Chapter 25

Annabeth

I bolted up right way too quickly. I winced and rubbed my lower abdomen. I've been waiting for Will to tell me if theres any bad news. Everytime i ask him he hurry's on out of here like i'm on fire. Thats not why i suddenly bolted.

I was having a nice sleep and suddenly it turned into a nightmare. There were rogues, hundreds of them in a circle looking at one person in particular.... Rachel Elizabeth Dare. She had blood streaming down the right side of her face, she had a black left eye and shallow cuts on her ribs. In the dim light her aurban hair looked darker and cast shadows over her face. He doesn't have a soft spot for girls..... It made me angry, Rachel is like a sister and i can't do anything to help.

But thats not what shocked me, Rachel looked directly at me! I looked behind me and no one was there, just a little exit. How did she know i was there? I didn't have long to think as i felt a powerful aura. That aura was ancient, powerful and important...... Thats when i saw what was lying at her feet. Thats when i woke up.

Rachel Elizabeth Dare had the, not so lost anymore, Epirus Bow! How she found it i have no clue! But her and the Epirus Bow together is dangerous! The Oracle of Delphi and the Epirus Bow with in inches is a destructable weapon. 

The Bow itself was already a indestructable weapon..... but with the Oracle that makes it ten times more powerful. I just hope they are dumb enough to not notice that Rachel was the Oracle. If they did then they were at a advantage. I need to tell Chiron and Percy.

Disrupting my thoughts Will creeped in. Not realising i'm awake. I layed back down and pretened to be asleep. He came over and checked on me. Put a hand on my wrist. I jumped and screamed.

"AHHHHH!" Will screamed and fell back knocking supplies off the table. I fell back laughing hard. His face was pale and his breathing has picked up. He had a hand over his heart, trying to calm down the beating.

I wiped tears away, wincing every time i laughed. I just had to look at his face and i was off again. He got up and brushed himself off.

"Never do that again Annabeth.... please?" The last bit was a plea. I nodded, my laughter just a chuckle now.

"SO Doc! You going to tel me the damage the knife done?" I quickly grabbed his shirt to stop him from bolting. He looked at me wide eyed.

"You sure you want me to tell you Annabeth? Percy can tell you when he gets back?" I reeled back.

"Percy's gone? Where?!" He just left me! Bastard!

"He had to do stuff for camp..... i just came from a meeting and Percy's found something and someone...." He trailed off as he checked the equipment, completeconcentration.

"What had he found?" I was eager.

"He's found Rachel..... she's in captive with the rogues." He looked at me, i just nodded telling him to carry on. "And he also found the-"

"Epirus Bow?!" Will was shocked but nodded.

"Yes..... how'd you know?"

"Long story....." I relaxed as Will took my blood pressure.

"Blood pressure normal..... your responding to the healing, thats good....." He said crossing things off and writing.

"And the bad news?" I asked as he unstrapped the blodd pressure thingy. He opened his mouth to say something when someone knocked the door. I threw my hands in the air in exaspperation.

"O COME ON!" The door opened and Thalia poked her head in. She smiled, her lightning blue eyes lighting up with happiness. She walked in and closed the door and walked towards me. I turned to Will and he seemed happy.

"You know what.... Thalia you can tell her the bad news!" With that he ran out leaving a wide eyed Thalia.

"NO WAY! WILL SOLACE YOU GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" She charged out after him. "WILL!" He didn't come back. Thalia walked in, angry but sad.

"Can some one please tell me whats wrong!?" I was getting pissed off now. Thalia sat down and let out a breath. She looked up, her eyes filled with sadness.

"I'm so sorry Annabeth......" Thalia whispered. "Because of the angle the knife went in and the damage it done..... theres a 70% chance of you not being able to have children......" She looked at me, her eyes filled with sorrow. "I know how much you wanted children......"

I just stared at her, not comprehending. This can't be happening. I feel like my world is falling apart. Me and Percy have always talked about having children and settling down some day and start a family.... now that might not happen.

"Does Percy know?" I asked holding back tears.

"Yes..... he's abosolutely disdraught..... but he still loves you...." I couldn't hold it in. Long, heart breaking sobs escaped my mouth. Right now my world is falling apart.....

Percy POV

I turned to Mick. He was still looking at Rachel, his eyes softening. If i'm not mistaken he likes Rachel. I smirked. Mick turned to me, his expression cold.

"What?!" I held my hands up.

"Nothing..... by the way she's off limits....." I said. He spun his head and glared at me.

"Dude! You can't have two girls! You'vs got Annabeth! So why is she off limits?"

"Because...... if you let me finished...... She's the Oracle of Delphi, she can't date." His face slacked.

"Oh....." He looked back at me. "So how do you know her?" He motioned his head in her direction.

"Thats a long story..... Long story short, we met at Hoover Dam, i almost killed her, roughly six months later she appeared at m school enrolling there, almost killed her again, went on a quest said a few prophecies and here we are." I shrugged.

