Ring the Bell!

11:06, 31 March 2021

"Get on my back," Luffy instructed me with Aisa and the bird already on his back.

I raised a brow and then grabbed the bird from off his back, saying, "No, I'm pretty sure I can run up myself, don't worry."

He hummed and then nodded, "I see, then let's hurry up and go!" he chimed before we began to climb up Giant Jack, with my devil fruit activated and my hands shifted to sharpen at the tips obviously. Luffy was literally climbing with one arm, bare feet, with a huge chunk of metal weighing him down plus the girl on his back, and I will never understand how. He is absolutely fascinating. But.. not in a weird way.. Anyway, he was climbing just as fast with me, which was concerning. I need to train more or something. Oh god I sound like Zoro.

We passed through some clouds and when we finally broke the surface, Luffy cheered. "Down there Luffy! Stop Stop!" Aisa shouted, causing him to halt, along with me.

"Robin!" he chirped, and then threw Aisa to the woman, "Look after her!" His gold covered arm started swinging around from the momentum of the throw so I grabbed onto his rubber arm and stopped it from falling by digging my heels into the beanstalk.

"OH MY GOD THIS THING IS SO MUCH HEAVIER THAN MINE!" I yelled in surprise. He pulled his arm to the top of the little flat piece of the vine we were on and then tripped me, proceeding to grab my waist with his free hand. "Wha-" He threw me to the ground. "LUFFY WHY?!"

He laughed his iconic laugh and grinned as I moved the bird off of my back and into my arms since my back was facing the cloudy ground. "I have it covered up here! Help everyone else!" he said like it was an explanation for throwing me to the ground. My back hit the floor and some air knocked out of me. It wasn't that bad since it wasn't literal ground, it's puffy cloud ground. He then said that he was going to go to the top since Enel was heading to the bell, and the bell should theoretically be at the top, taking off before anyone could say anything.

"ROBINNN! (Y/NNNN)!"

Aisa, me, and Robin all turned to see Nami and Usopp heading our way on the waver I woke up in earlier. And is that Sanji? I ran over to them while Nami and Aisa had a reunion and Usopp reviewed the casualties of the others lying on the ground. Meanwhile, I was at the waver, assessing the damage on Sanji's medium well body. He was practically crispy over here. My hand moved his hair to the side. Yup, very much burnt.

"Nami what happened to him?" I asked after they finished talking about how Luffy left right before they showed up.

"He sacrificed himself to let us escape, he took on Enel's El Thor attack head on," she said, looking down a bit.

"HUUH?!" I screeched, putting my ear against his chest to make sure his heart was still beating.

He stirred slightly, muttering, "Mellorine..~!" He didn't do anything after that, except for maybe grow a small smile on his face, but that was about it. Still unconscious.

I blinked, "I guess he's fine then. What's going to happen now?"

I was told to pick up the blond man and place him next to everyone else that was unconscious, and then Nami climbed into the waver. She was about to say something, but a huge bolt of lightning struck near us, causing me to immediately undo my devil fruit power. There was no way I would risk attracting that. I am no metal rod.

"We're gonna turn to sky dust if we stay here!" Usopp panicked as he threw his hands around.

Nami revved her engine which drew our attention. "Everyone! Hurry to the ship! I'll get Luffy and bring him back!" she ordered.

As soon as she took off, Wyper got up, both physically and mentally, and walked a bit away from us so he could see all of the chaos going on. It must be painful, considering the fact that this was their home land that they meant to take back, according to Aisa. Gon Fall and Zoro were the next to shift awake, but Gon Fall actually sat up while the green haired man stayed laying down with his eyes closed. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was just sleeping. Napping is basically his hobby.

Flames started to erupt from the nearby forest and Aisa ran up to Wyper, who was lost in thought. She kept trying to tell him that we should leave or we'll die, but he wasn't paying attention. He grit his teeth and stared at the fires asking in anguish, "Enel.. what gives you the right to take it all away?!"

Robin was staring up at the ark that Enel was on, saying, "It's only a matter of time until his ship reaches the top of the vine." When she told Gon Fall that the crazy god complexed man was heading up there because he wanted a golden bell, Wyper seemed to have drawn his attention towards their conversation. The golden bell does have to do with Noland's story from back then, so it would only make sense, he probably knows of his ancestor's story as well, just from another perspective. (Ugh the Noland and Calgara flashback was so upsetting bruh. Mother nature said fuck ur island and you)

Everyone besides the bird, Chopper, and Sanji were conscious now. I was holding Sanji's head in my lap, patting the burned parts down. Everyone started arguing about whether we should stay or not, but really, it was just Usopp trying to tell everyone to get back to the ship and everyone ignoring him in return. "What're you doing to the ero-cook?" Zoro murmured next to me. I looked at him and quirked a brow.

