Chapter 21

00:37, 12 July 2014

I woke up to the feeling of the bus stopping. It was still dark outside so I checked the time on my phone. Three am. I sighed and unwrapped Cody's arm from my waist. "Where do you think you're going?" He grabbed my shirt and pulled me back down. "I'm guessing no where?" "Correct." He drew a check mark in the air.

"I want to go see where we are." "We've parked." Cody said. "I'm hungry." "It's the middle of the night." Cody chuckled. I stayed silent. "But I guess if that's what makes you happy." Cody sighed and got up. I watched him as he went out of the small room. "Come on then?" He stood in the doorway while he put a hoodie on.

I grinned and got up. "But we gotta be quiet because they're all sleeping." He whispered and held my waist to guide me through the bus. We opened the door and snuck out to be greeted by Matt and Scooter who were stood outside. "Shit! Go back, go back!" I pushed him but it was too late.

"And where do you think you're off to?" Scooter asked. "We were thinking of maybe going to find something to eat." Cody scratched the back of his neck. "It's three am!" Scooter checked his watch. "She woke me up by moving." "You wake up every time I move?" I looked at him. "Yeah." He looked away from me. "Well go back to bed. You have a show in 14 hours." "We're gonna go find some McDonalds." I grinned and pulled Cody's hand.

"Lauren, no." Matt stepped in. "Oh loosen up. We need to talk anyway." I glared at Cody who looked at the two men innocently. "He looks pretty scared." Scooter laughed. "Yeah, he should be." I watched him. "Alright, we're gonna go now." Cody took my hand and started walking away.

"Why am I in trouble?" "You're not." "You said we needed to talk." "What made you change your mind?" I walked backwards so I could face him. "About what?" "Dan." "You looked upset the other night, I know you miss him and he deserves a second chance. He's one of the only guys who actually respects us, despite the fact that he's in love with you." "Why say it like that?" I walked by his side again.

"Say what like what?" "In love with you." "You want me to be happy about it?" "I just want you to stop being jealous because of your own mistakes." I sighed. A 24/7 McDonalds came into sight. "I'm not jealous." "You are though. Like I said last night, all I have to do is look at another guy and you switch up and get mad. It's not fair on me." "I don't like sharing my baby." "So you're selfish?" I walked through the doors.

"I'm not selfish." I turned around and caught his eyes on my butt. "Oi." I snapped my fingers. Cody looked up with a smirk. "Sorry." He laughed. I rolled my eyes and walked to the counter. "You do have money on you, right?" "Since when am I paying?" "Since you are a jealous, selfish jerk." I smiled sweetly. Cody groaned and stuffed his hand in his pocket to get out his wallet.

"Thanks." I stuffed another load of fries in my mouth. "Yeah." Cody watched me eat. "Why so cranky?" I asked. "Why do you think?" I rolled my eyes at him. "I think we need to spend some time apart." My stomach dropped as he said those words. "What?" I stopped eating and looked at him. "Nooo, not like that. We just need to stop hanging out together all the time." "Well we have no choice, we have two more weeks of constantly being together." "Well you're gonna have to stop being annoying then." He smiled.

"I wanna meet Jake's new girl." "She's ho-" He stopped himself. "Real hot." I looked at him. Cody grinned and took one of my fries. "If you play your cards right, she could be your number three." I smirked. "Do you think you're funny because no one else is laughing." "You're the only one here." I laughed. "I'm gonna hurt you." He mumbled.

"Cody's doing meet and greets." I moaned and fell onto the couch next to Jake. "Cody's pissed at you." He laughed. "I know but it's no fun, he's not here to annoy." Jake laughed at me. "I'd watch your back though, he thinks Jasmin's hot." I rested my feet over his lap. "I think his girlfriend's hot, that doesn't mean I'm gonna make a move on her." Jake looked at me.

"You tried." I pointed out. "You weren't about to stop me." Jake laughed cockily. "I wasn't about to kiss you either. You were gonna kiss me when you have a girl? All guys are the same." I rolled my eyes. "I ain't him." "He's not a bad guy, Jake. He's made mistakes but he's not a bad guy." I insisted. "He's my best friend, Lauren." "What's that supposed to mean?" "I know him a little better than you do."

