Harbinger

A/N This chapter happens during the two episodes Darkmount, NV and Scattered.

Misty-blue's POV

The first night sire Ratchet worked all night on my birth sire. He left our cave of rubbish once to get some supplies from the junkyard. Making me stay put. Giving me an energon cube. I drank it, but didn't sleep until he returned. When he saw I was still awake, he told me to get some rest and he went back to working my birth sire. I could hear him muttering to himself, but I couldn't make out the words.

Before I slept. I prayed to Primus that my birth sire would be ok and that everyone is ok. That we'd all reunite soon. That we'll be able to revive Cybertron and return to our home planet.

"Sire Ratchet, do you think the others are ok?" I ask as he monitors my birth sire's vitals.

"I am sure they are alright" he states adjusting the energon drip connected to my birth sire.

"Will he wake soon?" I ask hopeful.

"Possibly, he was very hurt Misty-blue and needs rest to recover. We are all safe here for the time being" he tells me. "Though I will make something to move him if need be" he adds. "Remember no wondering off and no contacting anyone" he tells me. I nod my head. We hear jets outside and we remain still until we hear them leave. Sire Ratchet sighs and hands me a cube. "Drink" he says.

"What about you?" I ask him.

"I'll be fine, you and Dreadwing require energon more then I do. As he is hurt and you are still growing" he tells me. I nod soberly and start to drink. Though I wish he'd drink something too.

(Time skip)

It's been a couple of days and my birth sire is stable. His vital signs are improving everyday. Ratchet thinks he may even wake up. I'm so relieved. Once he wakes, we can go look for the others. Though when I mention this to Sire Ratchet, he always changes the subject. I wonder what the others are doing right about now?

(With Arcee and Jack) Third Persons POV

After their run in with cons after Jack messaged his mum. They haven't run into anymore trouble since then. Only stopping for human food and water for Jack. On one of their stops, Jack asked if there were other Autobots and where they were. Arcee told them others did escape Cybertron, but were scattered to the winds. Right now, they're main goals are to get back to Jasper and reunite with the rest of the Autobots.

(With Bee and Raf)

As Bee drives Raf is searching a conspiracy website searching for any signs of the other autobots. "Any luck?" Bee asks him.

"Nada, Bee. Just the same old rubber masks and bad C.G. But the usual conspiracy websites might be our only chance to Whoa!" Raf exclaims when he finds something at last. "I found something! It's Ratchet!" he declares looking at the image of Ratchet in the junkyard. He tells Bee the coordinates and swaps the image of Ratchet with something else.

"Was Misty-blue with him?" Bee asks as he speeds up.

"I didn't see her, he must have her hidden somewhere while he was scouting the area or something" Raf tells him. Bee agrees with  him. They should reach the junkyard soon.

(Miko and Bulkhead)

Meanwhile Miko and Bulkhead are still waiting for Wheeljack on a grassy hill. Wheeljack is still a prisoner of the cons. Miko was playing a game on her phone, but she got bored of it. "I  don't think he's coming" Miko tells Bulkhead.

"Don't worry, Miko every Wrecker knows the protocol. Jackie will show. If he's still kicking" Bulkhead assures her.

(Jackie)

Shockwave performed the cortical psychic patch on Wheeljack. But did not get anything on the whereabouts of the rest of the autobots. But he did learn more about a sparkling in the Autobots ranks. He made note of it and would investigate it later. Right now the decepticons main priority is finding and destroying the autobots.

(Night time at Junkyard) Ratchet's POV

I sigh as I look up at the night sky. I am in my vehicle mode. I left Misty-blue back at the cave with Dreadwing. Who is recovering faster then I thought he would. He may actually wake up. But then what? The Omega Lock is gone and there is no other way to restore Cybertron. What's the point in fighting? All I care about right now is protecting Misty-blue and her sire. I've found a trailer big enough to move Dreadwing if needed. But for the time being we're safe her.

Just then I hear a familiar engine. Bumblebee appears with Rafael. What are they doing here? I ponder as Rafael races over to me. "Ratchet! Ratchet, it's me, Raf! Uh, Ratchet?" he asks when I don't answer.

"Go away" I tell him.

"Ratchet, what's wrong? Where's Misty-blue?" Bumblebee asks me.

"She's sleeping, now go away" I tell them.

"Come on, Ratchet, we need your help to find the others" Rafael tells me.

"So that we can stop Megatron" Bumblebee adds.

"We can't stop Megatron, not anymore. The war is over, and we lost" I snap at them.

"You're giving up?!" Rafael demands. "We can't just give up!" he shouts. I transform and look down at him.

