Chapter 12 Part II

My room is boiling... deadass, like I'm cooking in my sheets right now.

Pools of sweat collect on my neck as I stare up at the roof, trying whatever I can to get to sleep. I just can't, my body is exhausted but my head is wide awake, thinking about everything. To be honest, there's a lot of dark shit in my head, like a lot and usually I just distract myself with happy things, Berry, Australia, predebut Han... you know, shit like that, but now, the only thing I can think about is Sophie. It's not like I'm obsessed with her or anything, she's just all I can think about.

I think about Berry... oh I bet Soph would like to meet her. I think about Australia... oh I reckon my family back home would love Sophie. Even when I think about predebut Han... damn it's weird to think there are weird guys like predebut Han out there, maybe she'll meet a weird guy like that while she's clubbing tonight... maybe she's in danger because of a predebut Han type of guy right now.

Yeah... it's bad.

But, how can I not, she was incredible in the recording studio today. She was so excited to be there, so happy. I envy those days when I couldn't wait to record, couldn't wait to experience new things, but it's fine if I can only live that feeling again through her. Sophie really should've auditioned to be an idol, she still can. She's talented, good to work with, kind, she would've made it in this industry and honestly, I wish she didn't have to intern for me.

My phone begins ringing and I sigh in relief, something to distract me from my thoughts, finally. I lean over to my bedside table, unsticking myself from the sweat patch on the mattress.

Incoming Call from Soph ♡

I tilt my head to the side, questioning when we started being on a call to call basis. After a moment, I answer the call, bringing it up to my ear, my eyes squinting from the light.

"Daddy?" She groans on the other side of the call.

"Daddy?" I question back, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Chris," she coos, her tone of voice changing completely.

"Sophie," I respond, imitating the way she said my name. "What's up?"

"Um," she grumbles, before going silent for a while.

"Yeah?"

"Can you pick me up?" She asks and I hear her slurring her words. Why is she calling me, why not Lin... doesn't she have a roommate she can call? Not that it matters, I'm not trying to be mean but, I can't be the only person she has to call.

"Yeah," I quickly jump off the bed, rushing over to the dresser in the corner of my room. "Yes, of course. Where are you?"

"Um..."

"Oh," I reach for my keys, storming down the hallway of the dorms. "Do you see anything around you, any names?"

"Umm," I hear rustling in the background. "This paper says Periperiyummy hotel."

"Periperiyummy...?" I falter as I walk out of the dorm, putting her on speaker, listening to her breathing and other miscellaneous sounds on the other side of the call. I open google maps, typing in 'Periperiyummy hotel', tapping the first place that came up. I look at the picture, which shows a nice looking hotel, a nice hotel that is located on what looks like a dodgy alleyway. Why would there be a nice hotel hidden away in a dodgy alleyway? I tussle my fingers through my hair, thinking of all the reasons why she's there, why she's at that nice hotel... in an alleyway, calling for me. My mouth drops as I read the description, feeling the sudden urge to vomit, my eyes physically bulging out of my head. I speed up my pace towards lift, wishing I could get there even faster.

"Sophie," I utter, taking the elevator to the car park.

"Mhm?" She mumbles back and I hear a banging sound in the background.

"Why are you at a love hotel?" I shake my head, my breaths quickening.

"Am I?" I hear her question as I hear another bang in the background, the call dropping out immediately after.

"Sophie?" I grumble under my breath, my heart racing too quick to control.

What the fuck. I should've locked her in that damn recording studio.

Yep that's right, another two part chapter (I'm literally going insane help) -> I actually quite liked chapter 12 tho, part II is comically short, but otherwise ｡◕‿◕｡
