"This exercise consists of opening this padlock using only magic. The key to an effective technical charm is proper pronunciation." Professor Palladium said as we all weren't really paying attention to him.

"For instance, this incantation is pronounced 𝑬𝒙𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒐-𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒏. Please remember it." Professor Palladium said, but I was too occupied by Flora who had a lovestruck look on her face. "Winter, you want to give it a try?" Professor Palladium asked me "Sure. 𝑬𝒙𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒐-𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒏." I said pronouncing the spell correctly opening the lock.

"Well done. Now see what happens if I switch one letter. 𝑬𝒙𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒐-𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒔." Professor Palladium said as he pronounced the spell wrong making cats appear around him. "See what I mean?" Professor Palladium said as the whole class started laughing "Now in elvish, this spell is represented by this symbol." Professor Palladium said as I looked over at Flora and saw that she was daydreaming 𝑆ℎ𝑒'𝑠 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑎... 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛... 𝐹𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑖𝑑𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑐𝑟𝑢𝑠ℎ 𝑓𝑜𝑟 ℎ𝑖𝑚... "Flora, are you paying attention?" Professor Palladium asked her. "Huh? Uh, yes professor?" Flora said snapping out of her dream "All right. Please recite the spell." Professor Palladium told her "Um, let's see. 𝑬𝒙𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒐-𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒔." Flora said pronouncing the spell wrong and making the cats all grow in size crushing Professor Palladium.

"Whoopsie" Flora said as the whole class was laughing at Professor Palladium.

~𝔸𝕗𝕥𝕖𝕣 ℂ𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕤~

After class, the girls and I were all walking down the hallway. "Sun-tanning is bad for your skin." Musa said "But who cares, Musa? A tan looks very nice." Stella told her "Well, I'm working on my healing powers." Bloom said, "I'm gonna do my homework." Tecna said "Aww but—" Stella started saying but was interrupted. "Hmmm, me too. Good idea." Musa said, "Eugh, you guys are boring." Stella said, "I'll catch up with you later Bloom." I told her "Alright." Bloom said "Ah, Winter, Layla? Can I talk to you guys for a second?" Flora asked.

"Sure. I'm free for a little bit." I said smiling at Flora "Okay, sure." Layla said as the three of us headed towards the cafeteria.

As we got to the cafeteria, Flora, Layla and I got drinks that Knut was giving around. "So, let me guess, this is about Helia." Layla said, "You hit the jackpot on that one Layla." I said smiling "Yes, how did you know it was about him? I was just gonna ask if you guys could help me." Flora asked us. "Well, I saw you write his name in your notebook." Layla said, "Plus, every time Helia is mentioned or is in 5 feet of you, you get all shy and blushy." I said, "Oh, I so wish I could talk to him." Flora said sighing.

"Well, why wouldn't you? There's no reason a girl can't tell a boy that she likes him." Layla said. "True. Just look what happened to Jace and I. Last year, I confessed to him first and we turned out great." I said, "What if he doesn't feel the same about me?" Flora asked us "You won't know until you ask, Flora." Layla said "I know its scary Flora. But, you have to tell him sooner or later." I said. "Well, yeah, but maybe you guys could find out how he feels about me." Flora said, "Flora, how are Winter and I supposed to do that?" Layla asked her "I don't know, maybe Chatta can help. I mean, she always knows everybody's secrets." Flora said.

"I really don't like these kinds of situations, but I'll see what I can do." Layla said. "I mean, I guess I can take some time off studying my healing powers and help." I said, "Oh, thank you Winter and Layla!" Flora said as she hugged Layla and I, surprising us.

~𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕊𝕜𝕚𝕡~

After the talk with Flora and Layla, I met up with Bloom so we could find some books to study up on. "Let's see, healing arts." I said as we made it to the hearing section of the library "Oh, boy, it looks like these books haven't been taken out in ages." I said taking a book out and blew some dust off it and examined it "Nope, no good." I said as I put the book back.

"This is going to take ages." Bloom said as we turned around. Then, as we were going to walk away, a book suddenly fell off the shelf 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑟𝑑... I thought as I looked behind the shelf to see no one there "Huh? Oh, what's this? 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒔, 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔." Bloom said as she picked up the book "I guess this would be a good book to start with." Bloom said as we walked away.

