Chapter 21 | cuddles

Apple Jack noticed the girl falling asleep, her body staying close, her eyes scanning her. She smiled and then noticed the girls wings, they were beginning to shed again, it made her wonder but she just carefully brushed them away, she adjusted where she could fully see the girls features. Apple Jack kept there her eyes admiring the girl, suddenly she heard the other. "AJ?"

It was random and AJ swore she thought she was asleep. "Didn't I say shush?" She asked but went and played with the girls hair. She saw the girl open her magenta eyes and smiled. "Yes but, I'm not the one petting my wings." AJ blushed slightly, the cowgirl then chuckled nervously.  "My bad, I just noticed they were getting full." The Pegasus girl looked at her before giggling and her face buried itself into the others neck, which caused AJ to blush even more feeling the warmth of Dash' breath.

"Th-that's a good one." The multi hued said and then kept put, her wings carefully opened up. "They're fine.." she stated , the athlete now looked at AJ, the girl was red, she then thought and noticed that she was basically on top of her, displaying her wingspan, and then they closed and she tried to move but AJ opened her mouth to protest. "What's wrong?"

Classic AJ, straight forward with the questions. So she felt to be blunt with the answers but how?

"I- uhhh well, can I be honest?"

Apple Jack looked at her like she was an idiot.

"How I was, made me think I was in a position that could make you uncomfortable.." The cyan skin said to the tanned one and she noticed how quiet AJ was, her attention turned to the girl who looked confused. "But it seems that's not so?" She now asked

"Yes, I mean no-!" AJ said quick and then looked aside. "I mean , I do like how you was cuddled up with me.." she seemed to keep quiet before noticing the girl now laying back into place.

She smiled now and put her hand to the others hair, the colors mixing but never blending, RDs eyes looked to her, just like that night she was drunk, deep and tired and well Sweet. What ever the girl is feeling, it was real from that night. And it just now hit AJ. She then traced her hand to the girls back and rubbed it carefully, the cowgirl wanted the other calm and this was the only way she could figure it out.

"Dash?" AJ now started. She wasn't sure what to exactly phrase it.

"Yes?" The girl answered.

"Are you ok?" She looked to the cyan girl, who had now looked aside.

"I'm ok."

"You didn't answer any of my text... You skipped school." AJ said and kept her eyes on RD.

"Oh, my mom kept us from going to school today, I think it's a divorce thing or something, because my dad was in jail for a day till someone bailed him out and well now my mom is wanting to finally leave him oh and then well I slept almost all day and then I didn't bother with my phone, and watched alot of movies, then well Lightning visited..."The girl let out so quick as AJ could even process.

"Did you say divorce and jail?" The blonde asked. But no response now, this time RD stayed in place, her body light as a feather. "That's ok, we don't have to talk about it right now." She carefully kissed the girls hand again and noticed a slight pink on the others cheeks. It made her feel something deep.

"How about we take a nap?" AJ offered which before the girl could even pull the blankets over them she heard an actually snore escape the girl.

The blonde had held the girl close and cuddled her sleeping body, she had thoughts of the few times she's felt RDs lips against hers and thinking of how to even bring up a conversation about it.

She wondered if there was a label for this thing they had , or was this a situation-ship , AJ just wanted the beautiful blue winged girl to be happy, but also she wanted herself to be happy. She carefully and again kissed the girls forehead, before falling asleep herself.
