Heartbreak

Lena went home right after she left the hospital, it was for her own safety.

I haven't seen Eunice yet, but I hope to visit her today, I had called her earlier this week. She was happy to hear from me and I was glad to hear she's doing okay.

But I miss my little munchkin! I bought her a t-shirt that signifies our friendship, I have the same one. They're best friend shirts, I saw it at the mall and decided to pick it up.

While all this may sound like "good news" it's actually not.

Hoseok never has time for me, which I must understand, considering the fact he IS J-Hope from BTS, the group that hardly gets any rest, just like every hardworking kpop group out there.

Sigh.

He hasn't even called me, or messaged me, or even bother to reply to mine.

On top of that, Jimin practically hates me. He said it's my fault Eunice got hurt.

Technically speaking, it is my fault..

I slept with Joshua, but how was I supposed to know he was a psycho path?

The police has actually called me in for questioning, what I was informed scared the hell out of me.

Turns out that this isn't the first sick stunt Joshua pulls. In fact, he's on Korea's most wanted list.

He's known to sleep with girls and catch this obsession over them, the minute they try and cut him off, he goes wild. So wild he ends up murdering them in gruesome unhuman like manners.

I've heard a few cases..

There was one of this 21 year old woman, she was to be married the day after. Her bachelor party took place in a small venue she and her friends rented. Joshua was one of the "strippers" and ended up making her sleep with one last stranger (being him) before she dedicated her life to someone else.

On one night during her honeymoon, she was killed. Joshua had followed her and her husband to their desired vacation. Of course when she saw him again she freaked out and told him to fuck off.

But knowing Joshua...

That didn't happen.

Another case was about this young 19 year old girl whose dream was to become a top model. Joshua lied to her saying he was an agent of some sort, but of course there was an exchange.

After he got what he wanted, he continuously lied to her. Just so she can remain with him, it lasted for about a month until the girl clearly got the picture he was just a poser. A liar.

But of course, when she tried to cut him off, he did it first by cutting bits of her face off and feeding them to raccoons. All right before her eyes.

I heard she survived, however, she is now out of this world insane, and is locked away in a very secured mental hospital.

An fbi detective, Seung Jae, told me he's been trying to track down Joshua for years now. He said, "It's a case I'm willing to take to my grave. That guy needs to suffer the consequences until his very last breath."

At first I thought he was a devoted young man who has a strong passion for his career.

But...unfortunately, that was not the reason.

Eunah, was her name. Joshua's first and only true love. Also happened to be, detective Seung Jae's baby sister.

Eunah and Joshua were high school sweethearts, they did everything together. A typical high school love.

The time came when Eunah went away for college in a foreign country. Joshua promised to remain loyal and wait for her, but when she came back..

She changed.

It was pretty obvious she'd come back a different person, she was off to an unfamiliar country, she was bound to meet different people and get a whole new perspective at life.

Also a whole new perspective of boyfriend material...

Joshua was a simple restaurant boy, earning minimum wage and barely making a living.

But that wasn't enough for Eunah's new sophisticated personality. She was no longer interested in Joshua and told him, "It's over.."

That was Joshua's first and last break up, because after Eunah left him, he suffered severe depression and gained a severe bipolar disorder.

Along with a very strong obsession over Eunah.

Like any nice guy, he pleaded her, begged her, praised her, he did anything to get her back.

"Don't be pathetic, go away." Eunah would tell him almost every time.

Until one night where she slapped him and demanded he'd stay away.

With that cold shoulder, Joshua only added to his obsession over her.

He became her stalker.

Police found pictures of her, everywhere in his room, stuck to his walls, bulletin board, ceiling. He even had bed sheets and pillows of her. Even dolls...

The day came where Eunah got another boyfriend, a typical loyal fellow named Zack, he was a foreigner.

That day was the worst day for Joshua, it killed him to see her smile at, kiss, hug, caress, love, the new guy.

It was too much for Joshua that something triggered inside him that day, forming him into the horrific monster he is today.

One night, Eunah left work an hour earlier, she was in the parking lot, on her way to her car. When she was attacked, and kidnapped.

Joshua had her held hostage for 30 days, each day torturing her and starving her, also having his way with her.

Poor Eunah barely made it alive...

Because she didn't.

He killed her.

In the most gruesome way anything could possibly kill a human being.

He melted her eyes out, cut off her limbs, had her hunged, ripped out every internal organ she had starting with her heart.

Making sure she dies slowly while he enjoys the last second.

Since then, Joshua sleeps with women, whines and dines them, holy worships them, until they had enough.

Joshua hates reliving the past, when Eunah broke his heart after waiting over 3 years. For her.

So whenever the woman he admires wants to cut him off, he does it first. He kills them so he won't get hurt.