"And look at her go, ladies and gentlemen! She is unstoppable! Unbeatable—" Chatta was rambling on, but she tripped over the hedge and fell into some water. As Chatta dropped the Ball, I quickly jumped up and caught it "Nice going Crystal!" Digit told me "Come on, Lockette!" Digit said as she and I quickly skated away "Wait up!" Lockette cried out as she followed after us.

𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑜 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑓𝑢𝑛! 𝐼 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑘𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑐𝑒... I thought smiling. "I think the way out of this labyrinth is right through here." Lockette said as we were skating through the maze "You think or you're sure?" Digit asked Lockette "I'm sure, I think." Lockette said.

"I'm just saying this would've been a lot better if we were ice skating." I said. "We've talked about this Crystal. You'd have too much of an advantage over all of us and it wouldn't be fair." Digit told me "I'm catching up!" Amore yelled out behind us.

"The goal is at the end of this tunnel. Quick! She's gaining on us." Lockette told Digit and I as we skated through the tunnel. "There it is!" Lockette cried out as we passed through the tunnel and spotted the goal "Digit, I believe this is your time to shine." I said as I threw the ball at her "Thank you." Digit said as she caught the ball "Great navigation, Lockette, now with a thirty-degree angle—" Digit started saying, but I interrupted her.

"Just throw it!" I yelled at Digit impatiently "Here goes!" Digit yelled out as she threw the ball into the goal, but it was knocked out seconds later. "Oh no!" Digit, Lockette, and I cried out as we skated over to the goal and saw that Piff was sleeping inside "Piff?" I said with a smile as she woke up yawning, making Lockette and I laugh.

"The rules clearly state that you're not supposed to sleep in the goal hole!" Digit said scolding Piff. "Hey, where is everyone?" I asked as I looked around to find the other Pixies gone "Uh, Digit? What's that?!" Lockette asked as we all looked up to see these four floating green spheres above us "Ahhh!" Digit, Lockette, and I yelled out. "Run!" Digit yelled out "Let's get out of here!" Lockette yelled out as well as we all skated away.

As I skate through the maze as fast as I can, I see that one of the green spheres is following me and was gaining as well. "Now, I really wish we were ice skating!" I yelled out as the green sphere hits me and I fell down to the ground and getting knocked unconscious.

𝕎𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣 ℙ.𝕆.𝕍:

After our trip to the library, Bloom and I were in our room studying the book we had. 𝐼'𝑚 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑎 𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑙𝑒 𝑠𝑘𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑘... I thought "Hmm, this is a simple one." Bloom said as she wrote it down in her notebook "𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒃𝒊 𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒖𝒏." Bloom said as she casted the incantation spell on the plant, but it immediately withered and died.

"Oops. That's not good." Bloom said, "You're telling me." I said as I examined the book suspiciously. Suddenly, Stella burst into our room "Hi Winter, Bloom, have you guys seen Amore by any chance?" Stella asked us "No, we haven't. Come to think of it, Layla said she couldn't find Chatta earlier." Bloom said.

"They were going to play Bamboozle Ball, but that was hours ago." Stella said. "We'd better go look for them." I said as we got all the girls and we walked around Alfea looking for the Pixies outside.

"I wonder where the pixies are. I sure hope they're not in trouble." Stella said worriedly. As the girls and I were walking, I looked up and saw the Pixies all flying away "Hey, Lockette." Bloom called out to her, but she was ignored "She didn't hear, let's go after her." Layla said.

"Access denied. Access denied." The computer said as Timmy tried to get into contact with Tecna. "Oh, she locked me out. I just don't understand Tecna." Timmy said as he rolled his chair away from his computer "Timmy, girls are unpredictable. One day they like you and the next day they don't! Sometimes, they'll even pretend not to like you so you'll like them even more!" Brandon said as he was practicing his combat skills.

"So you guys think all's not lost and I might still impress Tecna?" Timmy asked us. "Absolutely." I said "Sure. And while you're at it some nicer clothes would really give you an edge, you know?" Brandon said once again giving terrible advice "Uh, no thanks. I kinda like how I dress." Timmy said.