"Ok.... Interesting..... How we going to get out of here?" He said. I thought.

"Ok.... you go back to the power thing, finish what your doing." He nodded.

"What about you?" I looked at him and smiled.

"Its time for a friend to friend reunion." I smirked and we got to work.

Mick quietly climbed down, he stoll a second glance at Rachel and ran off. I climbed down and crouched. Ok i need to time this perfectly. I heard Dameon shout and a scream. I shot up.

"DAMEON STOP IT!" I walked through a path way the rogues made. They were shocked that someone  managed to get passed. A six year old playing a trumpet would be able to get passed.

Dameon turned and smiled. He stood behind a sobbing Rachel. He took a few steps back from hr so he was right at the edge with the crowd. Wasting no time i ran to Rachel and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm sorry i took so long..... " I whispered, soothing her.

"I don't care how long you took.... i'm just happy you got me and didn't forget...." She sobbed into my shoulder.

"I can't forget about you your family!" I picked her up bridal style then placed her on her feet. I sheiled her body with mine and turned to Dameon. He smirked. That got me even more angry. He leant against his sword, as if he was innocent.

"How'd you get past my guards Jackson?" His dark eyes bore holes into me. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction.

"They aren't exactly a challenged to get past Dameon..... If i were you i'd look into getting new guards, They aren't..... what you call it..... on the ball." I smirked.

"Their people Perseus not dogs." He countered.

"Least dogs will put up a fight!" He just glared at me, knowing i won. In my mind i was doing a celebration dance and patting myself on the back for being quick and smart. Then something came to me, something Annabeth said, "Your gob will get you into trouble someday....." at first i just laughed. But now, she has a point. I think i just signed my death warrent. Oh well, brought it this far no point in backing out..... Thats when i think i went too far.

"What you're so scared of Dameon..... Going to let one of your minions do your dirty work for ya..... Just like you done with Annabeth." The smile dissapeared from my face and i glared at him.

"Your not worth my time Jackson!" He snarled.

"Well i seemed like i was worth your time three days ago Dameon!" I spat back. I spread out my arms and gestured to eveyone. "What you got to loose!" Rachel gripped my arm.

"Percy thats not a good idea..." She breathed in my ear. I tilted my head slightly so she can hear me.

"Don't worry Rachel.... I've fought him before i know his moves...... and besides i've got a few new moves of my own." I breathed back. She gave a slight nod, fear in her eyes.

"So whats it going to be Dameon?" I said, pointing my sword at him. "Me and you? Or if you chicken out and want to challenge me i'll take on all of them then you?" I think i had him at chicken. His face went bright red, he took a deep breath and looked at me.

"Fine, you have a challenge Jackson.... What are we betting on?" A crooked smile appeared on his face.

"If i win you leave..... you leave me alone you leave Annabeth alone you leave my whole camp and camp Jupiter alone and never bother us again, and we get the Epirus Bow." I said, not taking no as a answer. He nodded, thinking of his.

"If i win..... We get the Epirus Bow and that traitor Mick i'm pretty sure he's with you, you wouldn't come alone.... And you join us." His smile reappeared. My face slacked and i hesitated. Then again its the only way.

"Swear on the River Styx?" We shook hands.

"I swear on the River Styx!" Thunder rumbled and he smiled.

"You have five minutes Jackson, prepare yourself then we'll fight." I turned and hasitly grabbed Rachel by the arm. I pulled her to one side, to the area that was ours for the next five minutes.

"Rachel when we're fighting follow that path. I have a friend waiting at the other end tell him your a friend of me and show him the Bow...." I paused as she sunk this in. "Then i want you and Mick to run for camp and don't come back." Her eyes widened.

"What! Percy no!" She started shaking her head.

"Rachel yo have to! If i don't win then at least you and Mick are safe and so is the Bow! Your the only chance we have... You need to do this, not just for me for Annabeth as well, she'll need you more than ever if i don't make it back." A tear formed in Rachels eyes.

"Ok...." She whispered. "I'll do it....."

"Also.... If i don't make it back give Annabeth this.... And tell her i love her." She nodded. I opened my mouth to say more when i heard Dameon.

"Hurry up Jackson! Lets fight!" I turned away and looked aat him.

Since last time i fought him allot has changed. His muscles are bigger, but strenght isn't everything. I don't kno why but somethig was telling me to touch the ground. I followed my instincts and done that. I lightly brushed it with my finger tips and closed my eyes. I felt a twist in my gut and a roaring was in my ears. I shot up and stared wide eyed at the ground. Water! Theres water under here!

Then i remembered, not all of this was land a thousand years ago. Most of it was uder water. I quickly ran plans throuh my head. i wasn't like Annabeth, where plans come naturally and quickly. This took time but i've finally came up with one.

"Ready?!" I looked up, a glint of triumphant in my eyes.

"Bring it!" And with that we charged.
