Chapter 45

It took us a long time to get organized and that pissed everyone off. We were all trying to work together but couldn't help arguing and letting our true feelings show, which sucked. But we eventually made a plan.

My Bruce and Tony get to help Hill by traveling around Earth and tracking down the missing heroes that the second Thor and Miles know are alive. They made a list of last known locations for them. Hill will keep in contact with the pair and work at the base and take inventory of all the supplies the rebellion has left. The second Thor said he and a few others have been scavenging for things but they haven't had much luck.

Loki, Peter, the second Thor, Tiny Tony, and my Thor and I have the honor of tracking down T and killing them. The second Thor is sure that T is working from this universe as a base and Tiny Tony said it's because he's T. That caused another huge fight but since Hill paired them up for the mission it calmed them down. The other Bruces, Peters, Steve, other other Thors and Bucky are saying behind to help Hill and the others.

"Alright guys, be safe." Hill nodded at us. Loki wrapped his arms around my waist and held me against his chest as we floated off of the ground. I wasn't able to control the elements in this universe, Bruce said he's gonna study a few natural thing, like water and the dirt, to find out why. Normally it was just "it's an alien planet is why" but this is another Earth, it should be exactly the same. Bruce said this is gonna push science and what we know through the roof.

To help Peter get around here, Tony designed him a new suit. Thrusters can be activated in his feet to push him up into the air, the longer he holds the button in the higher he goes, and then web gliders come out from under his arms and attach to his sides to let him glide around. It was an amazing design and Peter said he was excited to try it. He thrusted himself off of the ground and glided past us. He began to decline in the air, so he activated the thrusters again and was sent flying higher, getting more air to glide in. The Thors joined us, flying next to Loki and I while Peter glided around.

"Where's the other Tony?" I asked my Thor.

"He said he would join us once we got there. He did not wish to travel along side us." My Thor replied.

"What a loser." I said as I rolled my eyes.

Apparently, this T guy set up a large base in what used to be Arizona. I say used to be because when the evil Loki took over this Earth, he destroyed everything, wiping it out of existence. We landed about a mile from the base and Tiny Tony landed a few minutes later. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't what I saw. This base was decked out in tech and robotics. It was so large I could see it from where we were hiding out. Miles said it had sensors and cameras everywhere and soldiers patrolling every inch of it. He said he couldn't make it inside, even while being invisible. He was caught and barely got away. 

I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail and tightened it as the guys formed a circle to talk about the plan.

"We all remember what to do?" The other Thor asked us.

"Loki and our Thor go under illusions because second Thor is scared of Loki, and-"

"Am not. And I'm not second Thor." Second Thor scoffed. I rolled my eyes and continued on.

"And get past the guards outside and into the base. There they cause a distraction and Peter pow pow with his webs to block the cameras." I said, doing his signature hand gesture.

"Then me and second Thor take get in and take out whoever we see and navigate through the base with Loki communicating with his telepathy about what he and Thor see and where they've been." I explained.

"And we eventually will find T hiding out somewhere and bang wap pow his ass to next year and then we're done, day saved." I nodded.

"All while this Tony hides outside." I added.

"Keeping watch, not hiding." Tiny Tony replied as he exhaled hard.

"Right, but, that's normally what scared people do." I shrugged.

"I don't trust any of you. I think that Thor is T and that Loki is evil." Tiny Tony scoffed as he crossed his arms.

"No way am I going in there with you." He added.

"Alright." I shrugged. I didn't care for him and knew we could do it without him anyway.

"Annnnnnd break." I said, clapping once and smiling. I gave Loki a nice big and long good luck kiss before he changed himself and Thor to look like the guards out front. They all wore black armored clothing with black helmets so it was easy to hide among them. We slowly made our way to the base and the rest of us hid while Loki and my Thor walked up to the entrance. My heart was pounding as the guards stopped and talked to them. They managed to get in and I glanced over to the left, where Peter was hiding behind another large rock. After a few minutes an alarm went off inside and one of the guards left to check it out but one stayed.

"Now what?" Tiny Tony asked.

"How are you an Iron Man?" I raised a brow. Peter jumped up and shot a small web at the guard and then ran away from the rock and around a large tree to the right. The web splattered around his black shiny helmet visor and the guard dropped his gun as he reached up to pull it off. In his panic, the guard stumbled backwards and into the wall of the base. Peter shot a few more webs and changed position as they hit the guard's legs and arms, pinning him. Peter took out the cameras around the entrance and I nodded to second Thor.

"Go time." He nodded back. We ran out from our hiding spot and sprinted towards the entrance. I grabbed the guard's gun off of the ground and used the butt of it t hit the guard's head with, knocking him out. I threw the strap over my shoulder and gripped the handle as we walked inside.

"Are you in?" Loki asked me.

"Yeah." I replied. Inside of the base was very advanced. The doors were the kind that you see in space movies, the ones that slide up and down, the walls and floors were a grey metal but it didn't really make a sound when walking on it. There was a line green glowing trim of light around the upper and lower parts of the walls and sensors above every entrance. We managed to dodge them because they moved on a swivel.

"We turned left once inside. We are heading further that way." Loki informed me.

"Got it. Be safe."

"Always."

"Let's go right. Loki said they went left." I relayed the information to second Thor. As we slowly navigated through the giant hallways, I couldn't help but feel like something was off. Loki and my Thor did create a distraction, but I don't think it was enough to keep the guards away for this long.

"Something's up." I whispered as we turned a corner.

"Yeah. Where is everyone?" Second Thor whispered back. We suddenly heart talking and stopped at the end of another hallway, our backs to the wall and my finger on the trigger of my gun. We couldn't hear what they were saying, their helmets muffled the sound, but I could tell there was 2 people.

