Chapter 26
16:55, 8 October 2021*Alex's POV*
"Get the girl." A whiney voice said as he walked past the cage I was in. I don't remember what happened after Loki grabbed me. I don't know how long it's been, where I am, where he is, or what happened to my Earth. I've been cuffed in a small cage for a few days now. They put a collar on me that stopped my powers and that scared me. It meant that knew about my powers and knew they had to suppress them.
"Come on." Another high pitched voice chuckled as he walked past the cage. These beings were rock humanoids that all stood 6 feet or higher. They were large and I only ever saw males.
The being threw open my cage and grabbed my cuffed hands as he jerked me out. I hit the ground with my knees and the bright sun blinded me. I dropped my head to avoid it and the male grabbed me by the back of my hair as he pulled me to my feet. He pushed me towards a wagon and I shuffled there as I examined my surroundings. It was the first time they let my out of the cage since I woke up. I could see I was in a small village surrounded by thick forest with only one road leading to and from it. The rock men surrounded me as I climbed into the back of the wagon. I tried to pull on my cuffs but they were a thick metal, they just dug into my wrists.
"When will you be back?" One of the men asked the driver of the wagon. Their horses looked similar to Earth's, but they were rocks. It seemed that everything that was alive around here was just made from rocks.
"Tonight, my love." The other rock man replied as he leaned down and kissed the first man. He pulled away and looked over to the others who were watching them.
"I'll be back tonight and we'll be rich!!" He shouted, causing the others to cheer. I furrowed my brows in confusion as the man ordered the horses to go. We quickly drove away from the village and through the forest. I thought about jumping out of the wagon but the two men staring at me put that thought to rest. I knew they would get me before I could escape. My best option was to wait until we got to wherever we were going.
*1 Hour Later*
We pulled up to a large castle that was made of wood of all things. It was quite beautiful though. The wagon stopped and the men pushed me out, causing me to fall on my knees again. I slowly stood up and the driver of the wagon smiled at me as he watched me brush the dirt from my pants.
"You're gonna make my people very rich." He harshly said. I glared up at him and he nodded to the men behind me. One pushed me, telling me to walk forward. I clenched my jaw and did as I was told and we filed into the castle. Large guards took us to a throne room and I raised a brow as I looked around. There were a couple dozen rock men all facing the throne that their king sat in. I found it weird that it was still only men.
"Cobalt." The king loudly greeted the driver as we stopped. The driver bowed down and moved aside, revealing me to the people. The king's eyes went wide and he sat up in his throne as he examined me.
"I told ya! We found a woman!" The driver, who's name is apparently Cobalt, excitedly said.
"Where?" The king harshly demanded to know.
"She landed near my village in Lavara a few days ago." Cobalt replied as he looked up to the king.
"Why does she have that around her neck." The king asked as he raised a brow at his men.
"We don't know, sir. She landed with it." Cobalt answered, shrugging. I tilted my head to the left a little as I furrowed my brows.
"If they didn't put this on me, who did?" I asked myself.
"Do you understand us?" The king suddenly asked me, narrowing his eyes. I glared up at him but stayed silent, refusing to answer.
"She does." Cobalt answered for me.
"I want to hear her." The king harshly said as he glared over at Cobalt and then looked back at me.
"Answer me." He snarled. I tightened my jaw and kept my cold glare on him.
"Guards!" The king shouted out. The points of spears appeared at the base of my neck, the cold metal barely touching my skin. I tensed up and swallowed hard as I furrowed my brows at the king.
"Yes." I harshly replied.
"Good." He said as he stood up from his throne and walked down the two steps from his platform to the ground I stood on.
"What is your name?" He asked as he looked down at me. I glared at the guards and one gently poked his spear into my neck, using just enough pressure to draw some blood.
"Alex."
"Well, Alex, let me tell you a little about my people." The king harshly said as he nodded to his men, telling them to drop the spears. They backed away from me and the king sat back down in his throne.
"My people despise women. We killed off all of our women thousands of years ago when we learned we could bare children using the marrow found in other men's innards. Women are nosey, annoying, distrustful, whores! They never deserved us!" He shouted, causing the others around him to cheer.
"I'm sure they're happier being dead than around you cunts." I harshly said as I glared around me to the other men. The cheering stopped and the king snarled at me as he jumped from his throne and stormed down to me. He stopped a few inches from my face but I stood tall and glared back into his red eyes.
"How unfortunate of you to land here." He chuckled as he backed away from me.
"The woman will be executed tonight as dinner entertainment!" He announced. I inhaled and I clenched my jaw but tried to keep my calm.
"Sir." A voice called out. The cheering and commotion died down and all eyes fell to another rock man as he walked out from behind the throne. He looked like he entered from the room to the left of the throne.
"What?" The king asked as he walked back to this throne, his voice softer now.
"Might I make another suggestion?" He smirked. I furrowed my brows and stared at him as he walked to the center of the room, standing in front of me. There was something about his smirk that felt familiar.
"Go ahead." The king nodded.
"This is the first woman to be on this planet in over 3 thousand years." He started as he glared over at me in disgust.
"What if you were to....impregnate her?" He offered as he looked back at his king and smiled.
"What??" I loudly scoffed. Cobalt kicked me in the back of the knee and I fell to the floor as he grabbed the back of my hair and shushed me.
"Explain." The king demanded.
"If successful, you would have the first blood born heir to the throne in over 3 thousand years. A true son." The man smirked again as he walked from one side of the room to the other.
"I would rather die than have relations with that thing, Ignis!" The king scoffed and I closed my eyes as relief took over.
