Chapter 15 (Longer Chapter)

20:15, 23 March 2024

Connor Rhode's Penthouse, Astoria Tower, Chicago Illinois

Sierra made her way back to her brother's place and spent most of the morning thinking about the kinda handsome guy she met that morning. She was debating whether or not to call him and set up a date.

After toying with the idea for a few hours she finally decided to pick up her phone and call the number Liam gave her. The line rang a couple of times before it was answered. "Hello?" a man answered the line. "Hey, Liam?" Sierra asked through the line awkwardly. "Yeah?" he asked confused, "It's Sierra... We met this morning- At Le petite Cafe, yeah," Liam replied remembering. "I was wondering if you wanted to grab dinner still?" She asked trying not to sound awkward. "Yeah, I can get reservations tomorrow night at Sephia," he replied. "Sounds perfect, I can meet you there," Sierra replied and with that, their call ended.

Now to look up how formal Sephia is, she thought to herself as she started looking into the restaurant Liam was getting them reservations. Only to find out the restaurant is fine dining and very formal meaning she'd have to go and buy a dress to wear for dinner. "Shit," Sierra thought to herself not wanting to spend the day shopping in high end dress boutiques and trying on a million dresses to find the right one.

Later that afternoon Connor ended up calling and letting her know he'd be working late in the ED after a car pile up in the West Loop had the ED packed. Sierra ended up warming up some leftovers from the night before and spent the night relaxing. Tomorrow she'd be up and dressed early so she could take as much time as she needed to find something to wear tomorrow night.

Near The North Side, Chicago Illinois

Sierra was up and out of the penthouse by 9 am and was near the north side where most of the high end dress boutiques were in Chicago. She made sure she had her coffee before she spent hours going from store to store trying on dozens of dresses that left her feeling way too exposed or way too covered up.

It was close to 3 in the afternoon and Sierra eventually found 3 dresses she couldn't choose between. With a deep sigh, Sierra ended up buying all 3 dresses and two pairs of heels that would go nicely with any dress she chose.

Sierra took a cab back to the penthouse and made her way inside to get ready for her date. She was supposed to be meeting Liam at 6:30, the minute Sierra walked through the door she tossed the bags on the couch and made her way down the hall and into the bathroom to take a shower.

After she finished her shower, she dried off, dried her hair, and with herself wrapped in a towel she went out to the sitting room and retrieved the bag of dresses. Sierra made her way to the guest room and changed into one of the dresses and lay the other two out on the bed. She had an hour and a half to figure out what she was wearing and meet Laim at the restaurant, with a long sigh and an eye roll Sierra picked up her phone and video called JJ hoping she'd answer.

The call ended up getting declined after a minute, so she called Emily only to have the same result. 'They're probably on a case' she thought as she tried video calling Penelope only to get no answer. Sierra sighed again and looked at the photo on the side table for a brief moment before she called Mouse.

The line rang a few times before it was answered, "Hey Rhodes," Mouse said answering the phone. "Hey, are you and Jay busy right now by any chance?" She asked getting straight to the point. "Umm, no we're about to head to a bar in Bucktown to grab a couple drinks, why? what's up?" Mouse asked. "I could kinda use some advice, do you think you guys could stop by on the way to the bar? I know it's out of the way- No problem, we can stop by. We'll see you in 15 minutes," Mouse replied. "Thank you, just let me know when you get here and I'll buzz you guys in," Sierra replied before she hung up the call.

Sierra stood in the mirror looking over the floor length black formal silk gown she was wearing. It had a corset style top that pushed her boob up and the dress had long black and red lace sleeves and a slit up her right thigh. The dress was very formal and fitting for the restaurant they were going to. It didn't take long for Mouse to text her that they were downstairs, Sierra buzzed them into the building, and within 3 minutes there was a knock on the door to the penthouse.

