Chapter six

      Me and Johnny heard the roar of a engine, it turned off and someone stepped in to the building. "Hello?" I answer her voice. "Hey." She steps into the church.

She looks at us. "Uh here's some chicken and some water for you, I hope you slept well? What's your names?" She seemed a little unclear about this whole situation. "This here's Johnny and I'm Ponyboy." I pat Johnny on the back. "You can just call me baby." The girl said. We sat and me and Johnny are in silence. "You from around here?" She asked. Just then I hear footsteps coming around the building.

He breaks in through one of the boarded up windows. "Ah!" Baby screamed as he did so. "What the hell! Ponyboy I thought I told you to let no one know your here!" He sounded genuinely mad, "she found us! Her family came here last night but only she found is she even paid for the food!" Johnny defended her. She looked scared but not in a bad way. "Look I found them yesterday and I was being nice!" She obviously didn't know who Dallas Winston was. "Yeah ok that's great princess but your a soc! I got it from here." She looked hurt.

"I'm coming with you!" She declared as we got to the car. "Excuse me?" Dallas has that look on his face. "What about your family?" Johnny piped up. she smiled at him sadly. "My family don't really give anything about me. They want me to go around being host and baby and sweat little girl. I'm sick of it!"

"Ok then hop in little miss." She did just that and got the middle seat. Dally put a arm behind her. "So everything has been a wreck at your house. Soda almost jumped me he was so mad that you left." I gulped, yeah I guess that's pretty mad. I feel sorry for doing this to soda but Darry should of never hit me in the first place! "Darry just kinda glared at me and didn't say nothin but you know how it is with him." Johnny asked the next question. "How are things in-" dally cut him off. "That soc you killed had a lot of friends. They're calling for a rumble later this week. Skin fight you know easy stuff." He smirked "that red head cherry told me, she's our spy. She also said she would say it was her fault and defend you." Baby looked like she was about to Explode. "You don't fight do you!" She exclaimed in shock. "She's a smart one." Dally said in a monotone voice. "Yeah princess we do and we always win! Everyone knows how to fight in our neighborhood. If you don't your dead." He said the last part in a deeper voice. His face stone cold. "I'm going to turn myself in!" Johnny confessed. "What no!" Me and dally said at the same time "what I thought it out and it was in self defense and cherry will help us out!" We drove in silence for a while

"So where we headed?" Baby asked. "Tulsa, my house." I told her. "Oh. Ok I bet it's lovely." She put her hands in her lap. "Yeah I guess if you count the what? 7 guys, including me who basically live there as lovely too." Dally said. She laughed. And then we were almost home. Boy was Darry going to be mad at us when we brought a girl home.
