Chapter 12 | When the partys over

Yes the party was over, but AJ couldn't help but feel bad, all the people leaving with smiles and cheerful tones, or straight up drunk and passed out somewhere along the yard or house.

She had looked at RD lovingly, because she was slowely coming to the terms of herself having a crush on the girl. She wiped the tears from RDs eyes and looked at her, she was fragile like glass, and AJ was suppose to be the bubble wrap to keep her from shattering right now.

She placed a hand to RDs cheek and hummed softly it was quieting down and well it felt calmer now. Rainbow felt safer now, everything seemed better , at the moment it was peaceful.

Her Emerald eyes kept with Magenta in the moonlight, she wasn't sure how to even say it, or explain it but there was that feeling again in her stomach. She noticed how Rainbows hair almost glowed in the moonlight, and how she just wanted to carefully play with it. She noticed Rainbows eyes tracing about, it was slow but noticeable but she didn't say anything, the girl has already had enough trouble for the night.

Rainbows eyes traced about from the girls eyes, they looked at her cheeks her light freckles showed softly and her dimples, they were cute. She had leaned into AJs hand with out even noticing and her eyes darted sweetly to the girls lips, She wanted to say something, like "Thank you." , or "You're amazing." Or even "I love you." But nothing came out, instead she kept her eyes there and suddenly put her hand to AJs arm, she felt as though she was melting.

"Rainbow..." AJ started, she was soft in her tone and let the girl stay there, it made her blush and made her feel as though there was a hundred fire works exploding.

"Yes?" She asked her voice nearly a whisper still.

"You know, you can tell me anything right?" She asked , to RD it felt like she was quoting Soarin. She nodded into the girls hand. "I know.." she looked up now as AJ looked concerned , with a hint of care  she gently departed from the girls hand and now leaned onto AJ instead.

"Also.." AJ started, she carefully continued rubbing circles in the girls back. "Earlier, before you left my house.." Rainbow felt confused she was still half drunk and didn't understand. "Yeah?" She asked her,

"You kissed my cheek... why?" AJ finally asked, suddenly Rainbow raised up from leaning against Apple Jack and felt her heart skip, something echoed in her head

"Friends don't kiss each others cheeks Dashie."

She looked at AJ and blushed she wasn't sure how she could play this one off, because as much as she hated to admit it. Pinkie Pie was right. She started to think. "W-well , I wanted to show how appreciative I was.."

"Appreciative?" Asked AJ her hand carefully stroked the girls hair.

"Yeah-." RD replied she honestly felt it was something more herself but AJ was her closest and dearest friend. Suddenly she felt the girls hand to her wing which made her jump. "Oh-? Sorry." The blonde said lifting her hand, her fingers were gently raking off any loose feathers.

"I-it's ok, Thier just sensitive." The athlete replied, "Sometimes I wish I didn't have them, because they're a mess and sometimes a pain."

"But they're beautiful." Apple Jack said as RD froze and looked at her, her cheeks reddened. "Really?"

The blonde nods. "Just like you, or well they are you- I mean.."

"Thank you." The motley one said she then looked at AJs eyes and smiled. She's not smiled like this in the longest.The blonde had seemed to carefully leaned closer to the girl, she hummed softly. "I- I have something I need to say." She started as RD copied ever so easily a soft "Yeah-?" Escaped before AJ could speak the sound of the back door swinging open and a "OH THERE YOU GUYS ARE!!"

The two quickly scooted away from each other and they were both red. They both kept Thier eyes to the pink curly haired girl. She raised a brow. "So what you two up to?" She asked and sat down to, "I mean it's been a long night , most people had ended up home and you guys are still here besides Sunset, she passed out on the couch."

The girls shared a nervous laugh. "Ah , well the party was well." Apple Jack started but was cut off by RD.

"Awesome-.. Thanks Pinkie." She stood up and stretched. "Is Soarin still around?" She asked as AJ watched , the cowgirls face was beat red.

"Oh he is here, he said he was going wait but I said you was going to go back with AJ but he wanted make sure."The blue eyed girl looked to AJ and RD. "Anyways I'm going to clean up." She turned around to do as so.