It's so fucked up but in a way I feel bad for him, although nothing makes me wants to trust him.

Life is just so hard on some people...

*knock knock*

Every time someone knocks at my door, I just think of that night Joshua attacked Lena.

I know he'll strike again.

"Mai? Are you home?"

Detective Seung.

I answered, "Hey Jae." I greeted. "What's up?"

"Hello, Mai. May I come in? I have something important to inform you about."

Let's hope it isn't anything bad.

I nod, "Of course. Come on in." I allowed him to proceed then shut the door and lock it.

He takes a seat at the couch where I sat right next to him.

He took a small remote kind of device thing and handed it to me. It had a big red button on it.

"What's this?" I asked taking it.

"A GPS." He answered.

"For what?" I asked.

"For incase he attacks you, wherever you are, press that button and I'll come find you." He said.

"Oh..ok?"

"Mai please, whatever you do. Take this with you. I've been trying to avenge my sister for a very long time. You have to help me catch him."

Suddenly I thought of a very dangerous risk.

I looked at him, "Detective Seung?"

"Yes?" He said.

"What if...I...meet up with him."

"Excuse me?"

"Would it help if I call him and meet up with him? You know like...lure him in and then contact you. I wait with him until you arrive and arrest him. Then we both win, he suffers and I'm free." I said.

Free from him, free to be with Hoseok.

"But.." he thought for a moment, "I guess that would work? Although your life would be at risk, this man has mutilated bodies, Mai."

"I know." I said.

"Are you willing to do it?" He asked.

Anything to make this nightmare stop, I could save hundreds of lives, thousands even.

I nod, "I am, I'm very willing." I said.

He nods, "Ok. I'll call my partner and let him know what the plan is. You're a very brave young woman, Mai."

I smiled, "Oh please.."

He gets up and proceeds to the door, I follow him.

He looked at me, "Let's hope all well ends well." He said.

Something my mom drilled in my head.

I chuckle, "Right. Bye Detective."

He waves and leaves.

Sigh.

Am I stupid?

I think I am..

But anyways!

It's time I go see my precious munchkin. I gather my belongings and proceeded to exit.

"Oh wait!" I said, "The GPS." I said and stuffed the little remote into my pocket.

Never leave without this. Just in case.

Her mom let me in nicely and I made my way upstairs.

I bought a bouquet of flowers for her, I know how much she loves tulips. Especially the yellow ones.

I walked in without knocking and gasped.

Hoseok is here..

"Mai." He greeted, "omg."

I dropped the bouquet and cling on to him, "Hoseok!"

I was not expecting him to be here ^-^

I pulled away, "Omg! What a surprise!"

He smiles and kisses me without thinking.

I smile within the kiss.

Oh my gosh this is amazing.

"Ahem.."

"Eunice!" I cheered and went to hug her carefully since she looks a bit ill still.

"Unnie~"

I pulled away, "Hey hun, how you feeling?" I caressed her cheek, "You still look cute as fuck."

She giggles, "Don't flatter me."

Hoseok: It's true, Jimin said so.

Eunice shook her head smiling.

"Are those for me?" She asked regarding the tulips.

I gasped, "Yes! I'm so sorry..I got all emotional and hyped once I saw Hoseok." I said.

My boyfriend giggled.

I handed her the tulips, she sniffed the scent and hummed.

"Oh and this too," I said handing her the shirt I got her.

She gasped happily, "What is it?" She asked.

"See for yourself ~" I encouraged.

She smiles and rips it open, "Omg cuute!" She squealed.

We hugged.

"Thank you, unnie. I missed you." She said.

"I missed you too.." I frowned remembering the unfortunate event that happened to her, "I'm so sorry he came after you. I really never meant for this to go too far."

"Mai it's ok. Don't be so hard on yourself? I'm alive." She assured.

"But he hit you." I muttered.

She put her hand over mine, "I don't blame you."

Hoseok: Hwayoung is very brave.

She smiles.

I smiled too, "Of course she is."

She hugged me, I hugged her back but tighter.

Only a sick mind would do harm to a young innocent soul like her.

Hoseok: Jimin said he's almost back.

I broke the hug and got up, "It was nice seeing you, Eunice. But I must go now."

Hoseok: Mai.

She grabbed my arm, "Wait where are you going?" She asked.

"I'm the last person Jimin wants to see," I told them, "If he finds me here he'd be upset."

Hoseok: Now why's that?

Eunice: You're here to see me. ;(

"And I did." I said, "But it's time I go. Sorry I can't stay long."

I yanked away but of course, my boyfriend blocked my way.

"Hoseok please."

"Why are you assuming that?" He asked.

"I have to go-"

"Mai."

I sighed, "It's obvious he thinks this is my fault, last time I saw you he was kinda mean to me. This happened because of my fault. He even said it himself, so I rather stay out of his way."

