A Day of Work

19:39, 2 April 2023

Hawks' POV

It was finally time to go back to work. I hadn't been back to work since I joined the LOV. And god it feels weird to say that. I entered the agency like normal. I greeted the woman at the front desk with a smile. She's been going through a break-up so I've been extra nice to her.

I walked to the elevator and clicked the button for the 11th floor, where my office was. When I got up there, I entere my room and closed the door behind me. I looked around. I hated being here so much. There was a picture on my desk of Miruko and I hanging out. I took the picture last year when we decided to go to an amusement park together on New Years' Eve.

I sat down at my desk and turned my computer on. I had some emails that I still needed to answer. When the laptop booted up, the first thing I saw was my lockscreen. It was also Miruko and I. Mirko has known me since we were kids, and she is the only person who even knows my real name. I take pride in our friendship.

I pulled up my first email and groaned when I read it. It was my boss. He wanted to check in on how it was going. I started typing back to him, telling him about what was going on. I kept out the part about me being attracted to Dabi and told him about them barely trusting me, but it'll get there. I told him about Twice's weakness and that I would try to get it done soon. But it migh take longer than we think.

I sent the email and then checked my other ones. As I was answering another email, there was a knock on my door before it opened. I glanced up to see Tsukuyomi. He sat down in the chair in front of me after he closed the door. "The lady at the front desk, Jinie, I think it is, told me to come up here. How've you been?"

I sent the email and then turned off my computer and turned my full attention to him. "I've been good. I've got a new mission from my boss but unfortunately, I can't talk about it."

Tsukuyomi sighed and put his head back. "That's nice. Have you found a boyfriend yet?"

I laughed but then stopped, immediately thinking of Dabi. But then I shook my head. "No. I haven't."

Tsukuyomi's eyes widened and he leaned forward. "You have! Or at least you like someone! Who is it?"

My eyes widened and I pushed my chair back in surprise that he was reading me so well. "What?! No! I don't like anyone!"

Tsukuyomi only laughed at me. "I can see it so clearly! It's like Midoriya trying to hide his crush on Uraraka. Or Bakugo trying to hide how much he hates Midoriya! It's just not possible."

I shook my head. "I don't like him. He's just someone that I've been around lately."

Tsukuyomi stared at me, as if expecting me to crack. But then he just stood up. "Oh well. Endeavor wants to talk to us. He's waiting in the meeting room."

I stood up and followed him out of the room. We went to the floor below us, where the meeting rooms were, and we entered the room. Eneavor was silently sitting in one of the chairs in the fair end of the room. I sat down with Tsukuyomi and we both faced Endeavor. "What did you need, Enji?"

He only scowled. "Don't call me that."

"Whatever you say, dude." I smiled annoyingly.

Endeavor sighed and leaned forward. "I need you to help me train my son. I need you to show him that I'm not being extra hard on him just because he's my son."

I shrugged. "Well I can't do that."

Endeavor furrowed his eyebrows. "And why not?"

I smiled. "Because you are being extra hard on him just because he's your son. You wouldn't train anyone else like that. Actually you just straight up wouldn't train someone else. You would have one of your assistants do it. Or in this case, me."

Endeavor sighed. "Hawks. I need you to help me. I will pay you for it."

I sighed. "I don't need the money. And I don't have the time anyway."

Endeavor lifted an eyebrow. "And why not?"

Tsukuyomi answered for me. "Because he has a boyfriend."

I slammed my hand down on the table and laughed. "No! No I don't have a boyfriend! I just have a mission that I am really focused on right now. I don't have time to take on extra tasks. Maybe my assistants do but-" I thought of something and immediately smiled. "I know! Tsukuyomi could train him. He can show him how I've been training him here. And maybe my sidekicks could bring him to fights and he can see that it's not much different."

Endeavor stared at me for a few seconds before sighing. "Fine. I'll take it. I'll pay you no more than 66,000 Yen"

My eyes widened. "That much?"

Endeavor cocked his head. "What? Do you want more?"

I shook my head and laughed. "No no no! That's amazing! I'll take the money no problem!"

Endeavor nodded and got up. "I'll right you a check and have your secretary send it to your bank account." He looked at Tsukuyomi. "And you. Be here tomorrow after school. Shoto is coming with you."

Tsukuyomi bowed. "Yes, Sir. I'll be here."

Endeavor and Tsukuyomi left the room, and I followed after them. I was so glad that I was able to get past that. And now that I didn't really have anything else to do, it was time to meet the league at their base.
