Chapter 51

"She's awake." One nurse loudly announced. The nurses moved away from the bed and I looked over to the left and saw Loki and the others rushing to my side. I tried to sit up but a sharp pain traveled from my stomach all around my body so I laid back down. Loki put his hand on my stomach and healed my wound as he gently caressed my hair. I smiled up at him and he smiled back down at me before putting both hands on my face and kissing me.

"Is..?" I asked as I put my hand on my stomach.

"The baby is okay." Loki happily nodded as he pulled away.

"Glad to see you are okay." A familiar voice said. I looked past Loki and the Thors and tensed up when I saw Odin standing there, his face void of emotions.

"Are you? I seem to remember you were willing to kill me." I pointed out. I could hear and see everything that was happening while Evils Loki was in control.

"Yes, to save my people and kill my Loki for good." He nodded.

"I get it." I shrugged. After becoming an Avenger, my idea about dying has changed. I still don't want to die, but if it was for a greater cause, like getting rid of Evil Loki for good, then I'd be okay with it.

Loki looked back at the others and they quickly got the message that he wanted them gone. They all left, including the nurses, and Loki smiled at me again before kissing me.

"I thought I had lost you." He whispered as he put his forehead against mine.

"I'm right here." I softly replied as I closed my eyes. Loki crawled into bed with me and laid his head on my chest as he put his hand on my stomach. A comfortable silence fell between us and I closed my eyes as I finally relaxed.

"What happened?" He asked as he closed his eyes.

"I dunno, I woke up in a crazy nightmare and then Evil Loki was there at the end of it all and said it was the future." I half laughed. His eyes shot open and he pulled away from me as he sat up.

"Explain." He ordered.

"Well, I ended up in Tony's apartment, he was dead, Pepper was scared of me, Peter thought I was someone else, I was almost shot by Bucky, a man named Oskar turned out to be our son and the reason for it all. I guess you killed me while under mind control and that sent him into a rage against the Avengers, who he blamed for it. He told me it was a future and then disappeared and Evil Loki appeared." I explained.

"And that is when he took over?" Loki harshly asked as he furrowed his brows in worry.

"Yeah...He locked me up." I nodded.

"How did you manage to escape?" He asked as he stared into my eyes, his green ones filled with worry.

"I broke free from the room and killed him."

"You killed him?" He asked as he relaxed.

"Yeah." I nodded. Loki laid back down and sighed as he closed his eyes again.

"Was it really the future?" I asked as I intertwined my fingers though his messy hair.

"I'm... not sure." He softly replied.

"Evil Loki was powerful but I'm not sure he was that powerful. Especially since it was a small part of him doing it. I think he was playing off of your fears and worries, turning them into a nightmare." He explained.

"But, I don't fear that our baby will be evil." I sighed as I shook my head.

"Well, according to what you said, events turned him to seek revenge, he wasn't born evil." Loki argued.

"I think that your nightmare might mean you fear that without us, our child will go down the wrong path." He added.

"Maybe..." I sighed again.

"But those fears should not exist, we have a literal team behind us waiting to show our child love and affection." Loki said, a small smile forming on his lips.

"I just don't want him to grow up like we did, alone, an outcast, scared to feel anything for anyone..." I softly replied as I clenched my jaw to stop myself from crying.

"He won't, I promise, my love." He whispered as he leaned in. He kissed me gently and then pulled away and set his head back on my chest as he laid down. He put his hand on my stomach and I felt the baby kick. Loki jolted up and stared at his hand as the baby continued to kick and move around, moving more than ever before. Loki let out a small laugh as he laid back down and gently rubbed his thumb over my stomach.

"Sorry to interrupt this wonderful moment, but Hill wants us back." Peter said as he walked in from the hall. Loki sat up and helped me to my feet and then intertwined our fingers before following Peter outside. We met the others and my Thor hugged me before gently placing his hand on my stomach.

"I knew you would both survive." He proudly said as he moved his hand and crossed his arms.

"I'm glad you guys are okay too." I smiled as I looked between both Thors.

"I love the eye patch, very Odin." I smiled as I examined the patch on my Thor's face. He looked just like his father.

Second Thor suddenly threw his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I awkwardly put my hands on his back, hugging him back, while staring at Loki with a confused but happy smile. Second Thor's hug felt real, like he truly meant it.

"I'm sorry for the way I've treated you." Second Thor said as he pulled away from me.

"Both of you." He added as he looked back over at Loki.

"No worries." I said, pulling his attention back to me.

"I am Groot?"

"Will I be home soon?" The Elder asked me.

"I am Groot. I am Groot."

"Yes. We'll head to our base and then send you over." I smiled.