"Yeah, I don't think Tecna cares too much about his appearance Brandon." I said. "Hmmm, you should try puffing up your hair a bit. Stella gave me this stuff, works like magic." Brandon said ignoring Timmy and I "No, really, it's okay." Timmy said "Brandon?" I said, "How about contacts?" Brandon asked ignoring us again "Never mind." Timmy said sighing.

After catching up to the Pixies, the girls and I all surrounded them. "There you are, we were worried about you." I told the Pixies "We must get back to Pixie Village." Chatta said "Are you mad? You know that Lord Darkar will follow you, and you know that he must never ever find out where the village is." Bloom told the Pixies.

"Bloom, wait. Why do you want to go home so much?" Layla asked them. "Because. Just because." Digit said "𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 is not logical, Digit. This isn't like you at all." Tecna told her "Amore, stop this nonsense immediately and come over here." Stella told her.

"No, we're homesick, we wanna go." Amore said looking upset. "Pixies, scatter!" Crystal yelled out as all the Pixies all flew away in different directions "They're making a run for it!" Flora said.

"We can't let them get away!" Stella said "Transform, 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒙!" I yelled out as the girls and I all transformed.

After the girls and I all transformed, we all split up and went after our bonded Pixies. As I was flying around looking for Crystal, I saw that she flew into the maze "Oh, I'm sorry my little snowflake. But you left me no choice." I whispered "𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒆!" I yelled out as I captured Crystal in a crystal-shaped cage.

"Winter! Let me go!" Crystal yelled at me "No can do Crystal." I said as I grabbed her and took down the cage. "If you love me, you'd set me free right now." Crystal said "That's precisely the reason I can't let you go. I care too much about you and the pixies to let you make a mistake like this." I said as I flew back to the others who had caught their bonded Pixies.

As I landed next to the girls, I put Crystal in the cage with the others. "Let us go!" Chatta yelled at us "Quiet, you pixies. Now is everyone here?" Stella asked, "Yes, uh, no, where's Piff?" Musa asked, "Oh no, do you think Piff got away?" Flora asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, she's over there!" Layla said as she flew over to us and pointed over to where Piff was sleeping "She flew about 10 feet and had to stop to take a nap." Layla said as the girls and I all laughed.

After we all de-transformed, the girls and I took the Pixies over to Miss Faragonda's office so she could take a look and tell us what's wrong with them. "I've put the pixies in a safe place. It will give us the time we need." Miss Faragonda told us "But what's wrong with them?" Flora asked Miss Faragonda.

"They are under the influence of a homesickness spell. It compels them to return to their village. Frankly, I believe Lord Darkar is behind this." Miss Faragonda said.

"Miss Faragonda, you've been keeping something from us about Darkar and the pixies, am I right?" Tecna asked her. "And what about Red Fountain? Does this have something to do with what the Trix stole? The Specialists said they can't talk about it. What's going on?" I asked Miss Faragonda as well.

"Saladin and I have discovered that Darkar is after the four quadrants of something called The Codex." Miss Faragonda told us. "Is it a magical artifact?" Bloom asked "Not quite. But if Darkar gets a hold of all four pieces, it'll be a disaster." Miss Faragonda said, "So the Trix got the first one in Red Fountain." I said.

"That means another piece is kept in Pixie Village!" Layla said. "Uh, but what about the other two?" Musa asked "Cloud Tower and Alfea. That means we must be vigilant now that Darkar's plan is in motion." Miss Faragonda said, "First things first, we've gotta help the pixies." Flora said. "But how?" Tecna asked "Winter, Bloom, don't you think this is a great opportunity to test your new healing powers?" Miss Faragonda asked us "Absolutely. Bloom and I'll give it our best shot." I told her.

After speaking to Miss Faragonda, I told Bloom to wait for me, while Layla and I transformed and flew over to Red Fountain to do Flora's little mission. As we arrived at Red Fountain, Layla and I sneak into Helia's room "The thing's I do to make new friends." Layla said, "Yeah, welcome to our little club where we do crazy things for each other." I said.

"What's this? A poem?" Layla asked as I picked up a notebook. "𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒖𝒓𝒎𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒅-𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒔." I said "Hmmm." Layla said "𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓, 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒂𝒚." I said, "Eugh how lame." Layla said cringing "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒇𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒊𝒔—" I was trying to read, but then the sound of the door opening made Layla and I gasp and hide.

