goodbyes & hello (PARIS)

Jungkook opened the door with the keys and found Yoongi sitting in front of the TV with Jay sleeping on his lap. Her head was so buried in between his legs that it looked so debauched.

Yoongi's attention was on the basketball match. He didn't even realize their positions till Jungkook stood and glared at him.

"She - she fell asleep," Yoongi murmured not caring to wake her up. Because he knew it was safer to handle Jungkook's wrath than to wake up a sleeping Jay.

Jungkook nodded and went inside to his boyfriend. He had important matters to discuss.

"Babe?" Jungkook closed the door and saw Tae working on his laptop.

Today was the day.

When he had to tell his boss his decision about Paris.

"Hey," Tae smiled and pecked Jungkook's lips, "You look awesome."

Tae felt and looked miserable. He was happy that Jungkook was at least looking great.

"So - did you talk to your boss?" Jungkook came straight to the point and saw Tae's face fall down.

He had stopped eating due to stress. Going to work also. He was mainly working from home to avoid his boss and other people.

Putting the laptop aside, Tae nodded his head, "Yes - I have made a decision. Haven't spoken to my boss yet. I thought first I will discuss it with you."

Jungkook held Tae's hand and kissed it, "Whatever it is - I love you. Always remember that."

Tae smiled sadly and sighed, "Of course Kookie. Well - I thought about this a lot. A lot. And I - I don't think this is fair or easy for me. I have always chased dreams and careers. But at the end of the day, I felt empty. When I met you - you changed everything around me. I don't want to chase behind empty dreams now. I want to chase you - my dream. I am not going to Paris baby. I can't live without you."

Jungkook's hand shivered and he realized he was crying.

They hugged each other and stayed silent for a while.

"What if I show you something?" Jungkook took out two tickets to Paris from his jacket pocket.

Tae's eyes widened and he blinked furiously.

"Well - I have been speaking a lot to your boss. She's a lovely lady. Her sons - twins are a fan of my games. I spoke to her a lot and told her that the only way my baby would accept the Paris proposal was if I was with him."

Tae bit his lip and felt tears stream down his face - the ticket in his hands felt so weird and heavy.

"Then I spoke to my boss - and kinda convinced him to let me work from home for a year or so. But a fun fact - I didn't know my company has a branch in Paris too. So I won't be totally working from home. Well - after a lot of talking and convincing - here we have our tickets to Paris."

Hugging Jungkook Tae began to sob uncontrollably, "God! Kookie - I love you so much. I - I made the right decision by choosing you. I can't believe you did so much for me. For me?"

Jungkook kissed Tae's face, "Hey - you too were going to sacrifice such an amazing opportunity for me. So - we are even. Plus, I love you Kim Taehyung. So - so much."

Tae giggled his face wet with tears, "I love you Kim Jungkook - more - more and more."

"So - next week - this time we will be in Paris my love," Jungkook nuzzled Tae's nose and suddenly remembered something.

"I am gonna miss this place - this room where we first met and hated each other."

Jungkook chuckled remembering that day.

"Shit!" Jungkook bit his lip.

"What? Jay?" Tae asked with puppy eyes.

Meanwhile outside

"Yoongi - stop that match," Jay yawned and pinched his thigh, "or lower the volume. I wanna sleep."

Yoongi groaned - annoyed, "If you wanna sleep then please go inside and sleep. My legs are not your bed."

"They are," Jay chuckled and nuzzled her nose in his thigh deeper.

"Stop it, Jay," Yoongi warned putting the TV on mute.

Jay giggled and took a bite of Yoongi's thigh who grabbed her from every side making her sit. But she too was quick as a cat and jumped up and began laughing seeing Yoongi caress his bitten thigh.

"You come here - come here right now or I am gonna bruise your nipples so bad tonight Jay - fuck you are so -"

Yoongi stopped talking and Jay stopped laughing turning around.

Jungkook and Tae were standing holding hands listening to their whole conversation.

"Um - we wanted to talk," Tae smiled to break the tension.

Jungkook was looking down - avoiding his sister's and best friend's eyes.

"Oh my god, are you pregnant?" Jay clapped her hands and saw her brother throw glares at her.

They all sat down and enjoyed the silence for a while.