"Yo- it- wow." Sebastian laughed as he looked between The Elder and I in amazement.

"Alright boys, and Lithitam, let's get going." I said as I took Loki's hand in mine. He pulled me close as we walked down the rainbow ridge, leading the misfits back to the bifrost. We traveled back to Earth, landing near base this time. Second Thor said S.H.I.E.L.D blocked him from transporting into the base, and most likely out of it too.

"Makes sense. Don't want anyone popping in unexpected." I shrugged. We walked through the cave base Second Thor ran and into a separate room that S.H.I.E.L.D was using as base. Tony, Bruce, Miles and the other Thors, Bruces and Peters were there with Hill. As soon as they heard us come in, Tony rushed over to me with worry.

"Are you okay?? Why are you so bloody?" He frantically asked me.

"Why is she so bloody?" He didn't even wait for my answer before he asked Loki.

"What happened?" Maria asked as she joined us, the others close behind.

"You're missing an eye." My Bruce said as he stared at our Thor with a surprised look.

"Happens." My Thor shrugged.

"Happens?" Sebastian and Miles asked at the same time while sharing a shocked look on their faces because of how casual My Thor was.

"We're fine. We were attacked. I met an Elder from our Universe, killed some Evil Loki followers, met Sebastian who plays Bucky in that one universe, turns out he can weld the hammers, was stabbed, poisoned, had to fight my way out of a literal nightmare, Evil Loki took control of my body with a small bit of him that was left after he took control of !e in Oskar but I killed him, oh, and Tiny Tony was T." I summed up our adventure and ended it with a smile.

"And Evil Loki unlocked Alex's powers and gave her the ability to control all elements, not just the ones she was exposed to during the accident." Peter added.

"Tiny Tony was T?" Hill asked as she crossed her arms.

"That's the only question out of the whole explanation you have?" Sebastian asked as he raised both brows at her. He was such a noob with this hero stuff.

"Called it! Brucey, you owe me 10 bucks. Pay up." My Tony sang as he turned his head and held his hand out towards Bruce. My Bruce sighed and handed him 10 dollars and then the other Bruces did too, all unhappy that they lost the bet.

"Who's that?" He asked as he stuffed his money into his jean pocket and nodded at the grandfather and granddaughter duo.

"Lithitam and Beraoin, they're from this universe. They were trapped in prison with me." I explained.

"It's creeping me out how still they're standing." Tony, not so quietly, whispered to me.

"They don't feel emotions or see colors." I explained.

"Quick, someone make an ex wife joke!" Tony said as he looked around the group of men.

"Wait, so where is Tony?" Miles asked as he looked around my group.

"Dead." Loki replied as he crossed his arms.

"You killed him?" One of the other Thors asked.

"Of course I did." Loki half laughed.

"He stabbed Alex, hurting her and our unborn child, he attempted to kill both Thors, partially blinding the one, and was trying to kill the Avengers as a whole. We tried to arrest him but he attacked." Loki shrugged.

"Seems like an excuse to murder someone." Another Thor scoffed.

"What?" I harshly asked as I furrowed my brows.

"He tried to murder us??" My Peter argued.

"Your Loki seems pretty happy to have killed someone!" A third Thor said as he shook his head.

"Of course I am." Loki half laughed.

"Wouldn't you be happy that you killed the on who was trying to kill your friends? Who blinded and poisoned your brother and almost killed your girlfriend and your unborn child??" I reasoned.

"Revenge only leads to the destruction of all parties involved." The deep voiced Thor harshly replied.

"How are you even a Thor?" My Thor asked the other one.

"Silence!" Second Thor suddenly yelled out.

"I was like you, so ignorant and blinded by my rage for my own Loki that I couldn't see how good this one was. After going to battle with him, it is clear he is different than the others. He is the Loki I always dreamed my Loki would be." Second Thor said before clenching his jaw and looking over at Loki. I took my God's hand in my own and gently squeezed it as I smiled at the other God, proud that he finally realized the truth.

"The next one to speak out against Loki or Alex will be removed from the ally pact and their universe will be left to fend for itself." He harshly added. Silence fell over the others and they seemed to agree with Second Thor's new rule.

"Now, where are we with everything else?" He asked Hill as he looked over at her. She raised her brows as she chewed the peanuts she popped into her mouth while he was talking and pushed a pile of papers towards him.

"That's the lists of all of the heroes that we know are alive in the Universes of those present. Once we track them down and get them here, we can start building Universal Bases in safe spots in each Universe so we can better connect and work." My Bruce explained as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"And these-" He added as he pushed another pile of papers towards Second Thor.

