Nightshade and Luke Castellan. Gods, I missed them. They looked so.. alive hanging there on the walls, like they were actually in the room. I focused on following Chaos, and followed him over to the middle of the room. He turned around to face me.

"Okay, so you'll get immortality, and you get one wish. I can't make people appear or anything. I can give you the power you've always wanted, but I can't do something for others." He explained. I nodded in understanding. "Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yes, I am." I mentally prepared myself for getting immortality.

"This might hurt. It varies from person to person." He touched my forehead with his index finger, and a sharp pain shot through my head. I squeezed my mouth together, and killed a scream. As fast as the pain had appeared, just as fast it had disappeared. "Now. Your wish?" I looked up at him with a pearl of sweat trickling down my temple.

"Uh.." What did I want? I could get almost anything. But what did I want? Sure I could wish for anything, but what could come in handy? Wings? Control over the elements? No. What was I bad at? Well, there was the one with sacrificing myself for my friends if it meant the world's ending. Could I get rid of my fatal flaw? "Just a question.." I said.

"Yes?"

"Can you get rid of my fatal flaw?" I asked curiously.

"Well, yes, if that's your wish?" He smiled at me.

"No, it's not my wish, I was just asking." So I could get rid of my fatal flaw. But I was also really bad with a bow and arrow.. My eyes lit up as I knew what my wish was.

"I suppose that look on your face indicates that you've found your wish?" Chaos asked. I nodded.

"Yes, I wish to be able to use any weapon. Bows and arrows, every weapon to ever exist." I said.

"Very well." He raised his hand in front of my heart and waved it quickly, and a small light came out of his fingers and shot into my chest. "There you go. Every weapon is your speciality." He said and smiled down at me.

"Thank you." I smiled up at him.

"Now, I believe we have to find some proper clothes for you. We can't have an assassin run around in an orange shirt, saying where you're from." He gestured to my Camp Half-Blood t-shirt.

"Oh, yeah." He snapped his fingers and suddenly we were in another room. I looked around and saw.. absolutely nothing. We were in a room that looked like the throne room, but just a little bit smaller. And the funny thing was, there was only one stool in the middle of the room.

"Uhm, where are we?" I asked as I looked around the bare room.

"Step up on the stool and stretch your arm out to the side." Chaos instructed, and leaned backwards in a sitting position. A chair appeared behind him, and he sat down. I did as he told me to, and walked up on the stool and spread my arms out. Suddenly an old looking woman appeared in front of me.

"What do we have here?" She mumbled to herself, and began inspecting my arms and legs and measured my body.

"Hannah, this is my new assassin, he'll need some proper clothes for the job. Do you think you can make some?" Chaos asked.

The woman named Hannah began laughing. "Me? Make clothes? Please! I can do so much more than that!" She said with her hands placed on her hips. Then she turned to me. I gulped at the look in her eyes. She looked like she was about to kill me. Which she probably was.

—In this time skip Chaos will tell a small story for you—

Chaos: So in the beginning there was nothing. But then BANG! Out of nowhere there was suddenly an alien! And- Wait. Why am I telling a story? This is the story of Percy Jackson.

Percy: Why are you interrupting my story, Chaos? *crosses arms*

Chaos: I was not! The author told me to tell a story! *pouts*

Percy: Whatever. *rolls eyes* HEY AUTHOR GET GOING WITH THE STORY!

—End of time skip—

About forty minutes later, and with hurting arms from keeping them outstretched, I was finally standing in my new clothes. I looked down and gasped. It was.. AMAZING! I had a hood on that hides my identity, Hannah told me that only I can pull it down, and that my face is cast in a shadow so no one can see who I am. I was wearing boots that had a pirate-ish style and gloves with my fingers free. It was a mixture of light brown and black-brown colors. And it looked amazing!

"Hannah, you have done it once again!" Chaos acknowledged. Hannah bowed and vanished into thin air.

"This is amazing!" I said and turned to Chaos. He laughed at me.

"Come on, let's find some weapons." He said and guided me out of the room.

Annabeth's POV: -Bet you didn't see that one coming

I watched as Percy walked into the tent, and smiled back at us, before disappearing completely. We stood in silence for about two minutes, before I chose to break the silence. Sure he would have come out by now.

"Percy?" I asked and stepped closer to the brown tent. I looked back at my friends, Piper shrugged and walked over to me.

"Percy, come out of there! I have a really bad feeling about this." Piper called out, I could hear she was using charmspeak. I looked worried at the door.

"Percy please-" I stopped talking as I watched the tent zoom into one point before disappearing. "Percy!" I ran over and reached out my arm to where the tent had been. I looked back at my friends with wide eyes, fighting the tears. Piper looked shocked at where the tent had just been.

"I-.. I think we should tell Chiron." She said quietly. I looked at the spot again and a tear crawled it's way down my cheek.

"Yeah." I whispered. Piper grabbed my wrist and slowly pulled me away. When I turned to look at the rest of my friends, they were staring in shock at the spot where the tent had been.

We ran through the woods and when we came out of them, I quickly looked around to see if Chiron was nearby. Of course he wasn't so I started to run to the Big House. I ran up to the Big House and quickly opened the door, and ran into the rec room. I saw the counselors of each cabin already sitting around the ping pong table. I saw Chiron sitting in his wheelchair at the end of the table with Rachel.

"Annabeth, are you okay?" Rachel stood up and looked at me with worry. I frowned and noticed tears were still crawling down my cheeks. I quickly wiped them away, and could hear the rest of the Seven arrive behind me.

"You look like you've seen a ghost." Clarisse pointed out.

"It's Percy." I said out of breath. Chiron looked at us with worry and a line between his brows. "We.. We went to check on what you were talking about at the west side of camp.." I started, and couldn't get myself to continue. Chiron looked at us with wide eyes.

"We arrived at a clearing." Piper continued. "And there was a random brown tent, which was weird. So Percy went over to check it out, and see if someone was in there." I stepped forward and continued.

"Suddenly the tent shrinked into nothing and disappeared, with Percy inside, and now he's just... gone." I said, tears started to pile up in my eyes. Chiron looked at us for a second, before dragging a hand across his face.

"You went to the woods, even though I had just told you not to?" He asked, showing no emotions on his face. It seemed like three gray hairs just appeared in his hair.

"Chiron I'm sorry, I should have said no, I should have stopped him! I should have just thought!" I said. Chiron looked at me with sorry eyes.

"I think.. The only thing we can do now, is to discuss where Percy is at. And call the gods." He stated. Every counselor nodded and I agreed. We had to find Percy. We had to go on a quest to find him. We had to send out groups to search for him.

"Rachel, do you have a prophecy or anything to add?" I turned hopefully to Rachel Elizabeth Dare.

She looked down and closed her eyes, but after a minute she opened them again and spoke, without green smoke coming out of her mouth. "I'm sorry Annabeth, but I can't seem to get anything from it." She apologized.

"It's okay." I whispered. "Maybe we should call a meeting with the gods, to discuss it?" I suggested quietly. Chiron agreed, and we sat down around the ping pong table and began discussing the situation, and after the meeting Chiron would contact the Olympians.

In celebration of me not having a school project anymore! I enjoyed writing this chapter, especially the timeskip, but I think from now on the timeskips will be three small start (***) or just a line (----)

I don't know how I feel about Annabeth's POV.. I'm not used to write as a girl, but it was fun.
