21:52, 9 September 2025Sophia flinched slightly, hearing Raven screaming in pain from the dropship. She stood on watch with Jasper. Sophia was holding her rifle tightly as she looked around. Her mind drifted to Murphy. Despite everything that just happened, she couldn't help but be worried about him.
"Sophia?" Jasper looked over at his sister worriedly. Sophia looked at him before shaking her head. "I'm fine. Just thinking." She mumbled. "About Murphy?" Sophia went silent, making Jasper frown. "He's bad news, Soph. He was going to kill me--" "I don't think he would have. He wanted revenge on the people who wanted to hang him and played a part in it. You didn't do anything. Plus, if Harper is right, he's got a weird soft spot for me so I don't think he would have hurt you."
Jasper rolled his eyes slightly. "You're insane, you know that, right? Murphy was nuts. He was probably willing to kill us all just to save his ass." Sophia frowned in annoyance as she squinted at Jasper. "You don't know that!" "Oh, what and you do? Sophia, just because the others were grouping you two together and wanted to kick you both out, doesn't mean you know him or his actions."
Sophia opened her mouth to argue back, only to be cut off by an explosion in the sky. Sophia craned her head up, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Is that the ARK?" She questioned as the ARK crashed in the distant distance. Sophia turned around to go tell Clarke when the sound of shouting could be heard in the distance, followed by Finn running in.
"What did you do?" Sophia questioned as Finn stopped in front of her and Clarke. "I kicked the hornet's nest." He shrugged. "You brought the reapers?" Clarke questioned in annoyance. "I just bought us some time!" Finn argued back.
Sophia shook her head, letting the two talk as she went to grab her rifle and go back to her post, preparing for the inevitable attack.
"Clarke, they're coming to the gate!" Miller shouted from his post next to Sophia.
"Good. Because I got the rocket ready to fire... I think." Jasper said, "Then I'm closing the door!" Miller shouted. "Wait! We've still got people out there. Bellamy's not back yet." Clarke stopped Miller.
Sophia looked over at Jasper in the midst of the chaos, then back to Clarke. "We're going to get everyone inside by us time," Sophia said as she ran ahead, leading everyone they could find to the dropship.
Sophia's lungs were burning as she sprinted to the dropship, looking around as if doing a headcount. Finn, Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia...they were still missing. "Miller! We're running out of time! We need Clarke back here!" Sophia shouted over the commotion.
Miller frowned, nodding as he looked out again. "Clarke, you can't save everybody. Let's go! Let's go!" He quickly went out, pulling Clarke inside the dropship. As soon as they were inside, Sophia pushed the button to close the dropship.
Her eyes widened as one of the grounders jumped inside the ship before the door closed. Sophia quickly backed away towards her brother. Her heart raced as the grounder stared them all down.
"Anya, you can't win," Clarke said as the delinquents easily pinned Anya down. Jasper pushed another button, causing the rockets on the dropship to blast, killing the remaining grounders that were outside.
Sophia sighed in relief as she leaned against the dropship. It was over. It was finally over. The grounders lost. The delinquents won.
"So what are we going to do with her?" Sophia questioned, walking up beside Clarke.
"We keep her alive. She'll lead us to the others. We need to know how many more are out there. We can negotiate a deal with them." Clarke said, looking down at Anya.
"Are we sure that's a good idea? It was a miracle we didn't die just now. We don't know how many more are out there. We could die." Sophia frowned. "The ARK came down. We'll go investigate, get some extra help and go negotiate with the grounders." Clarke said, making Anya scoff.
Sophia frowned before making her way to the door. "We need to see if Finn and Bellamy are still out there. They had to of gotten away before the rockets went off." Sophia pushed the button as the doors opened.
They all started making their way out. Sophia frowned, looking around at all the charred corpses of the grounders. So many lives lost just now. Sophia couldn't help but wonder. Did Murphy get away? Was he still alive, or did a grounder kill him?
Sophia's thoughts were cut short when a canister was rolled in. "What-" "The hell is this?" Jasper frowned.
"Mountain Men," Anya muttered bitterly as a gas came from the canisters. Sophia stumbled slightly. Her eyes rolled back as she fell to the ground.
"Jasper..." she called out weakly. The last thing she saw were mysterious masked figures walking up to her and the others with guns drawn on them.
What was that infamous saying again? Out of the frying pan...and into the fire. From one threat to a new one. Suddenly, the grounders didn't seem so bad. Suddenly getting thrown back by an explosion caused by Murphy wasn't as terrible.
Murphy...maybe the Mountain Men got their hands on him, too. Maybe wherever she got taken to, maybe Murphy would be there too.
"Float...yourself..." Sophia weakly muttered to the mystery men before her eyes fully shut, and she fell unconscious with the others, being picked up and carried to an unknown location with the others.