"-have all of the surviving planets and their classes on them. M Type are the ones humans and Asgardians can live on."

"Good work. We will work on getting those heroes found and bases set up." Second Thor nodded as he tapped the pile of papers.

"Sounds great, we're gonna take The Elder home, then Sebastian and then head home ourselves." I said as I leaned into Loki.

"T.J, shouldn't you just head home first and let Loki handle everything? You've been through a lot." Tony said as he crossed his arms in a worried dad fashion.

"T.J?" Sebastian asked as he raised a brow.

"No, Dad, I shouldn't. Loki and I are a team and I promised The Elder I'd get him home." I argued as I let Loki's hand go and mimicked Tony's stance.

"Wait, Dad??" Sebastian asked as both of his brows raised up in surprise. Tony put his hands on his heart and smiled as he melted into himself in front of everyone.

"My first nickname from you and it's Dad." He gushed. I couldn't help but smile at him and his dramatic reaction. Of course his nickname from me would be "Dad", he's basically my dad. I love him like one and he's been the first real father figure in my life. I mean, I had my uncle but he wasn't that great at being a father to his own kids, let alone me.

"I am Groot?"

"Are we going soon?" The Elder asked as he awkwardly stood outside of the room, he was too big to fit though the door.

"I am Groot."

"Yeah." I answered.

"I am Groot."

"You let me enjoy this moment you big stick." Tony playfully snapped at The Elder. The Elder, and the rest of the group, was surprised to hear Tony speaking The Elder's language.

"What?" Tony shrugged as he looked around.

"There was a very strenuous and intense class offered on Assgard to learn Flora Colossi and I took it." He casually explained.

"It was a children's course." Loki pointed out.

"Shut it." Tony motioned for Loki to zip his lips and Loki tried to hide his amused smile.

"Okay, we're leaving." I said as I motioned for Sebastian to join Loki and I. He walked over and I put my hand on his shoulder as The Elder placed his branched out hand on my shoulder. Loki pulled me close and Tony pressed the button to send us to our Universe.

We appeared in the same spot we were taken from but the deck of the Hellicarrier was empty this time. No people were around and that was really weird. Sebastian and The Elder let me go and Loki and I cautiously looked around for any signs of people.

"Something's wrong." Loki said as he took a step back towards me.

"Isn't it always?" I asked as I gripped my fists. Loki grabbed my hand, I grabbed Sebastian's hand, he grabbed The Elder's branch and then Loki teleported us to Fury's office. I let go and rushed to the trashcan as vomit came up and out of my mouth.

"Sorry, my love." Loki sincerely sighed. I gave him a thumbs up as I continued to vomit the chips I had at the party a few days ago. I haven't been able to eat anything since.

"Um, welcome back." Fury's voice said from behind us. We turned around and he flipped the light switch on as he wanted into his office and closed the door.

"Where is everyone? It is like a ghost town up there." Loki said as he plopped down in one of the chairs by Fury's desk. Fury examined The Elder as he walked past him and to his own chair.

"Meeting about the universes, we decided to brief everyone." Fury explained as he set a folder down on the desk and then sat down.

"Cracker?" He offered me as I sat down on the floor by the trashcan. I shook my head no and Loki conjured up some water for me. I chugged it and laid my head back against the wall as I closed my eyes.

"How'd it go over there? You're all bloody, so I assume it went great." Fury joked. None of our comms or implants worked over there and Fury couldn't see anything we were doing.

"Routine nonsense. Good guy ends up being evil, Alex and both Thors were stabbed, our Thor lost an eye-".

"You guys are like twins now." I interrupted Loki with my bad joke.

"We killed Tiny Tony, he was working on behalf of dead Evil Loki, ummm and that's it." Loki finished.

"Found an Elder from Groot's planet and a Bucky who isn't really Bucky but a Sebastian who plays Bucky in that universe where we don't exist really, only in comic books and movies. Killed a bit of Evil Loki that was trapped inside of my head and took my over after I was poisoned." I added as I opened my eyes and pointed to Sebastian and The Elder.

"Wha-Evil Lo- took you over? Why didn't you lead with that?" Fury asked as he looked over and down at me. I just shrugged.

"I said I killed him." 

"He also, apparently, unlocked Alex's mind to her powers. She was able to weld the elements on their Asgard." Loki said as he shrugged.

"I want you to test that later today." Fury ordered as he leaned back in his chair.

"How's Agent Hill's part coming along?" He asked us.

"Oh, you know what they say. Give an Agent Hill a list and she'll be busy for a day, teach her to make a list and she'll be busy for the rest of her life." I replied before taking another drink of my self filling glass of water.