"We - Kookie and I are moving to Paris next week," Tae said his eyes moist seeing Jay's and Yoongi's sorrowful faces.

4 days later

After all the hugging and crying, Jungkook reminded Tae it was time for their flight.

Jay couldn't leave Tae and sobbed on his shoulder. Yoongi grabbed her arm and broke their hug. But Jungkook instantly hugged his sister and kissed her forehead.

"Please take care you idiot," he whispered and glanced at Yoongi, "Take care of her Yoongi."

Yoongi nodded and hugged both of them.

Tae had made everyone promise that they wouldn't come to the airport. Only Namjoon was going to the airport with them since he had to receive a business partner too.

Tae hugged Jin, Hobi, Jimin once again and made their way to their car. They already had dinner with their parents the last night announcing their relationship and the Paris situation. For the most part, their parents were happy and supportive.

Once inside the plan, Jungkook leaned on Tae's shoulder and kissed his hand, and suddenly yelped, "Oh god!"

"What?" Tae asked worried - thinking he forgot to pack something important, "You left something?"

Jungkook sighed, "Yes - Jay with Yoongi. God! She's gonna make his life hell. She's gonna do something wild and stupid."

Tae giggled and shrugged, "I doubt - from what I saw - it is Yoongi who is wild."

"What?" Jungkook laughed thinking Tae was joking.

"Yes, that day when Jay was wearing a crop top - I saw bruises on her stomach - big bite marks. And yes it was Yoongi's because when I woke up at night to drink water - I heard her moans."

Jungkook cried shaking his head, "Nooooooo!"

Many Months Later

"Baby - come here fast - the video call is on," Tae waved at Jay and felt Jungkook sitting behind him.

"Happy Halloween and happy birthday Jay," Tae smiled and saw Jay sitting with many people around her.

"Thank you," she chimed and the balloons flew on her head as Yoongi was cooking at the back.

"So - show me the ring again," Jay bit her lip and asked to see the engagement ring for the 10th time.

Tae and Jungkook were engaged since a month. Tae's project got extended for a few more years and Jungkook got another job in Paris. So it was pretty clear that they were going to settle Paris.

The ring which Jungkook chose was so beautiful and looked even more elegant on Tae's fingers.

Tae showed the ring and saw many people coming in front of the camera.

"Hey - hi - gorgeous," it was Ari - Jay's student with her other ex-students gathered around to celebrate her birthday.

"You," Jungkook growled, "What you doing in my house?"

"Oh, Mr. Jeon is still mad at me. Well, we are celebrating Miss Jay's birthday. She's getting old - so she does not want to go out partying with us."

Tae laughed and saw Jay beating the shit out of Ari who ran away from her grabbing chocolates from the table.

"Yoongi and Jay," Tae began to talk, "You both book your tickets fast. Jin, Namjoon, Hobi, Sid, Jimin all have booked their tickets. Even our parents. Only you two are left. The wedding is happening at the end of this month. Your brother is growing impatient. We have booked a venue - caterers - everything."

Jungkook back hugged Tae and both giggled like school kids.

"Yes - of course, we will," Yoongi promised and showed them the dishes he had cooked for Jay.

"I will send you pictures of the wedding venue and our new house - it's so beautiful -"

Ari was eating chocolates and throwing wrappers everywhere while the other girls were looking for the remote.

"Ari - put wrappers in the dust bin," Jay yelled knowing Yoongi would have to clean everything later.

"Whose stupid idea was to call this mob?" Jungkook asked shaking his head and staring at Jay and Yoongi looking tired.

He didn't dare ask about their relationship status. But from Tae he knew that they were still going strong. In between, they had a one-month break when they fought a lot. That month, Jimin stayed with them since they hardly spoke to each other. But one fine day, Jimin found them in their bed naked and sleeping.

"Book your tickets right now," Tae yelled again as the connection was growing weak.

Jay nodded her head seeing the girls make more cocktails and blow balloons.

"Oh my god! Miss Jay," they heard Ari's voice so loud and clear, "Are you pregnant? I found your pregnancy stick in the dustbin. It's positive."

Jay and Yoongi glanced at each other as the video went off.

"What?" Jungkook could hardly breathe, "What?"

"Baby?" Tae held his fiancée's hand.

"Jaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"