"Nothing much. Why?" I asked, looking down and realizing I made all of his long blond hair move back so it exposed both of his eyes and his forehead. I patted it back down. I won't lie, Sanji is actually attractive. When he's not going crazy over woman, at least.

"Stop," the green head ordered.

"Why?" I asked again. His eyebrow twitched. "Am I touching your man?"

"NO! I'LL FUCKING KILL Y-"

"EVERYBODY MOVE AWAY FROM THE VINE!" Usopp suddenly yelled. I looked up and saw a massive chunk of said vine free falling towards us. I got up with Sanji bridal style in my arms and started running away, getting thrown into the air when the object hit and sunk slightly into the cloud ground. I landed on my back with Sanji in my lap, rubbing my head. I wish I had the balls to activate my power so that wouldn't hurt so much, but alas, I don't want the possibility of me getting struck by lightning.

"I hope Nami and Luffy didn't fall down-"

"WYPER! Stop you're too weak! Look at yourself!" Aisa shouted, interrupting Usopp. He was kneeling on the ground and she was standing beside him. "And even if you made it up there, you can't reach Enel while he's flying!"

"Its.. right above us!" Wyper grunted with his head tilted to the sky. "The bell that Calgara longed to ring! Yes.. That's the reason we came here.. Enel.. I'll never let you have it!"

Everything was quiet for a moment out of seriousness, and then it turned into shocked silence when we all saw a ball of thunderclouds directly above Angel Island. My jaw almost hit the floor and out of the corner of my eye I could see Usopp was the same way. That was a ball of complete death.

"He's made the thunderclouds into a sphere," Robin commented in a horrified awe.

Only seconds later, the ball of death hit the island and it blew up, causing me to close my eyes from the bright flash that erupted. I gaped in shock when I opened my eyes, seeing a giant hole where the cloud island used to be. My eyes moved to Gon Fall who's armor clanked when he fell to his knees, holding his head in his hands. "Angel Island.. is destroyed.. What unspeakable.. What unspeakable cruelty, Enel!" he groaned out in despair. I could only imagine that pain. He used to be God, and Enel killed so many of his people just now. Even just knowing that so many people have lost their lives is heart-dropping to me, and this isn't even my home.

"Hey.. Zoro.." I muttered as my head tilted back so I could look up at the beanstalk. He looked to me. "Even if Nami catches him, don't you think he'll try to ring the bell like he said.." Usopp turned to us at the new information.

He crossed his arms and sighed, "When he says he'll do something, he does it." Usopp gaped at us while Robin confirmed that Luffy really did say that.

"Ring.. Ring the bell?" Wyper asked.

I nodded, "Yea, I don't think he'll back down from that even if Nami tries to pull him down herself."

"I'm surprised you know our captain so well already, (y/n)," Robin hummed. I dragged a hand down my face and shook my head.

"That's because he's blunt and easy to read," I told her. Zoro grunted in agreement.

The conversation would have continued if a leaf didn't fall to the ground with writing from Nami. Lightning started raining down on us right after we solidified the resolve to cut down the beanstalk, so almost everyone was running away. Zoro, on the other hand, ran towards the vine and successfully cut off a huge chunk of one of the three major vines holding the whole thing up, but he was struck by lightning a minute later. When the damn thing still didn't fall, I ran up as well, and tried to cut at another with my entire forearm forming a blade. Yes, I know Enel could paralyze me easy now, but the fine needs to fall, and it needs to fall now. My slash got through the vine, but I couldn't cut out a chunk of like the swordsman before me, so it still didn't fall. I almost got caught up in Usopp's exploding ammo right after that.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I shouted down to him. He put his hands up in surrender. I dragged my hand down my face and saw Wyper heading up now. He must have a plan, right? I moved to the side when he put his hand on the slash that I just made, proceeding to blow a gigantic hole through the vine. I grabbed him hurriedly when he slumped from the impact that it took on his body, jumping down the vine so I could get him to Aisa and everyone else. Sadly, the world didn't like that plan and I fell to the ruins where I think Zoro is.

"C'mon Luffy.. Nami.. If Sky Island is destroyed.. we can't ring the golden bell! We have to ring it so old man Cricket can hear! GO! EVERYTHING RESTS ON YOU!" Usopp cheered the two on as we saw something traveling up the side of the vine.

"GO!" Aisa yelled. I couldn't really see what was going on over there but I placed Wyper down and raised my hands to cheer too.

I was so excited for all of this to end until lightning started showering down again, even worse than before. I deactivated devil fruit, seeing the lightning storm. This is not going to be pretty.

-------UGGGHHHHHHHHH i have so much plans for episodes like waaaayyyy ahead of this one. Its frustrating that i cant just speed run