As I put down the notebook back where it belonged, Helia walked into his room "Barely made it." Layla whispered as we quickly flew away quietly without being spotted.

After finishing Flora's mission I quickly made it back to my room and saw Bloom about to get started. 𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘 𝑜𝑛 𝑎 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑖𝑥𝑖𝑒𝑠... I thought as I sat down "Okay, a purification spell." Bloom said as she read the book again 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑎𝑠 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑎𝑠 𝐵𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑚 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠... I thought.

Then, Bloom goes over to another plant, "𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊." Bloom said as she cast the incantation spell on it, but the plant suddenly transforms into a monster. "Help!" Bloom cried out in fear, and then the plant monster went to attack us, but I quickly grabbed the book and smacked it to the ground.

"Woah. What's wrong with this book?" Bloom asked looking at the books in my hand "Something strange is going on here. Come, on let's go talk to Miss Faragonda." I said as Bloom and I went to find Miss Faragonda with the book in hand.

~𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕊𝕜𝕚𝕡~

"Ah, Winter, Bloom. Come in." Miss Faragonda said as Bloom and I walked into her office. "Thank you, Ma'am." I said as we walked towards her "We've been working on my healing spells but nothing seems to work." Bloom said, "But, I'm a little skeptical of the book we have." I said. "I see, and this is the book you've been using?" Miss Faragonda asked "Yes." Bloom said, "Let me see." Miss Faragonda said as I handed the book to her to examine it "Oh my, where did you get this book?!" Miss Faragonda asked as she gasped and dropped the book.

"At the library?" Bloom said confused "Winter, you were right to be skeptical. It's not from our collection." Miss Faragonda told us. "I don't understand." Bloom said "Someone planted it there. Perhaps as a trap. You're lucky nothing serious happened." Miss Faragonda said "Oh no." Bloom said.

Then, Miss Faragonda looked through her own bookshelf and took a book out for us. "Here. Take this one and go check on the pixies. Remember, they cannot be allowed to lead Darkar to the Codex." Miss Faragonda told us as she gave me the book and Bloom and I went back to our room to study.

"Let's see, this spell will cure magic-induced sadness and longing." I said reading the book and then closed it. "That's got to work, but there's no time to try it out." I said as I thought back to what the girls told us about the Pixies escaping.

"I hope we're not too late." I said as Bloom and I were running through the forest as fast as our legs could take us "Come, on Bloom. Let's transform." I said "Right!" Bloom said "𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒙!" I yelled out as Bloom and I transformed.

After we transformed, Bloom and I quickly flew around the forest looking for either the girls or the Pixies. A little while later, no and I found the girls all covered in some suspicious goo "Winter? Bloom?" Stella said as Bloom and I landed next to the girls and tried to catch our breaths.

"Bloom and I got here as fast as we could." I told the girls. "Did you guys find a counter-spell?" Stella asked us "Here, take these and go." Tecna told Bloom and I as she handed us two tracking devices, Bloom and I then put the tracking devices on our skirts and turned them on.

"The trees are talking. The pixies are almost home." Flora said as she used her magic to listen to the trees. "What are you guys waiting for?" Layla asked us "Alright. Come, on Bloom." I said as Bloom and I flew after the Pixies.

"Flora, where are they?" I asked Flora through the communicator Tecna gave us. "Straight ahead!" Flora said, "Hurry up!" Musa cried out "There they are! Winter and I see them!" Bloom cried out as we saw all the Pixies in front of us "I sure hope this works. We better pronounce this right." I said as Bloom and I landed behind the Pixies.

"𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒖𝒎 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒔." Bloom and I said as we both concentrated and casted the incantation spell together and hit the Pixies. 𝐼 ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑑... I thought as Bloom and I flew down to our knees exhausted "It worked!" I said smiling as the Pixies all stopped walking "What are we doing?" Crystal asked, "We must get back to our bonded fairies and lend them a hand." Tune said making me smile.

After saving the Pixies, it was a brand new day and Flora, Layla, and I were outside in the garden. "You're sure the poem was about me?" Flora asked Layla and I "Well, it wasn't finished, but what else could go with fauna except 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒂?" Layla asked.

"Layla and I really think you should send him a message, tell him how you feel." I told Flora "I'm not sure about that, but maybe I'll send him a little something." Flora said smiling at us.