Jake got up and started walking away. "But he's my boyfriend." "I know him differently to the way you do." Jake said before walking away. Alli came down the hall and sat next to me. "You guys made up yet?" I asked her. "Who?" "You and Jake." "We didn't have a fight." "Bu-" "I just didn't want to hear about his new slut." She scoffed.

"Alli!" I scolded. "I'm sorry." She giggled. "Have you seen a picture of her?" "Alli, you're beautiful. Don't be insecure." Alli sighed and fell back on the couch. "I promise." I laid down with her. "I do love you." She wrapped her arms around me. "And I love you too, Als." I hugged her back. We cuddled for a while and then I had to go and get ready.

Cody and I haven't spoken since we got back to the bus this morning. Right now Alli, Jake, Lilly and I are playing monopoly in the front of the bus while Cody's with the crew. "When's he gonna come back here?" Lilly asked. "Soon. We're driving to Scotland tonight so he won't be long, sweetie." I kissed her head.

"Will he be here before I go to sleep?" "If he isn't back in ten minutes, I'll call him." "Okay." She smiled. After around fifteen minutes Cody still wasn't back so I went to the back of the bus and rung him. "What?" He answered straight away. "Lilly won't go to bed without you." Cody sighed. "I'll be ten minutes." "Five. She's tired." "See yah." He hung up before I could say anything.

"I really have annoyed him." I went back through the bus. "I know." Alli and Jake said at the same time which made Lilly giggle. We had a few more goes before Lilly stopped being interested. "When's he gonna be here?" She moaned. "He won't be long, princess." "You want me to read you a story while we wait?" Jake offered. "Umm.." She looked at Alli shyly.

"I don't bite." He smiled. "Can you do the voices like Cody does?" "And I got some sweeties." "Yay! You're even better than Cody." She jumped off the small couch and followed him to the bunks. I looked at the door and saw Cody looking a little upset. "I guess you don't need me anymore?" He asked. "He was just trying to distract her." "Well it worked." He forced a smile.

"Go in there and take over." I got up and walked towards him. "I don't feel like it." He turned for the door. "She wants you." "She's got him." He opened the door and left. I sighed and went after him. "I didn't know how long you were going to be." "She said he was better than me." Cody kept his back to me but stopped walking.

"She's seven and he offered her sweets. It's not permanent." I reminded. Cody still didn't turn around. "He'll be gone in a few days." "So will she be." "I'll be here. You can love me." "You didn't just say you prefered him to me." Cody finally turned around but looked at the floor. "It's nothing to be upset about. Go in there and get the cookies out the fridge." I suggested.

"Baby wants to see you before she goes to sleep." I told him. "And then I want to see you before I go to sleep." "You love me now?" "I always love you." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Okay, I would totally make out with you right now but I gotta go see your little sister." He laughed. "I'll be waiting. You can make out with me after." "I plan to." He slid his hands in my back pockets and looked into my eyes.

We stood still for a little while until Cody removed his hands and moved back. "I really gotta go." He laughed and went into the bus. I followed and sat at the back with Alli. "I'm going to bed once the guys are done with Lil." She said. "I'm probably sleeping out here again." "So you can sleep with my brother?" "It's just sleeping." I smiled.

"I really hope that's true." "It is. We only do that in the comfort of a bed." I smirked. "I didn't need to know that." She laughed. "You asked for it." I giggled. Minutes later Cody came into the room. "I'm gonna need that kis- Hey Als." He shoved his hands in his pockets. "I'm going to bed." She got up. "Bye." I laughed and waved to her.

Cody shut the door after her and joined me on the couch. "I'm gonna need your shirt before you have any kind of kiss." I said. Cody took his shirt off and passed it to me. I took my shirt off and put Cody's on. He knelt on the couch and slid my jeans off my legs before putting them on the floor with my shirt.

I giggled as Cody pulled me towards him by my legs. "Kiss me, baby." He lifted my chin and connected our lips. I managed to pull the blankets over us as we kissed. "Are you sleeping with me tonight?" I asked. "Mhm. I ain't leaving you." He wrapped his arms around my body and moved onto his back. "Wait, before you get excited.. That's staying in your pants." I pointed to bump which was forming in his pants.

