SasoDei fanfic chap 7 {This Love}

Chapter 7

"These memories"

I slowly creep down the hall, keeping my back pressed against the hard stone wall. I can hear slight wet noises, like water dripping on the stone floor. So many memories come flooding back; having meetings with the Akatsuki... Living with Sasori... I remember a particularly vivid time, when Sasori and I were training together not even a week ago...

(Start flashback)

I throw a kuinai at a tree target as Sasori throws one at another. I hit the bullseye dead on. I look at the tree Sasori hit. His kuinai is a bit off the center. "Ha! Looks like I beat you this time, Danna!" I laugh. He hits me playfully on the shoulder and smiles. "Whatever... I totally let you win!" "Yeah, right!" I chuckle as I wrap my arms around his neck. He smirks and pulls me closer. I lean up and kiss him quickly on the mouth. "It's getting dark, we should head back."

(End flashback)

I sigh. Things went from being so perfect, to becoming so chaotic and terrifying so quickly... It takes me a moment to remember how to get to the room, but then I realize it's a few steps away, on the opposite wall. You can barely see the outline of the opening, but it's definitely there; a thin line in a door like shape on the wall. I have to remember how they opened it...

(Start flashback)

Konan and Pain walk down the hallway, and I scramble to hide behind the door to my room. Pain ordered us so stay in our rooms, but I want to know why they're out... Konan looks behind her, then looks back. I see her mutter something to Pain, and he nods. He presses a stone block on the wall, it has a small almost in perceivable black line around it. The wall seems to collapse in on itself, and they walk inside the wall, and it shuts behind them.

(End flashback)

That's it! I have to look for the black line. I walk over to the wall, and I scan it for the particular stone. Finally, I find it. I gently push on it, and it caves in, and the wall slides aside and sinks in. I step inside, and the door slides closed behind me. It's completely dark for a second, then, it seems like a glow emanates from the walls. They must be infused with chakra. I look around for a bit to try and get my bearings. I'm in a very small room: it's about elevator sized, and there's a door right across from me. I turn the knob. It's not locked. My heart is pounding out of my chest as I open the door.

(Start flashback)

"Hurry up!" Sasori says playfully as I bend down to pick up a log. We're collecting firewood. "Okay, okay!" I laugh. "Oh my god I'm so cold, Deidara." I look at him. "Me too, let's head back."

(End flashback)

This is either going to be the best, or the worst thing that's going to happen to me. Im either going to have to witness him dead, or I'll get to save him. (If he's there at all) I open the door all the way, and step inside.