"Then tell me what we can do without communications, without a ground bridge, without a base of operations or resources of any kind" I demand.

"Starscream had access to a ground bridge" Bumblebee reminds me.

"Bee's right. We know Starscream had access to a ground bridge while he was operating solo" Raf states.

"Yes, yes, he'd clearly been using the derelict Decepticon ship the Harbinger. What does that have to do with anything?!" I ask them annoyed. I should be getting back to Misty-blue and Dreadwing.

"It could be full of Cybertronian tech, and it's probably abandoned again now that Starscream's back with the 'Cons" Rafael tells me.

"Well, resources won't be of much use, not without someone to, lead us" I tell him.

"It's a start" he tells me.

"You'll have to start without me. I am needed here. This is someone else's fight now" I tell them.

"There is no one else, Ratchet just us, just the team" he tells me.

"Please leave Misty-blue and I in peace" I tell them. Before transforming and leaving. I return to the cave and I am greeted by an excited Misty-blue.

"Sire Ratchet, he moved!" she squeals. "Sire Dreadwing squeezed my hand" she states. I head over to him and see his optics coming online. She floats beside me as he groans. "Sire!" she cheers.

"Misty-blue" he says weakly. She hugs him. He pats her back gently. "What has happened?" he asks confused.

"We were hoping you could tell us. When Optimus found you, you were in pretty bad shape" I tell him.

"Megatron did this" he sneers. Trying to sit up.

"Rest" I say holding him down.

"What has happened? Why are we not at your base?" he asks me.

"You were to weak to be moved and the base is gone" I tell him. "It was destroyed by the other decepticons. The omega lock is gone, Cybertron is still lifeless. The autobots are scattered" I explain.

"We must find them, take down Megatron" he tells me.

"You've only just woken up and are nowhere near combat ready" I tell him firmly. "Besides, we should be focusing on your recovery and keeping Misty-blue safe" I state.

"The only way to protect her, is to reunite with the rest of your team. To stop Megatron's reign of terror" he tells me. I sigh, he is right.

"Very well, but you can't move on your own yet. I want you on berth rest for at least solar cycle" I tell him. "Misty-blue, remain here. I shall get the trailer" I tell her. She nods and stays with Dreadwing. She hasn't stopped smiling since he woke up. I'm glad she is smiling again, she hadn't since we left base.

Misty-blue's POV

"Are you ok sire?" I ask.

"Sore, but I'll live" he tells me. "Have you been behaving for Ratchet?" he asks me. I nod my head. "Good" he say with a weak smile.

"Does this mean you're joining us?" I ask him.

"After what Megatron, I can't follow him anymore. If not for you, I'd go rogue. But for you, I will join the Autobots. If they are willing to accept me" he tells me.

"Why wouldn't they? You're my birth sire" I say confused.

"It's not that simple, but we shall cross that bridge when we get to it" he tells me. I smile as sire Ratchet returns. He disconnects my birth sire from the drip and computers. Then moves him into the trailer. He then has me hook the trailer up to his vehicle mode. Once that was done I hop into his vehicle mode and he takes off.

"Where are we going?" I ask sire Ratchet.

"To help Bumblebee and Rafael find the others" he states. I clap happily. I'd be reuniting with my family soon.

(Time skip)

We have arrived at a crashed decepticon ship. Sire Ratchet told me it's the Harbinger. I unhook him from the trailer and he gets my birth sire. Who has fallen back into recharge. "Stay close" he tells me as we head inside. Him wheeling my birth sire on portable berth.

It didn't take us long to find Bee and Raf. They were trying to power up the Harbinger. "Keep trying. We'll figure it out" Raf says.

"Ep ep" Sire Ratchet says and they turn to look at us. I launch myself at Bee and he hugs me tightly. I return it. "You're miscalibrating the Energon transduce" he tells them.

"Ratchet, Misty-blue!" Raf cheers.

"Hey Raf!" I say smiling.

"Is that Dreadwing?" Bee asks looking at my birth sire.

"He was severely injured by Megatron after giving us the Forge, I've been nursing him back to health. He is stable now and even woke up, but it will still be awhile before he is combat ready" Sire Ratchet tells them. "Now step out of my way so I can work" he adds and gets to work on the computers. I fly over to my birth sire to be out of the way.

"So is he on our side now?" Raf asks me.

"He says he would if the others accepted him. But I don't see why they wouldn't. He is my birth sire and strong fighter" I state.

"Optimus trusted him, so I will" Bee states. I smile up at him. We then look at Sire Ratchet as he continues to work.