Sierra made her way over and pulled the door open revealing Mouse and Jay. "Wow..." Jy said noticing the dress. "Come in," she said as they both stepped inside, "You look amazing," Mouse complimented causing Sierra to flash him a smile. "Thanks," she replied, "You do look really beautiful... Um, Mouse said you needed some advice?" Jay asked slightly confused. "Yeah, I'm going on a date tonight and I needed your opinion on what dress to wear," Sierra replied slightly awkwardly.

"I don't think we're the best people to ask," Jay replied as he took a seat on the couch in the living room. "How many dresses?" Mouse asked her, "Three," she replied as he took a seat. "So this is the first one," Sierra said before going to change into the second dress to show them and finally the last dress. "So which one do you think?" Sierra asked them. "Where is your date?" Jay asked, "Sephia, I heard it's very formal," Sierra replied. "Honestly, I think you look amazing in all of them," Jay replied.

Sierra nodded, "okay, which dress do you think I'd most likely get laid for wearing?" she asked them bluntly. Jay furrowed his eyebrows at her, "You did not just ask us that," he replied shaking his head. "Yeah, I did. You're both Men, you both think like men right?... please don't make me ask you again. Plus I gotta be at the restaurant in 20 minutes," Sierra said just noticing the time. Jay shook his head, "I don't know... the first one?" Jay replied as Sierra nodded and made her way down the hall to change back into the first dress with the corset style top. She added a pair of black Jimmy Chu stiletto boots, lightly curled her hair, and fixed her makeup.

A small black winged liner with a silver and black smokey eye under it, false lashes, and a blood red lipstick to tie the look together. Jay, Mouse, and Sierra ended up leaving the building together, and Jay insisted on driving her over to the restaurant. "Also you didn't have to give me gas money when I drove you back from Med," Jay mentioned as he pulled up outside the restaurant. "I know, I didn't want you to think I was taking advantage of your kindness," Sierra replied honestly as the truck pulled to a stop. "Thank you for the drive, and the advice. I owe you both," Sierra said before she hopped out of the truck. She sent them both a wave before she made her way inside the restaurant.

Sephia, Chicago Illinois

Sierra made her way up to the hottest stand, "Reservation under Liam Green," she asked before she was led through the restaurant to a table near the window overlooking the city where Liam was already sitting.

As she approached the table, he stood up once he noticed her. Liam took her hand in his while looking into her eyes as he kissed the top of her hand before he pulled her seat out for her to sit. "You look magnificent," he complimented as he tucked her chair in and took his own seat. "I started us off with a bottle of Dom Perignon," he said as a server poured a glass of expensive champagne. "Thank you," Sierra said with a smile trying not to think about how much this date reminded her of all the formal dinner parties, and events her father would drag her to growing up.

Everything in the restaurant from the clients to the decor screamed class, wealth, and everything her father stood for. The date overall was good turns out Liam works as a pilot so he travels across the country a lot, so he stays in hotels and rentals most of the year instead of investing and saving for a house he'd never be in. It made sense to Sierra, especially since she was staying in high end hotel rooms and penthouses instead of saving for her own place. Even though she'd been living and working in Virginia for almost a year now.

The two finished dinner and Liam insisted on paying for the bill, the two made their way out of the restaurant. "Thank you for dinner, I had an incredible time," Sierra replied. She couldn't remember the last time she got all dressed up and had a nice dinner out. "No problem, maybe we could go back to my room for another couple glasses of champagne?" Liam offered as the valet rolled up with a Black roll's royce. "Sounds like a party," Sierra replied with a smile as Liam held her door open for her to step inside. Liam climbed into the driver's seat and the two drove off towards the south loop. It didn't take long for his luxury car to pull into the parking garage of the Hilton Hotel.

the Hilton Hotel, Chicago Illinois

Liam led Sierra into the hotel and by the time the two made it into the elevator her lips were on his moving in sync as he pressed her back against the back wall of the elevator. Their lips moved in sync until the elevator doors opened and Liam took her hand in his and led her off the elevator, down the short hall, and into the large penthouse suite.

The door barely had time to close when Sierra started pulling his, jacket, tie, and shirt off his body. Liam's lips pressed to hers before traveling down her neck as he unzipped her dress and carried her over to the nearby sofa.