Eunice: That babo -.-

Hoseok: Mai that's stupid. Jimin doesn't think that.

Yeah okay.

Jimin walked right through the door before I even said anything.

We locked eyes.

Silence.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" He asked furiously.

I looked at Hoseok. "I'm going now-"

Hoseok stopped me and glared at Jimin, "Excuse you? But who are you to talk to my girlfriend that way?" He told him.

"No offense hyung," he warned, "But your girlfriend has been starting problems since the day you two met. I mean how stupid could you be?! Why are you still with this girl! She's a waste of time!"

My heart shattered.

He hates me..

Eunice: Jimin why are you so mean?!

Jimin: Oh shut up you even said it yourself.

I looked at Eunice.

She looked stunned by his words, as if what he just said was true.

"Is it true? I'm a waste of time?" I asked her.

Eunice: I- Mai it was before I got to know you.

"So you judged me before you even knew me?" I asked her.

Eunice: Mai..

Hoseok: You see what you do?!

Jimin: It's for the best. What is she still doing here?

I held back my tears, "Bye guys. It's obvious no one ever wanted me.."

Eunice: Mai wait!

Hoseok grabbed me. "Let me go!" I yelled.

Hoseok: NO!

Jimin: Just let her go!

Jimin grabbed me and yanked me away from Hoseoks grip, tossing me out the door.

Hoseok: Don't fucking touch her!

I never thought I'd see the day where Hoseok EVER gets in a physical fight.

In a physical fight with another member to be specific.

"Hoseok stop!" I exclaimed and got right back up to stop the fight.

Eunice did the same.

Hoseok: Don't you ever touch her!

Jimin: You're clearly not seeing reality!

Hoseok: When are you gonna stop being a hypocritical jerk?!

Eunice: Guys stop! Ah!

Jimin by accident hit her with his elbow, at her face.

She fell to the floor.

Jimin: Hwayoung!

He released Hoseok and went to his girlfriend.

She covered her face and cried, her nose was bleeding.

"Eunice!" I yelled and went to her.

"Don't touch me!" She screamed at me, making me stop.

Jimin held her as she burried her face into his chest.

He glared at me, "Go." He growled.

My eyes were watery, "Eunice.."

Hoseok grabbed my wrist, "Let's go."

I was pulled away.

He dragged me downstairs.

"Mai? Leaving so soon?" Her mother asked then gasped, "Sweety why are you crying?"

I sobbed, "I'm so sorry mam.." I squealed.

"With all your respect mam, we'd like to leave." Hoseok said and we were out of there.

He tossed me in the car and drove me home, it was the most quietest ride home I never thought I'd experience with Hoseok.

Although I was crying silently.

"Why are you crying?" He asked.

I sobbed.

"Mai."

I just sobbed.

He sighed and pulled over on the side, he stepped out then dragged me out.

"Stop crying." He demanded.

I cried even more while he stared at me, I probably look really ugly right now..but I can't keep myself bottled up anymore.

"Mai!" He yelled.

"ENOUGH!" I screeched.

He jerked back a little.

I cried, tears streaming down my cheek, "This....This is done!" I said.

"What's done?" He asked seriously, nervous probably.

I sobbed and sniffle.

"Mai.." he said in a much calmer tone, his eyes began to water which of course only made me cry even more.

"What is done?" He asked, "Don't tell me what I think you're gonna say.."

"This. Us. Done." I said/cried.

"No.."

"I can't take it anymore!" I told him, "I love you! But I can't continue being with you if I can't show you off! I know the consequences, I know the deal, but I just hate it!" I yelled, "I fucking hate this secret dating shit!"

"Mai.."

"Moreover, Jimin hates me and now Eunice does too! On top of that, a killer is on the loose and he could potentially harm you or anyone! He's already hurt Eunice, Hope, Lena, who's next?!"

"Calm down."

"No! The last thing I want is for YOU to get hurt. I'd rather die than for you to be next." I told him.

He held my hand, "Look," he sniffled, "I know being with me isn't all that great, but just know that I'm yours. Im with you because I love you, don't you think I sometimes get tired of hiding too?"

I cried, "But you're J-Hope."

"Fuck that." He snapped, "I'm your boyfriend and I want to continue for as long as I can, I never want this to end."

"No." I said.

"It's hard now but it'll get better, it always gets better." He said.

I yanked away, "What if it doesn't?"

"Mai please, I need you to be strong. I have hope in you."

I sobbed, "This is just so hard." I squealed.

He held me and let me cry and pour my heart out.

"Just take me home.." I whispered.

He nods and does just that.

I reached home, and he walked me up to my doorstep, "Thanks." I said.

"Anything for you babe."