"Pretty sure that's not the saying." Loki flashed me an amused smile.

"It definitely is. It's an Earth thing." I playful argued, smiling back.

"Alright, good. Now, why is this not Bucky Bucky here?" Fury asked as he looked over at Sebastian, who was awkwardly standing with The Elder in the corner of the room.

"We're gonna take him back to his own universe." I said as I slowly stood up. Loki rushed over and let me use him for support, I never knew vomiting could take so much out of you.

"But we're gonna drop off The Elder first." Loki added as he let me go and looked over at Fury.

"Might be able to catch Groot on the deck. The Guardians came down for the briefing." Fury said as he pointed upwards towards the top deck.

"Go, Loki, catch them. We'll make our way up." I said as I looked over at Loki. He disappeared and I half saluted Fury as I walked out of his office. Sebastian, The Elder and I walked over to the elevator and I pressed the up button. I wasn't going to use my powers because The Elder is too big for me to lift right now.

"So, back there in Tiny Tony's base you said there was no Alex in your universe?" I asked Sebastian as we waited.

"Yes, well, no. Okay, technically there was no Alex because the movie she was supposed to appear in never happened because of the whole...end of the world." He explained as he shoved his hands into his pockets.

"But the company we worked for had, like, 15 movies already planned out and people signed to them for the future." He continued. The elevator doors opened and we stepped inside, The Elder squishing us together against the back wall. It was awkward.

"Sounds like they really knew their movies would do good." I laughed a little as I shifted away from Sebastian and into the corner behind The Elder.

"Marvel movies were huge. Everyone knew who we were. Movies, games, comics, toys, shows, we were everywhere." He laughed.

"So, if you had no Alex, who do I look like?" I asked him as I raised a curious brow.

"Her name was Cara. She was cast to play Alex in a SpiderMan movie." Sebastian answered as the elevator stopped and the doors opened.

"Oh." An Agent said from the hallway as she stared in on us.

"Sorry, we're full." I politely shrugged. She smiled and the doors closed on us again.

"What was the movie about?" I asked as I looked back over at Sebastian.

"I'm not 100% sure because it was never put into production, but I think it was about Peter Parker going to work for some company Stark owned and Alex was an intern there too and some accident gives her powers and she and adult SpiderMan, ya know, do the hero thing." He shrugged.

"Sounds close to what really happened." I laughed as I leaned back against the wall. The elevator stopped again and Scott Lang removed his helmet and smiled at us.

"Hey Scott." I smiled back.

"Hey." He said as he put his hand on The Elder. He shrunk down and ran up The Elder's arm as the doors closed. He jumped off and landed on the bar that ran along the walls of the elevator.

"Wow." Sebastian laughed as he stared on in amazement. Scott ran up my fingers and over my hand and then climbed up to the top of my shoulder and sat down as he looked over at Sebastian.

"Why's Bucky looking at me like that?" Scott asked me.

"Not Bucky." I chuckled.

"It's really weird to take the form of your girlfriend's ex, Loki." Scott said as he crossed his arms.

"Ex?" Sebastian asked as he looked away from the tiny man and up to me.

"It's not Loki." I said as I looked down at Scott.

"And yeah, the Bucky in this universe and I were a thing for a little bit." I shrugged.

"If it isn't Loki or Bucky, who is it?" Scott asked.

"I'm Sebastian and I'm from a universe where the heroes don't really exist and we just play them in movies." He explained.

"Oh, neato." Scott chuckled. The doors opened up and I pushed The Elder out and then walked out myself, Sebastian following. The deck was full of people now, giving the Hellicarrier more life. I spotted Groot and the others by Quill's ship.

"Hey!" I smiled as I waved. Scott said his goodbyes and jumped off of my shoulder and on to one of his flying ants and then flew away.

"I am Groot."

"An Elder." Groot said as he stared at The Elder in awe. The Elder slowly bowed before Groot and then reached out and touched his face.

"I am Groot."

"A hero." He proudly whispered.

"I am also a hero." Drax announced as he gripped his belt.

"Me too!" Mantis giggled.

"I'm more of a hero than these losers." Rocket scoffed.

"Oh my god." Gamora whispered as she rolled her eyes.

"I am Groot."

"They'll take you home." I smiled at The Elder as he gently pulled away from Groot.

"I am Groot."

"Thank you." The Elder nodded at me and I returned the nod before backing away and giving them space. Loki joined Sebastian and I, taking my hand and pulling me close, and we watched the Guardians pile into the ship, arguing like they always do. I waved as they flew away and then looked over at Sebastian, who was still in amazed shock.

"Alright, 1 home and 1 to go."
