Chapter 64

( A/n: Part 4 of Defiant One )

Liv, Hiccup, Toothless, Alpha, and Snotlout, who was no longer paralyzed, found a forge, and watched from afar.

Liv: ( points a claw to the forge with a smile ) Connecting rod.

Hiccup: Yes. We just need to wait until the blacksmith leaves, and then I can sneak in there and fix the connecting rod.

Snotlout: Ugh, I still taste the mint leaves. We just had to find a dragon that can paralyze you with a sting like Meryl-

Alpha points his stinger at Snotlout, growling at him to shut up.

Snotlout: Okay, okay, calm down. No need for the stinging.

Alpha just huffs in response, and lowers his stinger.

( Meanwhile with Stoick and the riders )

Stoick, Gobber, and the teens were looking for Hiccup, Snotlout, and Toothless, Gobber was riding on Hookfang, which wasn't an easy task. Evergreen was roaring, trying to call out for Hiccup and Toothless, as she flew beside Meryl and Goofball.

Gobber: Waaaah, whoa! Easy there! Whoo, dragon! Good thing I packed my iron skivvies. That's it, dragon. Follow your master's scent. Ah, Onyx, Meryl, can one of you tell him to calm down?

Onyx: Uh... Yeah, about that...

Meryl: He is very panicked, we can barely understand him right now.

Astrid: It can't be that hard for Hookfang. It's Snotlout.

Tuffnut: Are we there yet?

Stoick: NO!

Ruffnut: I have to go to the bathroom!

Stoick: You should have gone before we left.

Tuffnut: ( to Ruffnut: ). That's what your helmet's for.

Meryl: Ew! I swear, you two are getting weirder by the day.

Gobber: Hang on. I think the dragon's got a sniff!

( On Outcast island )

Liv, Hiccup, Toothless, Alpha, and Snotlout were making there way to the blacksmith stall. Liv made a way for Toothless so he could go in the forge and the group goes inside.

Hiccup: Come on, hurry! We don't know how long the blacksmith is going to be gone.

Snotlout: ( wasn't focused ) Betty Bodabought a bit of bitter butter, and she said " This butter's bitter. " If I bought a bit of bitter butter, it would-

Hiccup: (to Snotlout:) What...are...you...doing?

Snotlout: Enjoying my tongue again.

Liv then sniffed the air, and suddenly used her abilities to levitate Hiccup, Alpha, Toothless, and Snotlout to the ceiling, and she climbed onto the ceiling and hung herself upside down with her claws and tail hanging onto the rafting.

Snotlout: WHA-

Liv: Shush. Outcasts.

A few outcast soldiers walked into the forge, not looking up.

Outcast soldier #1: Oh, where is she? Alvin will have our heads if we don't find the beast.

Liv then used her abilities to have something thrown outside, in the opposite direction of the forge, which tricked the soldiers into going outside, thinking that she was somewhere away from the forge.

Outcast soldier #1: There she is!

Outcast soldier #2: Here, Mistake! Come here, girl! Now's not the time to play!

Liv chuckled as she climbed down from the ceiling and carefully leviated the two riders, the night fury, and her speed stinger friend down on the ground.

Hiccup: Good job, Liv. That was a close one.

Snotlout: Okay, I have to admit it... That was awesome. But, let's not tell the twins that she can leviate people.

Liv: The twins?

Snotlout: ( to Liv: ) You'll meet them later.

Hiccup: Okay, let's fix the connecting rod and get out of here.

Liv watched as Hiccup grabbed the connecting rod from Toothless's tail, and began fixing it. Liv stretched like a cat, accidentally knocking a few things down, luckily Snotlout and Alpha caught the objects before they could hit the ground and make noise.

Snotlout: Careful, kid. Try not to get us caught.

Liv: ( looks down with a sad expression ) Sorry...

Alpha points his stinger at Snotlout with a growl.

Snotlout: It's okay. Just be careful.

( Meanwhile with Stoick and the riders )

The dragon riders were still searching for Hiccup, Snotlout, and Toothless, when Evergreen saw something in the water, and flew down and scooped it up, revealing it to be Toothless's tail, making Meryl's eyes widen in worry and shock, making everyone else worried.

Meryl: That's Toothless's tail.

Fishlegs: Oh, no, Toothless lost his tail. If Toothless doesn't have a tail, he can't fly. If he can't fly, they can't fly. If they can't-

Stoick: Enough! Those boys are probably stranded at sea. We fly close to the water.

