Part 21: A Gradual Surrender

Angel Dust leaned lazily against the bar, nursing a cocktail and looking entirely too pleased with himself. His sharp pink eyes darted to Alastor as the demon approached, his usual air of confidence wrapped around him like a cloak.

"Well, well, if it isn't the Radio Daddy," Angel teased, swirling his drink with a smirk. "What brings you over here? Miss me?"

Alastor chuckled, his voice smooth as silk, but with a hint of something deeper. "Perhaps I did. Or perhaps I simply wanted to see if you could handle some genuine attention for once, my dear Angel."

Angel arched a brow, ready with a quip, but his words caught in his throat as Alastor closed the distance between them. The demon's hand lightly brushed Angel's waist, lingering just long enough to send a shiver up his spine.

"Wh-what are you up to, Al?" Angel asked, his voice faltering just slightly.

Alastor didn't answer immediately. Instead, he leaned in, his lips grazing the curve of Angel's neck in a featherlight kiss. The gesture was unexpected and disarming, leaving Angel momentarily stunned.

Then came another kiss, this time on his cheek, lingering just a second longer than the first.

"Al... you're really laying it on thick tonight, huh?" Angel murmured, his tone softer, less teasing now.

Finally, Alastor tilted Angel's chin gently, his glowing red eyes meeting Angel's wide, surprised ones. With deliberate slowness, he leaned forward and captured Angel's lips in a tender yet assertive kiss.

Angel stiffened for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden intimacy. But then, almost instinctively, he melted into it, his hands finding their way to Alastor's shoulders. The kiss deepened, a perfect mix of tension and release that neither of them seemed willing to break.

When they finally pulled apart, Angel was left breathless, his usual cocky demeanor replaced by something more vulnerable.

"Damn, Al..." he whispered, his voice shaky but laced with a hint of laughter. "Didn't think you had it in ya."

Alastor's grin widened, his usual sharpness returning. "Oh, my dear Angel, there's much you don't know about me."

Angel smirked, his confidence slowly returning. "Guess I'll just have to stick around and find out, huh?"

Alastor chuckled, his hand lingering on Angel's waist. "I'd be delighted if you did."
