Chapter 66 ( Short )

( A/n: Part 2 of Breakneck Bog )

Throughout the way to Breakneck Bog, Fishlegs was trying to convince Meryl, Astrid, Onyx, and Hiccup to turn back.

Fishlegs: What if I gave you something from my mother? Or I could give you my mother!-

Onyx and Meryl glared at Fishlegs for his suggestion.

Fishlegs: ( a bit scared ) Nevermind. Onyx, Meryl, please stop glaring at me.

Astrid: The fooooog...the foooooooooog...

Fishlegs: AH! Tears, Astrid? Is that what you want to see?

Hiccup and Meryl then spotted the island.

Hiccup: Look!

Meryl: There it is.... I still don't get why you call it Breakneck Bog.

( Meanwhile, On Breakneck Bog )

We see the giant bug dragon from before, but more clearly revealing that it was a full grown scalewalker dragon, he was colored like a wasp, and had dark blue eyes, he was using his front talons to make binoculars and watched as the five dragon riders landed on Breakneck Bog.

( A/n: This is the " giant bug dragon " that Johann met. What kind of Scalewalker do you think he is? And what role do you think he'll play in this story? )

??? ( " Giant bug dragon " ): ( happily: ) Pumpkin came home! Oh, and she brought friends. Best go say " hello ", can't be rude.

( Back with the two Scalewalkers and three dragon riders )

The five dragon riders and their dragons have been walking around the island, looking for any signs of Johann's boat, but nothing.

Hiccup: I don't get it. We flew all around the island. No boat.

Astrid: Not even the remains of a boat.

Onyx: And there's too many new scents for me or Meryl to track down the scent of a boat.

Astrid: Boats have scents?

Meryl: Yep, boats reek of wet wood.

Fishlegs: You know who would take a boat? A Fog Monster!

All the dragons then began growling suddenly.

Hiccup: ( to Toothless: ) Settle down, bud.

Onyx: ( to Fáfnir: ) It's okay, Fáfnir.

Meryl: ( to Goofball: ) You okay, Goof?

Fishlegs: ( to Meatlug: ) It's okay, Meatlug. It's okay.

Suddenly, everyone heard a strange sound was heard from the distance, causing them to become silent.

Astrid: What was that?

Hiccup: Only one way to find out.

Hiccup began leading the group in the direction the sound came from.

Fishlegs: Wait a minute! You don't go towards the weird scary sound!

Astrid: Yeah, we do.

Meryl: We always do.

Onyx: Even if there's a high chance we might get killed because of it.

Fishlegs: I hate that about us.
