This fic was inspired by a tweet I saw on WilliamEst stan Twitter ->  check external link below , and as someone who once adored Malec and still does, reimagining WilliamEst in a similar dynamic set my imagination on fire.

This story takes place in a supernatural world where society is structured around secondary genders—Alphas, Betas, and Omegas. These classifications are deeply personal, only revealing themselves during moments of intimacy or when true mates meet. But that's just the backdrop to a much bigger conflict brewing between warriors, magic-wielders, and those who refuse to be ruled.

I've built this universe using elements inspired by Shadowhunter lore, but I've adapted the factions, politics, and terminology to create something unique for WilliamEst. Please take note of the world-building details below, as I may expand them as the story progresses.

World-Building & Factions🛡 The Order – A powerful governing body that commands an elite force of warriors known as Sentinels. Their mission? Protect humanity from supernatural threats, enforce laws, and maintain order.

🌙 The Veilborn – A coalition of supernatural beings—werewolves, vampires, mages, and faeries—who walk the line between the human and the otherworldly. Once persecuted and pushed to the margins, they now resist under the leadership of Thame Theema, the High Mage.

🔥 The Aetherborn & The Dracons – Some Sentinels are born with celestial blood, granting them extraordinary abilities. They are called Aetherborn, and they make up a powerful faction within The Order known as The Dracons. Their influence has been a major cause of strife between The Order and The Veilborn.

💥 The Resistance– The past wars between The Order and The Veilborns were sparked by Sataporn, the former head of the Dracons, whose leadership led to devastating oppression and bloodshed. Though he is no longer in power, his legacy continues to cast a shadow over the world.
