Dabi got changed in a trench coat and a tattered outfit. 

Cam:oh no...no no come on. 

we watched the girls and shopped for dabi at the same time. i used the money i had saved since i got paid more than enough to feed a family of 4 for 10 years. he seemed annoyed and tired by the end of the shopping spree, alex finally texted me and i told lily she was good to head home and that ill be there before her. 

Alex:whos this?

dabi:im not sure, ive just been following them all day. 

cam:very funny. hes authorized...kinda by accident. i already did background checks. 

dabi:wait what really?

cam:yea. and everything youve told me is true. except one thing. 

dabi:whats that?

cam:your birth name. 

we walked in and waiting for me was lily parents. they were talking to a hero, the number 3 hero to be exact. Idia. i shoved dabi to the outside of the door so no one would see him i looked at alex and told him to come with me. we walked in and bowed and i checked all the security measures. he did perfect. and the maid made the place spotless. i sent the messages out that alex was ready and bowed as we left. 

Idia:wait. id like to speak with you. youre Ms.Lilys guard. 

cam:yes sir. 

Idia:so that will make you my guard soon as well. 

Cam:after my 3 year break yes sir. 

Idia:....whats your name? 

Cam:cam, im 23, and my quirk is teleportation. Apologizes but i must get back to my duties. 

i walked out and alex and i stood infront of the door along with dabi and lily and candice. 

Cam:parents and the number 3 hero. hes smart, fast, and one hell of a bad conversationalist. but hes quick and to the point. now bags go to alexs house. candice i suggest home or hang out with alex if youre willing to wait for details. Alex congrats you move to your assignment next week and no one tells anyone about dabi. got it?

i grabbed dabis hand and left. everyone except alex looked completely lost. he shoved Lily into the room and brought candice over. we were trained to entertain any and all guests so he should do a fine job and hey maybe he'll get laid. i took dabi back to my place where he and i set up the guest room to be his permanent room.

dabi:so you really did background checks.

cam:of course. you think im just gonna let a stranger into my life without checking all his facts.

dabi:was it before or after i told you everything. 

cam:after. i didnt think youd come back so i didnt pay any mind to you. 

he smiled and we played some music as we washed all his clothes and cleaned. i checked the messages from her parents, lily, and alex, the wedding was on. shes happy with the choice of idia. now i have to figure out if dabi can stay in my life. there has never been a time where the guards S/Os and the familys really met. only to drop off the kids and even then usually thats the guards jobs. but im getting ahead of myself. dabi might not even last 6 months with me. we finished and started talking about his actual name as we sat on his new bed. 

Dabi:the problem is...i was pronounced dead as a kid. so when i didnt die...i changed my name. like i told you my family wasnt very...loving? so if i tell you my name im just telling you a life thats gone for good. a person i can never be again. 

Cam:...tell me your real name dabi. 

Dabi:are you sure?

cam:if i wasnt i wouldnt ask. 

Dabi:ok my..my name is T

Lily:OH MY GOD CAM WHERE ARE YOU LOOK AT THE RING! oh my god!!! 

cam:i know i cant kill her. i know that. but JESUS CHRIST WOMAN WHAT NOW

lily:aw did i stop your O?

Cam:no you stopped my answer. ok let me see. 

Idia:hello cam. 

Cam:idia. h...hello im so sorry i didnt know youd be here as well. give me one second please. 

i ran to the guest room and told dabi to go to my room through the connecting door and lock it, i said id explain later and i left the room and went straight to the kitchen after inviting them to sit and turning on the news. 

Idia:oh you dont have to. 

Lily:come on! forget the normalities lets just fawn over my ring, please?

cam:sorry lil, you know the rules. 

i set the two cups and macaroons which i had to make a note to get more, in front of the knew couple. i sat by lily congratulating her. 

Idia:it seems i have you to thank for this. you convinced her to meet with me. so thank you. 

Cam:trust me it was easier than it sounds. now, lily you do understand the day of your wedding ill be asked to leave so i have no idea where youre going for the honeymoon. 

lily:no. youre supposed to be my maid of honor. 

cam:thats very sweet but no that will be candices job. lily, while yes you are my best friend and i feel honored that you call me your best friend. i am also nothing more than a job position. for your and your fiancés safety i must not know where you guys go for those months. and yes im allowed to see you after but no more than coffee. or a meal. im supposed to be looking for a S/O once your marriage starts. 

Lily:what about Dab

Cam:youre right i should order some fish for lunch tomorrow. dab? sounds delicious. 

idia:wh..what? 

lily saw my eyes change in anger. she shut her mouth and smiled agreeing that thats exactly what she was thinking. Soon idia went to start the car and lily asked me what happend. i explained that idia was one of the ones who was after dabi. he and his friend took his organization down. i asked her not to tell him about it. 

Lily:but hes...gonna be my husband. 

cam:youre right. if he asks about him then fine tell him, but i will state now as the contract stands during your engagement and marriage if our S/Os dont get along or one tries to hurt the other the guard is allowed to harm either party they choose. and if i do marry dabi, all his past is erased. he get a clean slate. all the crimes he commited go away. 

lily:...are you sure youre not a library on our family?

cam:yes. 

she hugged me and left. i went to my room where dabi was reading one of my old diary's i had shoved in a old box.