"I got this." Second Thor nodded as he lifted his hammer up to chest height.

"You might wanna move away from the wall." He added as he looked at the metal and then down to my feet and I immediately knew why. He rushed out of the hall and slammed his hammer down on the metal ground, sending a harsh current around us. I moved away from the wall and held my gun up and put my finger on the trigger as I aimed the way we came, just in case. The purple electricity covered the walls and floors around me but the rubber on the bottoms of my boots stopped it from hurting me. Since I wasn't able to control the elements here, this Thor would have definitely killed me with his lightening.

I heard screaming and some fighting behind me but could tell second Thor was winning. His hammer crashed and banged against the metal area as well as the guards. I heard running from the way we came and tensed up as I held the gun tightly.

"Second Thor is taking out two guards to the East and I hear....5 more coming, I think." I thought to Loki. He didn't immediately reply and I knew that was bad.

"Loki??" I called out in my head. The group I had heard came rushing around the corner and quickly raised their guns when seeing me. The current on the ground had stopped and I couldn't hear anymore fighting.

"Thor?" I cautiously called out to behind me, my eyes locked on the guards. My finger gently tightened on the trigger as I clenched my jaw.

"Thor???" I knew he didn't get defeated by those guards, he was Thor, a God. My gut was telling me something was wrong. One of the guards slowly lowered his gun and aimed it at my stomach. My heart was racing but all of the shooting lessons Bucky taught me came rushing back. I calmed myself down and thought about my situation and the guards. They were blocking my exit but my back was to another. I had no idea what was behind that exit, but as of right now, it was better than this. The only guard with his finger on the trigger is the one aiming at my stomach and Bucky says it takes a normal person at least 5 seconds to react to a gunshot and put their finger on the trigger. A trained person takes 3 at most.

"If the gun is automatic, you can pop off 2-3 shots before someone pulls their trigger, you just gotta know who's gonna do it faster and take them out first."  Those were his wise words when teaching me how to shoot.

I examined the way each guard was standing. Bucky told me that you can see who's gonna shoot faster by their stance, not the finger on the trigger. Only two of the five guards were standing like he taught me how to. I picked those two and the one aiming at my stomach to take out. I slowly took a step back to slyly adjust my aim to the one aiming at my stomach. I inhaled and pulled the trigger, the bullet busting through his helmet and into his head. Before it could even hit him, I spun to the left and shot the other two guards. As soon as I pulled the trigger the third time, I spun on my heels and sprinted away. I managed to get into the next hall and spotted a door to the right of me. I ran inside and quietly closed the door as foot steps echoed behind me. I put my back against the wall and silently cursed as the guards stopped by the door.

They swung it open and I used the butt of my gun to bash the first guard. I spun to the entrance and shot at the second one but he dodged it. He shot me in the shoulder and I let out a harsh groan as I shot him back, this time hitting him in the head. I dropped my gun and reached up to my wound, wincing once I touched it. I exhaled hard and walked out of the room, noticing the two guards and second Thor were both gone.

"Tiny Tony was right." I whispered. Second Thor's body not being here and the guards not being here was very suspicious. He would have yelled out if he was chasing them and there's no way these guys could have taken on a God with just regular bullets.

"Loki??" I called out again. Someone suddenly grabbed me from behind, covering my mouth and wrapping their arm tightly around my throat. I tried to pull away but they tightened their grip and everything went black.

*Meanwhile. Loki's POV*

I flinched in pain as a high pitched noise echoed around me. I covered my ears to stop it but quickly realized it was coming from inside of my head. It began to get louder and louder and I dropped to my knees as it continued. Thor stopped and knelt down next to me as he frantically watched me in pain. The noise stopped and I dropped my hands as I took a few breaths.

"What is it, brother?" He asked me as he helped me to my feet.

"I do not know." I replied as I fixed my hair and exhaled hard.

"Alex?" I called out through thoughts. My body tensed and I realized what had just happened.

"Someone managed to emit a noise so loud it broke my connection with Alex." I informed Thor.

"We must go, they could be in danger." Thor nodded. 

"Right before the connection was lost, she had said they were East." I nodded as I turned around and began walking back the way we came. We made it to the entrance of the base without seeing another guard and I found that very strange. We turned right and followed the hall like Alex and the second Thor did.

"Where is everyone?" Thor asked as we continued on.

"It is very odd." I nodded. We turned a few corners and then turned down one with dead bodies. Thor and I both stopped as we examined the scene and I relaxed realizing none of them were Alex. We stepped over them and continued down the hall.

"Alex?" Thor asked, talking about the bodies.

"Who else?" I chuckled a little. I felt proud of Alex and her ability to take care of herself, she was independent but also loved working with others. Her training over the years has turned her into a great warrior.

"More blood." Thor said as I turned the corner after him. I furrowed my brows as I looked around the scene and bodies on the floor. Blood lead to another room nearby and we found more bodies there.

"No blood leading this way, the one in the room is not shot and the other one did not move from his spot. Who else was here?" I asked as I looked at the small pool of blood and few drops that surrounded it.

"There was a struggle." Thor nodded as he looked around too.

"Alex has been hurt and taken." I harshly said. 

"Where is the other me?" Thor asked as he looked around for more clues.

"Waiting for us somewhere deep in this false base." I scoffed. I could not believe we were all fooled by the second Thor and Tiny Tony was right all along. This was just a set up to lure us here and we fell for it. I pushed the anger from being fooled away and focused on the only important thing.

Finding my Alex.