Ruffnut: Good, because I really need to rinse out my helmet.

Onyx: Ah, gross, Ruffnut!

( Back with the group stuck on Outcast island )

Liv sniffed the air as Hiccup finished fixing the connecting rod and she, Alpha, and Toothless growled at the entrance of the forge. Hiccup and Snotlout turned around and saw Savage.

Savage: And what are we making, kids?

Hiccup: A-

Liv roared angrily at Savage, and Alpha ran at Savage and before Savage or the other outcasts with him could even say or do anything, Alpha stung them and the , paralyzing Savage and the outcast soldiers.

Snotlout: Okay, I like the little guy now.

Alpha and Liv smiled proudly, Hiccup then used the connecting rod to fix Toothless's tail.

Hiccup: Come on, let's go!

They quickly went outside, Hiccup and Snotlout were on Toothless, and Alpha was on Liv's back. As they took off into the skies, they heard Alvin yelling in anger below them, and Snotlout saw that a boulder was heading straight towards Liv and Alpha without them or Hiccup and Toothless knowing.

Snotlout: Kid! Blast the object behind you!

Hiccup: What?!

Snotlout: Trust me!

Liv did what Snotlout said, she turned, and blasted a blast of fire at the boulder as it was seconds from hitting her and Alpha, the boulder turned into nothing but ash within seconds.

Hiccup: Good job, Snotlout! That was close!

Snotlout: Snotlout, Snotlout! Oi, oi, oi!

Liv cutely tilted her head to the side in confusion.

Snotlout: ( to Liv: ) It's a thing I do, you'll get used to it, kid.

When the two riders and the night fury weren't noticing as they saw the figures of the other riders ahead, Alpha told Liv to go west, and to an island far from there. Liv made a silent whine in response as she didn't want to leave her new friends, and Alpha told her that they'll meet them again, so she did what Alpha told her, and flew west into the clouds without Hiccup, Toothless, or Snotlout noticing that she'd had left.

Evergreen roared happily when she saw Hiccup and Toothless, and she flew to them in full speed, the other riders, Stoick, and Gobber following her.

Meryl: Boys! Thank the gods you are alright!

Stoick: Son, you're safe!

Gobber: We never had a doubt.

Snotlout: Hello? Other half of the team. Hookfang! I'm still mad at you! Oh, and- ( sees that Liv and Alpha were gone ) Uh, Hiccup where's the kid and the little guy?

Tuffnut: Little guy?

Hiccup: What? ( Looks around for Liv and Alpha ) Liv?! Alpha?! Where did they go? They were just with us.

Onyx: Wait, Liv was with you?

Hiccup: Yes, we were stranded on Outcast island and we were able to save Liv and her dragon, Alpha. But, they're gone.

Stoick, Gobber, and the other riders quickly began calling out for Liv and looked for her, hoping to find her and her dragon.

Astrid: Liv!

Tuffnut: Mista- I mean, Liv!

Ruffnut: Liv! Here, girl! Follow the sound of our voices!!

Fishlegs: Hiccup, I don't think she's anywhere near here.

Hiccup: but... Why would she... I don't understand, I thought...

Stoick: It's okay, son. I'm sure, we will see her again. Let's go home for now.

Hiccup: ( sighs in defeat ) Okay.

( Meanwhile with Liv and Alpha )

Alpha and Liv landed on a island that was far from Berk, and they land in front of a cave. Alpha went in the cave first, and Liv stayed outside as she was nervous about going in, but Alpha soon roared out to her, telling her to come inside and meet the pack.

Liv hesitantly walks inside the cave, and her eyes widened as she saw Alpha with a pack of smaller versions of him without stripes, inside the cave with a burning branch in the middle acting as a campfire.

The other speed stingers approached Liv and began sniffing at her in curiosity after she laid down by the fire, Alpha quickly told his pack Liv's name and that she was now apart of their pack, he also told them that once winter comes, they will be looking for the place called " Berk " to make it their new home and reunite with the vikings that helped Alpha and Liv escape Outcast island. The other speed stingers quickly agreed, and then one of the female speed stingers went up to Liv and laid down beside her, and soon Alpha and the rest of the pack snuggled up to Liv, as to keep her warm and Alpha told her to get some rest, making Liv smile as she began to fall asleep.