"You would simply need to insert a device which pushes your sperm into her uterus. No actual relations needed." Ignis explained more. My eyes shot open and the king raised a curious brow, thinking about the man's words.
"A true heir. The first child in over 3 thousand years to share blood with you. Real DNA." The man whispered as he slowly walked around the throne, smirking at the king.
"Yes." The king nodded as he looked over at me. I intertwined my fingers and made one giant fist in front of me. I threw it back, smashing Cobalt in the face. The impact immediately bruised my hands but he let me go as he grabbed his face. I pulled away from them and swung on one guard, knocking his spear from his hands. I grabbed it and held it out as I backed myself into the wall.
"I'd rather fucking die." I harshly said.
"Take her to a room on the 5th floor. Guard the doors." The king waved his men towards me. Rock men rushed me and I stabbed one before the others tore the spear from me and pinned me to the wall.
"I shall accompany them." Ignis announced as he smirked at me. I spit in his direction and he lost his smirk and his brows narrowed as he tensed up. He inhaled and ordered the men to bring me. They pushed me forward and towards the door Ignis came out of. We walked up 5 flights of stairs and entered a long hallway. I was pushed towards a thick door and Ignis threw it open. The guard pushed me inside and the door slammed shut and I could hear Ignis ordering the men to keep watch of me.
"Not fucking happening." I harshly whispered. I walked over to the window and stared down at the rocks below me. It wasn't safe to jump and I couldn't climb with my hands cuffed. The door behind me suddenly opened and I turned around to see a smirking Ignis walk in. He closed the door and I clenched my jaw as I watched him. He cautiously walked over to me and motioned for me to hold my hands out. I did and he pulled my hands apart, snapping the chain on the cuffs. I pulled away from him and raised a brow as I looked back up at him.
"You're welcome, Alex." His voice changed midsentence and I laughed a little as a green aura overcame him and transformed him back into his true form.
"Loki."
"In the flesh." He smirked. I pulled my right hand back and slapped him as hard as I could. His brows furrowed and he touched the spot on his cheek as he looked back at me.
"Owe." He replied.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" I harshly whispered.
"What?" He genuinely asked me.
"Giving those freak assholes the idea to impregnate me?!" I scoffed.
"You're so fucking crazy, Loki!" I added.
"After what I went through on-"
"I saved your life." Loki argued as he motioned for me to keep it down. I crossed my arms and let out a harsh exhale through my nose as I stared at him.
"They were going to kill you. Had I not given him the idea to have a child with you, you'd be dead in a few hours. This way, you have at least a few days to live. A few days for us to figure out how to get off this planet." He explained as he dropped his hand. I realized he was right and sighed as I walked over and sat on the bed. He joined me and I put my head on his shoulder out of instinct. I quickly moved and cleared my throat as I stared down at the wooden floor.
"How'd we get here?" I asked him, gently kicking the tip of my foot along the wood.
"The...dark figure took us from Tronlet." Loki informed me. I raised a brow and looked over at him as he stared out the window, remembering what happened to us.
"After you passed out I called on Heimdall but he didn't answer. He probably saw the world eater as too big of a threat to risk sending the bifrost for us. Something else took us and by the time I realized what was happening, we were off the planet." He said as he furrowed his brows and clenched his jaw.
"And the collar?" I asked, touching the thick metal collar that sat tightly around my neck. I looked down to his and saw that he didn't have one.
"Some of the figure's men appeared behind us in the beam. They separated us and clamped a collar around you. I fought them off, grabbed you and threw us out of the beam. I landed near the castle and the rock man named Ignis found me. I...eliminated his presence and took his form." Loki said as he looked down to the ground and then over at me. I dropped my hand and let it sit on my lap as I looked away from him and over to the door of the room.
"Alex, I thought you were dead. I've been here for 4 weeks." He suddenly said. I furrowed my brows and looked over at him before looking down to his chest and then to the window. I watched as Cobalt and his men drove their wagon away from the castle, it was full of bags of gold.
"I can only remember the last few days, Loki." I softly said as I looked back at the God.
"I assume your injuries from the fall is the cause of that. Your body most likely went into a coma to cope with the pain." He explained as he examined my body. I had small cuts and bruises on me but other than that I was perfectly fine. He could be right though, I fell incredibly weak and drained of energy.
"Why didn't you just leave?" I asked as I looked over at him.
"I tried calling upon Heimdall but he didn't answer. He must sense a bigger threat coming and didn't want to risk sending the bifrost to me." Loki sighed.
"Well, I'm glad you didn't get to leave." I smiled a little. Loki smiled back and then slowly reached up and gently tucked a fallen strand of hair behind my ear. His fingers slowly traced down my jawline and then he stopped. He slowly ran his thumb over my cheek and my heart began to rapidly beat in my chest. I hadn't felt his touching so long. It felt so wrong but so right.
"I missed you." He whispered, leaning closer as his eyes traveled down to my lips.
"I missed you too, Loki." I whispered back. My heart was screaming at me to kiss him, to feel him against me again.
"But..." I gently removed his hand and he clenched his jaw as his brows furrowed in anger.
"I'm dating Bucky." I said as I let his hand go. Loki nodded and looked down to the floor. I could see he was hurt and angry over this but I refused to feel guilty about it. He was gone for a year and a half, I couldn't be alone forever. I had no way of knowing what happened to him. I needed to be happy again.
The door began to open and Loki jumped to his feet as he turned back into Ignis and backed away from me. I crossed my arms as the king walked in and smirked at me. He motioned for Loki to follow him, so he did without question. I sighed as they closed the door and looked around the small room, wondering when I'd see Loki again.