"I love you though." "Nice try." I laid down on his stomach and rested my head on his chest. "I'm sorry about today, I just needed a little space." "I understand. I know you did." "We're gonna be okay, me and you." "Who said we weren't?" "You were thinking it." "I don't like how you-" "I wouldn't start it off again." "Good idea." I giggled and kissed his jaw.

"Did you speak to Dan?" "I can't." I hid my face in his neck. "Sure you can. He's your best friend." "He was my best friend. And that's the thing! He was able to leave and never look back." I sighed. "He made the effort to try getting back in your life." "Now that I'm happy." "You're having doubts?" "Every guy I've ever been close to has either hurt me or left me." "You gave me a second chance." He fought back.

"I gave you a third, fourth, fift-" "Would you shut up." He messed up my hair. I giggled and sat up with my hands on his chest for support. "You tried a lot harder than anyone else." "I think you should talk to him." "What if he leaves again?" "If you don't try, you'll never know." "Why do you always have to be right?" I flopped down again. Cody wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head.

"Because I care about what's best for you. Life's about taking risks." "Can we go to Australia when we get home?" I changed the subject. "Why do you wanna go to Australia?" "I like it there." "I'll speak to Mom." "Good boy." "You're my good girl." His hands slid down my back and held my butt. "Get off." I laughed.

"Make me." He raised his eyebrow. "I wanna kiss you so bad right now." I squeezed his cheeks. "Go on then." "Make me." I teased. "You're trouble, you." He laughed at me. "You're cute." I pecked his lips. "Gimme more kisses." He ran his fingers up and down my thighs lightly. I kissed his lips quickly again. "More." I did it again.

"More." I did it once more. "More." He continued to demand. I went to kiss him again but he stopped me with his finger. "A proper kiss." Cody whispered. I nodded and pressed my lips agains his. Cody took the lead and depened it. His tongue soon crept into my mouth but I didn't deny it.

"Guys, ar- Woah.." Jake's voice interrupted us. I jumped up off of Cody's body and looked at Alli and Jake who were stood in the doorway. "We were gonna ask if you mind us coming to watch TV but it looks like we interrupted something." Alli smirked at Jake who returned the look. "Nope. We'll watch with you." Cody sat up and pulled me back down.

"Might wanna cover youself up, Codes." Jake laughed and sat down. I looked at Cody weird and then noticed the bump in his pants which made me laugh. "Thanks for that." He said sarcastically. "I didn't give it to you." Alli and I laughed at Jake. "You know what I mean." Cody said. I rested my head on his shoulder and got comfortable.

"Go to sleep if you're tired." Cody whispered. "I'm not sleepy though." "Yes you are." "I'm not." "Are." "Not." "Are." "No-" "Shh!" Alli hit my arm. "Yeah, shh." I looked at Cody. "Go get in my bunk." Cody whispered. I shook my head. "Baby, come on." "No." "You're so annoying." He got up and picked me up. "Cody!" "Shut up. You're gonna wake up Lilly." He scolded.

"You can't lift me onto the top bunk. I'm too heavy." I stated. "Oh yeah?" Cody opened the curtains and slid my body onto the bed. "Hey." I frowned. "Poor baby." "No. Don't go." I pouted and held onto his hand. Cody sighed and rested his head on the framework. "Go to sleep, you don't need to me to be here for you to go to sleep." "I do." "Please, you need rest."

"Cody, please stay." "I'll be in there for ten minutes. Have som-" "Cody?" Lilly's sleepy voice called out. "Great." He sighed. "Yeah?" He turned around and bent down to see her. "Why are you talking?" "I'm trying to get your big sister to go to sleep." "Read her a story." She cutely suggested. "You wanna give her a cuddle for me?" "Yeah."

Cody picked her up and put her in the bunk with me. "Now, you're both my baby girls and you can look after each other." He kissed each of our heads and went to the back of the bus again. "He's a meanie, he should be reading you a story." Lilly said. "I know. He's a big meanie." I agreed. "You wanna play the story game?" "What's that?" She asked.

"I'm gonna start the story by one sentence and then you'll do the next one and we make it up together." "Yeah! I wanna do that." She grinned. "Okay, but you gotta go to sleep after." "I promise." She nodded. "Good girl." I kissed her head before starting off the story.
