Chapter 7

It was a regular school day and all i could think of was Joshua . I wasn't all into him but the way he speaks gives me a lot of inspiration towards my art side . I liked how he was made of poetry . I'm attracted to him and i'm not sure what is making me want to have him for as long as i live .

It was History class and as usual , Lucas would be sitting behind me . I didn't turn around throughout the entire lesson to poke mockery at him and it was the first . I didn't realise he would notice the change .

"Thats weird . You hadn't spoken a word of mockery at me today" Lucas said as we were walking out of the class for lunch .

"You're welcome" I bowed at him

"I'm guessing you had a great weekend ?"

"It was more than just great Lucas . It was everything" i smiled softly

Lucas smiled back and he awkwardly adjusted his bag strap before wanting to say something . But before he could , Riley interrupted him .

"Ooh look who's in love" Riley cooed

"I'm not in love . I just think he's amazing"

Riley smirked "Of course you do"

"So is there gonna be another date ?" she added

"This weekend" I beamed at the both of them

"Another date ?" Lucas asked

I nodded "Yea"

The three of us walked along the hallway to look for Farkle and headed our way to lunch . I didn't spoke much to them that day . I only talked about Joshua and that was pretty much it .

At lunch , we were talking about the new assignment that Mr Matthews had made us do and surprisingly me and Lucas were on the same team while Riley ended up with Farkle . The only reason why i'm always paired up with Lucas by Mr Matthews is because he doesn't want his daughter anywhere near Lucas so he makes me the barrier . I was ok with that apparently , knowing i get to be with Lucas but through time i realised that non of it was ever seen as flattering . I mean i'm being made as a wall between Lucas and Riley and to think that i'd ever get a chance with Lucas is unfeasible .

In between one of our discussion , Lucas decided to make the atmosphere unbearable for me . He turned to Riley as he paused a couple of seconds then took a deep breath before muttering something that i would've wish he'd be saying that to me instead .

"Riley" he called her .

Riley turned to Lucas , "yeeaa"

"This Saturday .. We could ..maybe you know .. Go to the library together to search for resources for our project"

She stared at him confusingly "But you're doing the project with Maya"

"Yea Huckleberry , you forgetting me ?" I interrupted

Lucas shook his head , "Well the project isn't due until next week and this weekend you have a date planned with your 'Mr Amazing' while Farkle has some other things going on so in the mean time since me and Riley are free , we could gather some resources for early prep"

"So just the two of us ?" Riley asked beaming

"Yea and ... it could be like a date" Lucas shot me a glance while he looked hopeful to Riley's eyes .

Riley lit up , "A study date ?"

"Yea , it'll be fun" Lucas beamed at her and then to me and Farkle .

I raised the corners of my brows and looked at Farkle who's been silent the whole time because he was too busy reading about the history of John Quincy Adam . He's already started off research . I turned my head back at Lucas and Riley and sneered before i mumbled , "Whatever you say" .

The thought of Lucas and Riley going out on a date bothered me although it was bound to happen anyway but i somethings just makes me wish i was the one he'd be all over instead .
