As a couple weeks went on and trial motions were being thrown around by the defense team the tabloids had gotten ahold of the story and Brenna was making headline news.

Olivia was sitting on the couch trying to get Nadia and Naomi asleep but the phone kept ringing almost off the hook. Elliot was frustrated  and finally unplugged it. "Can't those damn reporters just back off already?!" He yelled.

Olivia sighed as Nadia began to cry in her arms yet again. "They always have to publicize cases like this and with brennas celebrity status it ...it just makes it worse."

"Maybe I should have my mother come take the twins for a bit while we get some of this settled." Elliot said trying to calm down.

Olivia hesitated but nodded "maybe that's not a bad idea. We should be focusing more on Brenna for a little bit and the kids aren't getting any sleep with the paparazzi outside and the constant calls."

Elliot sighed "I'll give her a call." He said before leaving the room.

Brenna overheard her parents talking and it made her feel terrible. She felt like she was just causing them stress and pain and now her sisters were going to be sent away for a while. She bit her lip then packed a small backpack with some clothes and her favorite stuffed animal and tried to sneak out the back.

Elliot was just ending the call with his mother when he noticed Brenna. "Brenna sweetie  what are you doing?"

Brenna froze not realizing elliot was out here. "I...I'm leaving."

Elliot shook his head "what? No your not young lady." He said making his way over to her and kneeling slightly to her level. "Why would you want to leave?" He asked his 10 year old.

"I'm making everyone unhappy. You, mama, my friends." She sighed and wouldn't look at him.

"Oh kid." He sighed "we aren't unhappy with you. The situation is just stressful but that's not your fault."

"But your sending Nadia and Naomi away. Mama will hate me when thier gone." She sniffles.

"We aren't sending them away they are just gonna spend a little time with thier grandma so we can help you and get ourselves together too." Elliot said. "And your mama could never hate you. She loves you just as much as Naomi and Nadia. If she didn't she wouldn't have fought so hard to get you back in her life."

Brenna hugged him as tears fell down her cheeks. "I just want to make this stop. I don't know why some people don't believe  me."

Elliot held her face in his hands and said "everyone who matters believes you bren. Those reporters and stuff they just tell lies to sell papers. Me and your mom and the whole squad believe you and that is what matters you understand?"

Brenna nodded and hugged him once more.

Elliot kissed her head and lead her back inside.
